SGC Reveal from Strongsville - 20 card rundown

- This is my first ever submission to SGC. Overall, a great experience submitting at the Strongsville show. A couple surprising grades, but mostly good! Let me know what you think in the comments.
Wow the cards reallly look great in the SGC holders with seeing them all raw first! The pre war always does it seems but the 54 Ted and Clemente look sweet as well as you were saying. Both those cards have really grown on me a bunch and are on my radar. Nice win they didn't up charge on the Clemente too. Awesome set of cards there 🔥
Thank you, Joe! Yeah, after being on the fence on grading, between the ease of storage and visual gain from grading, I have no regrets. Once you jump back to post-war again, those are two you will enjoy for sure!
Wow, what an SGC reveal! These are some fantastic cards and ones that you don’t see every day. That retirado Musial is beautiful. Looks great in a tux.

Those are some serious cards and they look fantastic in the new slabs! Think you had a great return, my favorite is the West RC! After the Aaron RC the West is #2 on my want list!

Wow! That’s a who’s who of vintage greats. I have never seen the Cuban Ruth and I have been collecting a long time. I enjoy seeing your collection. Getting them graded is a good idea. They display nicely and will be easier to sell if you ever had to. You don’t know where life will take you. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you very much, friend. I appreciate that perspective. Definitely creates a more clear valee and confidence if needing to sell in the future. I will say that the display aspect is more of an upside than I even expected. Now, you will need to snag one of those Ruth's!

I’m looking to complete my 61 basketball set. That west is one of my missing cards. 😢
Having a tough time finding one that isn’t a fortune.

That's a good question on feelings a year from now. I will say I am surprised at how pleased I am right now with the decision. The plan is to submit 20 more cards next year again. Happy hunting on the West and finishing one heck of a significant set in basketball!

I had cards graded as well from the strongsville show. Do u think if I would have valued some cards higher and paid an upcharge that I would have received a higher grade? I was disappointed in a couple of them.
I would like to think not. I showed the SGC rep all the cards I brought. She said 3 of them would be over so no doubt they would be a higher price. I saved those because the fee is quite a bit more. Next year those will go in. I believe they would be happy to uncharge and all my grades seemed pretty spot on if not a slight bit of a bump up. Hopefully next time you see that boost too!
