    I watched your video before tackling my partners dci qashqai, and now I'm watching this video before doing my insignia cdti 😅 brilliant work it's harder than you'd think on the drive way but I manged to get the qashqai done in around 5 hours with loads of stops for the rain and fairly basic tools. Saved hundreds and the car is fantastic now. Cheers.

    Thought I'd leave it a while before commenting... The car being worked on is My car - it's a bit cleaner these days!! I've just rolled 182,000 miles and since the clutch was fitted, I've done 10-12,000 miles. Still operates like new, really pleased with the job. Kevin, you are the man!! Thank you, I'll see you at 340,000 miles 😎😎

    Hi Kevin just found your video and it was great learning new knowledge. I own a 2011 2.0 diesel insignia and earlier in the evening my clutch got failed. Through my little knowledge I found no leaks anywhere, completely dry under and last week only my car passed road test. I am no mechanic but I was wondering if it can be only a master cylinder problem? Please share some guidance before I take it to mechanic. 🙏🏼

    Another great video! I was wondering about my car... I've recently replaced a drive shaft (near side) and I'm sure my engine mounts are going or worse, the reason for this i'm also sure is because the DMF is slightly out so over vibrating on starting the engine, it doesn't shake violently on start-up but I think over the past 18 months the constant wreching because the DMF is out with the starter on start-up has rattled the heck out of the engine mounts?
    What do you reckon, is a whole clutch kit replacement the way to go or just the DMF?
    Your help would be immensely appreciated.

    Hi kevin i noticed you dont use your quick jack vehicle lift anymore is there any reason for that as i was thinking of getting one you see. do you not rate them whats your personal opinion on them as you have experience using one

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 роки тому

      Hey Mike.
      I still use it, but only for RWD vehicles. As it’s a lot better for all wheels up in the air.
      But for FWD it’s a lot quicker for me to just jack up the front wheels.,
      I still rate the quick jack. If ever I move in a workshop I’ll be using it everyday. ✨🍻🍻🍻

    2 questions what did you put around the bottom of the slave and what did you charge for this?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 роки тому

      It’s a special sealant that will stop the rubber disintegrating over time which is a cause for oil leak through the gearbox

    Hey, random question don’t know if you or anybody can help, I have just had a complete clutch replacement on my car and it doesn’t feel the same to drive anymore, feels heavier is the best way to put it and sounds like a squeaky noise from the steering wheel when you turn it stationary, has something been put back wrong?

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  Рік тому

      It should feel a lot lighter. Not heavy.
      The clutch pressure plate is the incorrect one my best guess.
      Squeaky noise might be the suspension top mount.

    Hi...i need some info plz...i had a garage change my dmf and clutch 5 years ago...ive only done 30000 miles since and my clutch made the most horrendous noise and seized up and now the car wont even start...just makes a weird struggling sound..and only 2 inch of movementon the clutch pedal...can i assume the dmf and clutch will need changing again.?...i wont pay 1200 quid for a repair if the cars only worth 1500 so im thinking of tackling it myself...would you recommend someone try this with very basic mecanic skills?..and any advise would be much appreciated..thankyou

    Hi Kevin, just doing a clutch and DMF change on my Insignia 1.4 and I notice there is no locating dowel in the end of the crankshaft, although there is a hole on the crankshaft and DMF. Do you know if it should have one or not? Thanks

    • @WMCS
      @WMCS  3 роки тому

      Not always. Sometimes the bolting holes are offset. So you can’t fit it wrongly.
      Have you tried fitting it and see if it aligns.

    Hi, help would be very welcome, replaced 2013 insignia clutch with a struggle as I am 75, big problem is all back together but now don`t have reverse 5th or 6th gear. what have I missed? selects 1 -4 ok. both cables clipped in place on gearbox. does the gear lever have to be in a certain position before connecting cables back on gearbox?
