Datto, I've got a challenge for you, I like to call it the blink only challenge. Basically everyone in the fire team has to be on a subclass that can blink (so that means that you have to be either a blade dancer or a void walker). Good luck I hope you see this.
This is why I like your destiny content because you do all the math to figure out what's best for every scenario like certain guns for certain enemies or how to max your ability cool downs , thank you.

Today while playing Destiny a guy in my fireteam said some stuff about Tier 12 items and I were like What? So he explained and showed me that Destiny Item Manager aswell to see what tiers my items were. So I checked through all my Titan items and I found out, the War Numens chest I have used for almost half a year cause it has the perfect rolls, actually had Tier 12 stats aswell with a 99%!!! Hi Datto. I have been doing some experiments trying to improve the quality %. Some I noticed: 1. Quality% can be improved with light increase. This only holds true for armor with 91% and above. If you have an armor of 91% at 290 light, it is guaranteed it will hit 96% or higher when reaching 335 light. 2. 90% quality armor has a chance to improve but only 50/50 chances. 3. 89% or lower quality armor, the only button to press is Square. 4. When you infuse it to higher light, the Int/Dis/Str may chance. Example: a gauntlet starting with Int + Str stats may have a chance to switch into Dis + Str after infusion, totally RnG. This is what I have experienced, I may be wrong but i do hope anybody can confirm this is valid. Stay awesome!
Regarding your final point (4), I believe it to be incorrect. I believe the gauntlets you are mentioning is about Spektar or rather those that have (3) Defense before infusion. You must have thought it changed something (int/dis/str) to something else for example - your gauntlets had strength & Intellect then upon infusing, had changed to Discipline & intellect. I believe you hadn't checked your gauntlets first because the rolls on the gear do not ever change unless it's an Exotic armour piece like Datto mentioned - which the only way to change the rolls is by using Glass shîtty needles that cost my bûmhôle. So I can 100% verify that nothing can ever change rolls upon infusing - unless using Glass Needles on EXOTIC Armour Pieces. Hope I helped.

Sunbreakers, Strikers and Bladedancer can technically hit tier 15 if you use the right perks on your subclass. If you have tier 5 intellect and tier 5 discipline on a Striker Titan you can use the perk Overload in the melee column which will reduce the melee cool down to about 23.5 seconds giving you tier 5 strength. Same goes with Sunbreakers is you use the perk Stoke the Forge it'll reduce melee cool down to 25 seconds also tier 5 strengths. As well as Bladedancer if you use Fast Twitch which reduce melee cool down to 5 seconds. Yup 5 seconds giving you way beyond tier 5 strength.

One of the guides to tier 12 I read was like "dont worry about getting the right perks on your tier 12 armor, it will just make it too difficult and complicated to reach tier 12 on top of all the other difficulties". So I immediately figured it's better to have good perks than tier 12 anyway. For example, my PVP helm has grenade kills give more super energy. This is probably a somewhat rare perk to proc, but it's still likely more useful in real action than a small strength cooldown decrease at tier 12 as opposed to tier 11. Same with scout loader on my gauntlets since I mostly use Mida. I'm not giving that up for Tier 12. So yes, in my opinion good armor perks are likely more valuable than tier 12. My compromise currently is Tier 11. I used to run tier ten 5/int 5/disc /0 strength because I didn't even care about tiers as long as I had max int/disc and I didn't even know they were a thing. Now I found I was able to fairly easily and with my good perk gear, reach tier 11. So that seems like a good compromise. In the meantime I keep a looked for tier 12 capable armor with the perks I want. Also, if you switch classes and armor a lot for PVE etc, it gets even more crazy to try to keep any kind of tiers. Generally I just worry about tier 11 on my PVP build, and for PVE I just worry about maxing int/disc which is pretty easy to do when switching around say various exotic helmets etc. I'm a bladedancer in PVP anyway, so strength isn't very important. It just reduces my blink strike cooldown, which to this day I'm embarrassed to admit I'm not even sure what the difference is between blink strike and regular melee is. Besides, Hunters have poor melee anyway compared to every other class, and further my long range-scout rifle oriented playstyle rarely involves me in melee battles. So yeah tier 11 is nice but more a mental thing.

You NEED to do King's Fall for the light, that's the pretty much guaranteed way to get 335 light once you're at like 330-334. Trials is eh, usually for good stat rolls. Saying no Kings fall pretty much says no high light, it's pretty much a necessity (coming from someone who doesn't have a clan, and plays King's Fall maybe around once a month).
Well figured out that the armor set I am using atm(which is favorite dead orbit armor) has 3 ways of getting tier 11. Can be 443 542 or 452 intellect discipline strength. Today went well
I have gotten to tier 12 on my Titans pve set up. Not really intentional. Just kind of happened that way. What is FAR MORE important is the perks. I would rather be a tier 10 with scout rifle loader gauntlets (as I always use scouts) sniper rifle ammo on my chest (as I always use snipers) and LMG ammo on my boots as I always use lmgs. At the end of the day having 30% more special and heavy weapon ammo and reloading your weapons 33% faster is going to have a FAR more positive effect on your abilities in game than having your melee cool down 4 seconds faster.
I had trouble finding good int/dis boots for my titan, that said, the dead orbit boots are a good roll, and mesh well with most armours with a solid color shader (old guard, god of war, ect.). I managed to put together an int/dis tier 12 titan because of them. :D
2:53 about that twist fate thing... it's not true. I got a pretty bad role on my hunter dead orbit cloak (88% I believe) and I ended up buy glass needles to try and change it, never went above nor below. So unless I am just really unlucky, it doesn't work. -ps for dead orbit hunters who get a bad cloak the one in the kiosk has 98% role when you get it all the way up to 335! (capable of tier 12) :D
Do not trust the DIM Ex. It is supposed to build a tier 12 for you if you have the parts. It built a tier 10 warlock. I messed around with all my parts and i was able to build a tier 12 Warlock even though the app showed i did not have the necessary pieces.
I'm tier 12 and perks are soooooo much more important. On my Hunter to get to tier 12 I would need to use gauntlets with side arm loader. I never use side arms. Knocking 4 seconds off my super recharge is not all that much compared to reducing my reload speed by 33% of buffing my reserve ammo by 33%.
I got fusion rifle ammo with auto rifle plus solar recovery on my chest piece and it's max stats so I'm not to worried about anything else because I tend to run with swords in my heavy slot :D
my main Gunslinger is at tier 11 with almost all my dream perks (just needs better chest) but all my characters now have angel of mercy and infusion on their helmets
I have a 317 Dredgen Yor's Rose that has 70 intellect and 42 discipline. Isn't that 1 above the max for artifacts? Total is 132 for my artifact when you said 131 is the max. Nice video man, keep up the good work :)

I lucked out, on my hunter I didn't really care for tier 12 was happy with tier 11 so looked for items that fit my play style and low and behold once I played around with the gear, I am 9pts away from having a tier 12 :'(
We need the ability to reroll armor. Weapons, I understand, that could result in some seriously OP players, if everyone could eventually get perfect rolls on every gun. Armor though, that's either useful or it's not. If I'm a Nightstalker that likes to use hand cannons, sniper rifles, and machine guns, a chest piece with shotgun ammo and arc armor is completely useless to me. Personally, I like to use different sets of armor for different builds. I make specific raid builds if I can, using raid armor, so on and so forth, but I also have standard sets depending on which subclass I'm using. For example, my PvE Nightstalker build uses the new Spektar armor, and my PvP gunslinger uses the Iron Companion armor. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for good pieces of these sets to drop for so long, but I only have a few pieces that are tuned to what I want from those builds. Why do we not have the ability to reroll them if they're such simple perks? It's so useful to have increased reload, or increased ammo, or a bit more armor for a subclass, and it's incredibly frustrating when you find a piece that isn't what you want to use. Not to mention the stat combination being random as well, and the stat roll carrying the possibility of rock bottom numbers even if you get the combo right.

Other than that, I do not spend too much time, I just look out for the perks ever since TTK came out because I knew this "Tier stat story" will be essential later on in the game. Doing a raid, getting items? I don't care how good it seems, I will always stick to exactly what I want, so I'd infuse up the gear into my current. Tier 12, as Datto said, is pretty difficult to obtain.
I don't find it difficult to attain I find infusing a item 2x usually brings about good results what I do what to know can you tell me about your 4-4-4 build on your warlock I can pretty much do tier 12 on all three character but never did a 4-4-4 would really appreciate the info I have gotten 5-4-3 before but couldn't get 4-4-4 just wondering what I'm missing to move the slot to the other sorry for the long msg

Meh, Tier 12 stats aren't important to me. I have the stats and perks that I want on my armor and my characters look great. I'm not going to have my characters looking fugly for a slightly quicker cool down.
I was able to get a Tier 11 build going without trying very hard. The effort for that extra 5 secs. on my melee cooldown is not worth it. Tier 10 or 11 is more than sufficient. I have yet to see a single Tier 12 player in game. Plenty of T10 and T11 though.
I don't see any point in this. I mean, it takes alot of grind and luck to get "perfect" roll. But what the point? When next update/dlc comes out, you'll want (or need) new gear! There's nothing to do in this game for now, so I don't think it worth it. In CoE, for example, you need max dis, int or str, not all of them at once. Just play it for fun

Never thought of it that way but tbh imo on MOST subclasses tier 5 strength isn't worth it and there's way better options in that slot.

Run the strike play list using 3 of coins on every strike. Exotics always drop 0-5 light levels above your current level. It levels you quite fast.

On a voidwalker build I got 4-5-3 build
for me its all about aesthetics. if stuff doesn't look good then it's pointless. This is just something to do if you are getting abit bored
Since light cap is 400 is a bit easier to get to t12. And quite easy for t11. Hopefully datto can make a update video :)

Sometimes infusion improves the rolls but not a lot.

I have a 317 Dredgen Yor's Rose that has 70 intellect and 42 discipline. Isn't that 1 above the max for artifacts? Total is 132 for my artifact when you said 131 is the max. Nice video man, keep up the good work :)

You should do warpreist using only telesto. But you can use other weapons for ads

I lucked out, on my hunter I didn't really care for tier 12 was happy with tier 11 so looked for items that fit my play style and low and behold once I played around with the gear, I am 9pts away from having a tier 12 :'(

We need the ability to reroll armor. Weapons, I understand, that could result in some seriously OP players, if everyone could eventually get perfect rolls on every gun. Armor though, that's either useful or it's not. If I'm a Nightstalker that likes to use hand cannons, sniper rifles, and machine guns, a chest piece with shotgun ammo and arc armor is completely useless to me. Personally, I like to use different sets of armor for different builds. I make specific raid builds if I can, using raid armor, so on and so forth, but I also have standard sets depending on which subclass I'm using. For example, my PvE Nightstalker build uses the new Spektar armor, and my PvP gunslinger uses the Iron Companion armor. I've been waiting and waiting and waiting for good pieces of these sets to drop for so long, but I only have a few pieces that are tuned to what I want from those builds. Why do we not have the ability to reroll them if they're such simple perks? It's so useful to have increased reload, or increased ammo, or a bit more armor for a subclass, and it's incredibly frustrating when you find a piece that isn't what you want to use. Not to mention the stat combination being random as well, and the stat roll carrying the possibility of rock bottom numbers even if you get the combo right.
I just run a tier 10 build. I don't need to rely too heavily on my abilities, guns are in the game for a reason :p

Most of my time spent in Destiny is when I am/ was afk in orbit. Other than that, I do not spend too much time, I just look out for the perks ever since TTK came out because I knew this "Tier stat story" will be essential later on in the game.
Doing a raid, getting items? I don't care how good it seems, I will always stick to exactly what I want, so I'd infuse up the gear into my current.
Tier 12, as Datto said, is pretty difficult to obtain.

I don't find it difficult to attain I find infusing a item 2x usually brings about good results what I do what to know can you tell me about your 4-4-4 build on your warlock I can pretty much do tier 12 on all three character but never did a 4-4-4 would really appreciate the info I have gotten 5-4-3 before but couldn't get 4-4-4 just wondering what I'm missing to move the slot to the other sorry for the long msg

Yeah, I've been trying to do this on my warlock, pretty sure I only need tier 12 gloves and helmet. Also, this gear set is gonna look atrocious, but it's nice to have
I don't care about stats, I just want good perks like increased MELEE attack speed, more sniper ammo, after hand cannon reloading speed... And I want intellect and disciple except on my nightstalker. And I only play striker, sunsinger and arc blade
I've gotten tier 4 intellect, tier 5 discipline, and tier 2 strength on my hunter.
Just thought I would say this was found within the first 4 days and I got to tier 12 on the 5th day at 331 light
Also it was so funny as no one believed me at first until they saw my profile

Ram for warlocks can get you 60 strength by itself that's how I got tier 12

I have the perfect build for PVP, mainly for Trials of Osiris nor Elimination. Btw, my character doesn't look shit. It has to look like a badass.
Meh, Tier 12 stats aren't important to me. I have the stats and perks that I want on my armor and my characters look great. I'm not going to have my characters looking fugly for a slightly quicker cool down.

I have tier 12 on all my charters( on hunter: 444,552,525,255) 354 on warlock and 552 on titan
I was able to get a Tier 11 build going without trying very hard. The effort for that extra 5 secs. on my melee cooldown is not worth it. Tier 10 or 11 is more than sufficient. I have yet to see a single Tier 12 player in game. Plenty of T10 and T11 though.

my dread explorer ghost has a 100% role on it with int disc and my raid chest piece on my warlock has a 99% role of int disc

DIM says my artifact is 141% hmm, well it does give me 107 Intellect lol
My ghost and class item are both 1 off of max and the rest of my gear is a the top of 'silver' class.

My 332 Warlock have enough points for Tier 12 but I just don't know which piece of armor to switch out to carry over 60 more points for Strength..
I don't see any point in this. I mean, it takes alot of grind and luck to get "perfect" roll. But what the point? When next update/dlc comes out, you'll want (or need) new gear! There's nothing to do in this game for now, so I don't think it worth it. In CoE, for example, you need max dis, int or str, not all of them at once. Just play it for fun
I feel like this video is for hardcore Destiny players lol but I'm happy with my T 10 characters. Plus what is the difference between tiers? Is that only for the cooldown of abilities or what?
