    Best part about Sirius is their customer service. The best part of finding out about Sirius is Troy Fowler. Having this channel and Troy's willingness to help all of us is stunning to say the least. BTW, Evolution broadheads are on a blow out sale right now 3/15/24. Save 30 bucks on each 3 pack. I just saved 60 smackeroos! I've built arrows using the status quo components for 40 years. I'm liking heavy FOC. Just took me a minute to figure all this sh...stuff out.

    Ok, so Troy I did your tip to tip test, balanced, bare shaft tuned, fletched and nocked tuned. 550 grains which is the lighter end of your suggested. 3 deer later and I’m not scared of that shoulder anymore so I attacked it. All of them were heart shot the arrow blew through both shoulders and passed through they all died within 50yds of where I shot them I didn’t need a blood trail but they were brutal. All that said. All I can say is THANKS!!!!! I’m not going back. The deer literally didn’t even know what hit them. The ran for like 10 yds and walked away. Oh and they were between 20 to 30 yds. Awesome

    Works like a charm!! I can’t believe that my arrow flight was so bad with 340 grain bareshafts at 65lbs. 560 grain, high FOC arrows are zipping through Texas deer now (over 27” inches; quartering to me shotgun the last one). Keep up the good work, adios!

    Bought the Ranch Fairy Apollos (half dozen) late last summer. The shot great with 100, 125's and 150 heads. They did not like the 200's. I shoot 54 lbs with 28 3/4" carbon to carbon 300 spine. Total arrow weight is 544. I didn't get to drop the hammer as time was limited due to new hunting dog. Next year hopefully.

    I have been bow hunting on/off for 30+ years. My success rate was not very good. I decided to take Troy's advice and find the best shooting arrows for my bow. I started off w/ the RF SuperNova Test Kit and I was able to determine that the 350 spine and 150g field tip shot the best for my bow. Proceeded to buy the RF SuperNova EZ Button arrows and I was amazed at how much more consistent I could shoot with the right arrow setup. I then got the Tuff Head 3 Blade Evolution 150g broadheads. I see negligible differences shooting the 150g field tips and the 3 blade broadheads.....amazing!
    Thank you, Troy and Sirius Archery, for making me a much better archer and hunter. The right arrow setup for your bow makes all the differences in the world to improve your shooting.

    • @BarefootDave_
      @BarefootDave_ 2 роки тому +1

      I have your same specs. I put my carbon to carbon at 27.75” and use the AL post with SS sleeve. Both stiffens up the spine a lot to keep me at a 250 with 220 grains up front (tip plus insert) for 3D. I’m using the 250 with 320 up front for hunting and it was a pain to get them to tune. Not recommend!! Mimi should have gotten the 200 spine for hunting.
      If you keep your carbon to carbon at 29.5” and use the half out, you’ll probably be at the 200 spine. Feel free to reach out for more questions. I have built dozens now.

    • @RanchFairy

      You’ll be fine with the RF kit - 250/200 spine - standard inserts. Let the arrow and the right combination (often more than one) show you what it wants - it’s like handloading

I selected this embedded video and found the answers to all the questions I had about what we get and what the purpose of the test kit is. I want to order Tuffhead 300G single bevels, but the only thing they have in stock is GLUE on, not threaded. I am now PANICKED lol. Where can I find the parts, and assembly instructions for this? So far, I've heard you speak on inserts, half-outs, and epoxy, but I have zero idea on how to glue a broadhead on. Because I don't know the right way or the wrong, I'm leery about searching youtube and possibly learning the wrong way. Thanks RF!
