This week I stopped by Revelation Aerospace based in Jasper GA.
revelaero.com/
This is the company that’s building the single seat Canard aircraft I emailed everyone about a week ago.
The Revelaero aircraft comes on 3 different models as listed below. These are all experimental which you’ll have to buy the kit and build yourself or through a build assist.
Talon (entry level) - 80 hp piston engine/ 160 mph cruise/ $27,000
Stryker (mid level) - 150 hp piston engine/ 220 mph cruise/ $38,000
Voodoo (top of the line) - Jet engine/ 418 mph cruise/ $38,000

Wow. You can feel like a true fighter pilot
I so want one! The first 2 seat voodoo will be a total hit!
My friend Jeff is the builder/designer of this aircraft. Cool to see him getting some coverage of it.
Do you know what jet engine he intends for the voodoo
I know this is old... but is this jet in production?
We've been looking at the teasers for more than 4 years now. When do we see an actual airplane, actually fly? When do we see a price list, kit availability, etc. WHEN???
Gotta love canard pushers! Great review, the legendary Burt Rutan design continues! It would also be nice to see a refreshed Berkut!
wait... a su-47 Berkut?
@@redjaypictures4528 No, I'm referring to the Berkut 360 - The Berkut 360 is a tandem-seating, two-seat homebuilt canard aircraft with pusher configuration and retractable landing gear, built primarily of carbon fiber and fiberglass. The plane is featured in the 2010 movie Kill Speed. This particular aircraft was introduced back in 1989 by the Berkut Aircraft Co. The Berkut and Revelaero are all derived from Burt Rutan's Long EZ canard design. The Su-47 Berkut is cool as well!

I see, i understand now, ive always thought planes like these looked kinda strange but after flying in one i really like them
@@redjaypictures4528 There is nothing more beautiful than a unique aircraft!
@@redjaypictures4528 The Berkut, was essentially a Long Ezee with 2 tip up canopies, and somewhat smoother lines, Looked like a Mini F-4 or F-5F
I want one because i like how it look like a fighter jet
The piston engine reminds me of a Canadian built Rotax. If so, it would be the biggest one I've ever seen. That airframe and control surfaces make it look pretty squirrelly like all high performance aircraft tend to be. I don't get to watch this video all the way through until later tonight, but so far it looks like a lot of technology for a pretty reasonable price. Where else are you gonna move faster than 160mph? 🤘😜🤘
this jet reminds me of the J7W2 Shidenkai jet, very cool looking aircraft.
Looks kinda like a Long-EZ. Pretty airplane.
I was disappointed that he didn’t recognize. It was a Burt Rutan inspired design.
Just a bit of advice @MojoGrip; the word is NOT 'electronical', it's just 'electronic', or 'electrically', or 'electronically' controlled. Thank you.
Out of the Atomic Age;)
These are incredible. 200+ mph for less than 100k? Jaw dropping.
a claim is only a claim until video proof, because 2019 Earth.
5 years late, the kit doesn't come with the powerplant. That said, these things are still awesome, and even at 80-100 for one of these complete, it's a personal fighter plane for $100. Closest I found to this was a used Cirrus CS-6(?) from Canada for just shy of $1M. It's a 2 seater that was used for fighter pilot training. So 10% the cost, and probably a similarly reduced annual cost too.
The Future is here! Thank you.
I'm inspired by you, I'm living in the Caribbean and I'm half way through getting my private license.
inspired by a liar?
Adymn Sani that’s a very ignorant thing to say. -The Cayman Islands
@@babyUFO. what has he lied about?
does the jet engine model have hang tanks on wings. what is burn rate and gal capacity?
You have to make it a two seat ,I want one. Nice.
The guy you’re talking to also helped in building the Raptor. Can’t wait to see that pusher fly. You should try to do a video on that plane of you can.
Pretty slippery but I am hooked on bi-planes. Maybe someday they will offer 2 and 4 place versions.
It kinda reminds me of the arwing from star fox and i would love to own one of these someday (If i learn how to fly that is)
When does a 3 ore 4 seat aircraft arrive
Beautiful plane, loving the lines and design of it! Thanks for the upload :)
I work at a military base and watch F5 fighters fly everyday... i really want to fly one... this plane maybe the best chance i get . Looks very nice and fast
I need this aircraft in my life
Is there any video of this plane flying?
Dear Mr Moto .. I nearly swallowed my coffee cup when I actually heard you say that JET might be for advanced pilots ? Wow really .. Damn what gave it away ?
Would love to have one of these but only after I get my Zenith. I would live in my Zenith fo sho
The D-Motor LF39 is 130 hp according to the factory website. More than enough for this super cool aircraft!
Thats peak power, 125 is max continuous.
It's actually listed as 125 hp on the D motor website (www.d-motor.eu/lf-39), but Mike's notes say 150 hp above.
I assume those prices don't include the engines. I wonder what the total costs would tend to be for everything you need. The jet version looks fun, but .62 of an hour flight times won't get you very far even at 400mph. They said it has over 600lbs of useful payload. I wonder how hard it would be to exchange some of that payload for more fuel capacity. They are cool though.
What kind of fuel does it use?
Cool tech will build mine.
Has it been in a wind tunnel?
When are they going to make a usable two seats version.
Awesome plane, can't wait to see it finished. Id go for the VooDoo....✌🏿. Nice video thanks for sharing.
would love to see this with a rear passenger seat.
I see you mold as a grateway to get production but what about a fusloge made with wings that retract inside in to them selves crating a flight with more lift when needed and less lift when you want to go bullet fast.😊
I see you're in my home state, that's cool how you travel and do reviews on different aircraft. It would be cool to hangout and talk
Aviation with you.
I can't find one video of this thing in flight.... Makes you drink!
I wonder what you'd have to do to fit a Falconer V12 and if that could get you similar performance to the historic XP-55 or J7W1 fighter planes. Minus the XP-55's instability problems.
It looks really good.
But let's be realistic it is essentially just a Long-EZ with the rudders moved in towards the center. And that will make the wing less efficient as the rudders then will not act as winglets reducing the wingtip vortices
Do the Kits include the engines? If not how much are the engines?
What qualifications must a pilot have to fly this type of aircraft.
A complex rating along with a private pilots license as I recall. I have not been an active pilot for 20 years.
You need to be a multi-engine jet rated pilot. Not cheap.
Mike, why the 2 controls?
can you get the voodoo with a double stack jet engines like a lightning? and also with folding wings.
and probably fuel pylons.
This would be wild on floats.
Nice job, Mike!
Truly....such a invaluable content.
How much extra to mount a pair of Sidewinders under the wings and a chain gun in the nose? Asking for a friend.
I'm working so hard in life right now so I can have cool airplanes through out my life. Maybe not more than one at a time but, 2040 if going to be lit for GA..
I didn't work hard at all, I just bought someone a pizza for bitcoin and then forgot about it for a few years.
Having a prop failure on this design seems to be a major issue considering what could be taken out with controls from the prop.
I can’t wait for the Voodoo...
Lived in Oshkosh for 19 years recently moved to the smokey mountains. I do miss the air show.... I have been watching your updates on different planes and enjoy what you post. I have never flown airplane and am very interested in a small craft to fly from Tennessee back to Oshkosh, Wisconsin a twelve hour drive without hitting Chicago traffic 15 hours if you get stuck in Chicago... What would be your recomendation for a first time flyer and buyer of a dependable aircraft that can fly at least 1,200 miles?
Nice but there's no way cabin width is 37" (a C172 is 40"). Maybe 27"?
Is there a Voodoo out flying yet?
Congrats on your 100K 🙌
You got me wanting to buy a jet! I dunno how I feel about that. Great vids! Subbed.
Those look like Saitek X36 throttle and stick they're using.
Did you make a mistake with the price for Woodoo because it's the same as for the Striker and Endurance for Woodoo you stated 0.62 hr is it mistake? I love the plane and you're doing great job. Keep it up
Sorry mate! Is that nautical miles an hour?
It’s Jeff from the Raptor project!!
For the Stryker how many HP to fly at 220MPH
Mike can you suggest where I can learn to fly in Tampa fly?
Great video Mike.
Was that price including the power plant? Do they have a flying proto type?
I like the concept now give it two small turbo jets. Gonna have to ceramic coat the skin after final assembly. Add a HUD display. To keep eyes up.
Awesome airplane, want to see it fly
It needs a better fuel capacity because right now, a subsonex would be better. It might not be as fast, but you can go further in it and the subsonex is a smaller craft. I mean, find a way to give it better fuel capacity and it can appeal to people who want a small personal jet for travel and make it as easy to fly as a subsonex too. It's 2023/2024, it's time to make personal flight more attainable at a lower cost.
You know what they say about opinions.........
@@kenmenees5197 yep, everyone else's asshole stinks except mine because I wash it twice a damn day.
dig your videos MojoMike!
Have you seen the raptor? They claim a lot of speed and humongus range?
This is really cool looking aircraft... IF these guys would UP the size to something with a LS-3 engine a much bigger body ,a pilot seat that would fit a 275lb person or better ... they would sell a billion of these............. I'm a wide shoulder ,wee bit heavier, size 13w foot person and I want one that fits me with a bit of extra room............... Now we'll have something really COOL ! ....and I want a Military paint job also.
Do you guys think that are playing like this could be used first stunts or aerobatics
I've been watching and looking and haven't yet seen one of these actually fly... or did I miss something? I'd love to see one flying, can't afford any of them, but would love to see the "POC" in action! Thanks for sharing!
Kinda resembles Burt Rutan's Ares military proposal jet
Love love love them
So cool
40k. plus another 20k for avionics and jet engine ... completely doable.
Burt Rutan built a bird like that. Had a canard also. Awesome prototype but the DoD rejected it. Would have been very cost effective was probably why they shut it down.
Awesome Mike!
i think it might take heavy design cues from the bert rutan designs?
Love to be able find some specs, stall speed, G load. You know basic anything.
It is suppose to compete at reno air race , so must pull about +/- 6-8 Gs , with 200kts speed
Great video Mike keep them coming
Great video!! Everbody should go check out the other airplanes in their roster!!!Super designs....This would be great for r/c and flights simmers!!! I love it!! VARI EZY and LONG EZY lovers will drool!!! A two seater will be a must for training!!
Have any flown yet???
Am looking to build a relatively quick single place, as I fly alone most of the time.
Dave.
Fantastic review (as always). Seems too good to be true. This will cause the demies of many kits that are locked into 1970s tradition.
What are the costs of the items not included in the kit pricing above (e.g. engine and avionics)? Is Jeff, the name of the first guy in the video, from the experimental Raptor Aircraft that is still underway?
I've seen those controllers before, hooked up to my computer. Saitek makes them, they're video game controllers!
The ARES lives!
WAY COOL!!!!
Awesome!
Like a sky motorcycle, in a way.
you gotta get the nissan 400hp 3 cylinder into this plane kit
Is that the same guy who was helping with the Raptor aircraft??
Oshkosh is a magical place, FULL of great ideas and DREAMS and concepts that have not flown yet and are so very far away from actually having production kits ready to ship right now. But, it is a magical place and it's fun to dream. You just need to keep perspective. Total number of kits shipped = 0. Total number of kits that have been finished and flown? Also zero.
How does reserve fuel requirement work on the jet version with 0.62hr which is 37min. Was it 3o min for VFR and 45 for IFR?? Can it fly from point A to B ?
Simple answer: No, the Jet has the same fuel capacity as the pistons die to useful load issues, making it impractical for anything other than looking cool. If you want the plane, go for the piston models
Avionics should go up with the canopy.
where is the head rest?
Beautiful
Good model... from Indonesia
Does its flying?
English please
Tried getting the website today and just get a 403 error :-(
Jo i want to buy some of theas and can i fly the voodoo in germany ?
They need to work on the Voodoo endurance. ) External fuel tanks like a fighter? .62 hours ain't much.
Croaking Toad I thought the endurance was a typo. After only 1/2 hour, you have to land to refuel?
WOW.... WOOWWWW! So Cool!!
Hey Mike can you do some content on the the manufacturing process Aircrafts i.e. the machines they use to design and form the body panels, I see this one is made of carbon fiber, which answered a question I've always wondered about. ✌
