@@poed9418 - No, apparently she means "powdered" sugar which I (and others in this thread) have just learned is the United Kingdom reference for that. You probably saw those other comments too, but you just had to add your snarky little "normal" one. By "normal" maybe you mean "granulated"? I saw a different baker say he uses granulated sugar, so maybe either powdered sugar or granulated would work. I wonder if you thought "cling film" looked "unusual" for you (but I bet you immediately figured out it was "plastic wrap" or some such thing). And "greaseproof" paper? Just because somebody speaks differently than you do doesn't mean they're wrong. YOU could be wrong. You BOTH can be right. Aside from this bit of input from me (an American who didn't immediately recognize the other meaning of "icing" sugar) -- your comment looks RUDE. Kind of looks like you think YOUR way of saying it is the "right" way and the video-maker is wrong or stupid. --Exactly why some people can't stand Americans who think they know everything and who think our ways of doing something are "normal" and everyone else is "abnormal" or wrong. Hi there, well you should be able to use anything that looks like a 'finger nail' but that won't melt while being baked. There may be some sweets (candies) that might work, such as dark coloured jelly beans. If we think of anything else, we'll let you know. In the meantime we hope that others who read this will share some ideas!
+Allrecipes UK | Ireland Thanks a lot of your passion too.Besides that, I have done your recipe last night for the first time, and I think it's great !
omg soooo good. Im giving my 2 year old soon to b 3 yr old son a costume party this halloween. How would i make these fingers brown. I want half this color and half brown
Holly Wood You could remove 3 Tablespoons of flour and Replace it with 3 Tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder!! This would give you a Chocolate sugar cookie!! Or just add a few drops of brown food gel!!! There you have it 😊😊😊😊😊
To make this better, I think they should have added pretzel inside the finger. So that when you bite into the finger, it makes it look like the bone. HERHER. Otherwise, well done!
+beyotchplez Definitely! You could also just do it all by hand, but that would require more effort. A KitchenAid or any other stand mixer will work just fine.
1 cup butter, softened
1 cup icing sugar (powdered sugar)
1 egg
1 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 2/3 cups plain flour (all-purpose flour)
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup whole almonds
Thanks
Yummy 😋
Icing sugar ya mean normal sugar?

Thinking you could use the red icing on the other to make it look more bloody, may be a bit of green for a bit of mold.
