I do laser engraving and once you run the laser on it you need to coat it otherwise rust will start building up over time. Not saying it’s your fault Staccato should be aware of that.
it makes sense once the laser burns it, its bare steel. bare steel will require non stop maintenance to keep rust away.
Yep I've seen steel rust literally the day after a laser op was performed on it. Quite a few times actually.
I mean, it's also covered by Atlas that the coating these guys are using requires oil to be at its best. It soaks it up.
Rust? Positive spin: you now have a two-tone gun. Sweet.
My Staccato XC is exhibiting the same wear on the frame. Also, my DLC has slightly rubbed off on the hand safety in the grip. I have owned this firearm for less than 60 days with over 1000 rounds shot but less than 2500. I have been diligent on cleaning and lubricating.
Thanks for the video Mr. Stoeger!
Remoil boys…assemble!!!!
I need one.
I like staccato but people think they are buying skill when they get them. It’s cool you got one and tried it out for us to see. Thanks.
Not all people
Not buying skill, but buying a gun that lets you extract your skill with less effort. I’ll still shoot my glocks and sigs, but my staccato is just so easy to shoot fast
Nice guns don't make you a better shooter or even necessarily let you be a better shooter what they do is bring the barrier to performance down to a level that's easier to access with less training
I do find it funny the people I know that have bought a Staccato and only shoot a few times a year. Nothing wrong with it, but when I'm shooting over a thousand rounds a month through my Glock makes me laugh a bit. I really do believe some people think it will make them a better shooter without putting in the work, and we all know that's not the case.
Not a single person thinks they are buying skill. They are buying something cool.
my favorite pistol: soft shooting and low maintenance
I definitely want to see a video on the G19 after you've put mote rounds through it!
Metal will rust . That’s a fact . It can be prevented. That’s also a fact . Environments it’s in and stored in will determine how fast it will rust .. Ben doesn’t baby his stuff and he knows if he wiped it with oil after using the pistol it wouldn’t rust.. it’s a tool
My blued stock 1 tanfo will show rust spots after 2 days if i dont oil it after dry fire or handling. But it aint as pricey as a stacatto or tanfo stock 2. With my ultra sweaty and acidic hands, the finish on the regular czs does look inviting.
Look into maritime coatings for boats.
Recently had a couple friends who posted up one in a private server who was experiencing rust on their staccatos, from the chatter it appears to be a bit of a known issue, granted this was between the safety and the rest of the gun.
I’ve had my P since 2020, no rust. Guessing I’ve shot 80ish matches with it since then too, wonder if their process changed because this isn’t the first time I’ve heard about it but I haven’t experienced it at all.
How many times have you cleaned the gun up to this point of 7500 rounds? Also is there carbon build up at the front where the compensator is from all the heat and carbon of firining?
Do you order ammo every day ?
The Staccato finish has definitely left a lot to be desired. I have a P and it has developed a long streak of holster wear (Safariland level 3) that doesn't seem normal. I e-mailed them and they told me it's expected and nothing they'll do. However, then I got a voicemail from a warranty department guy. Can't seem to figure out why though. I called him back... no answer. A couple weeks go by, and nothing. Yet, I'm thinking maybe they'll fix it since it seems excessive and I am unhappy with it (and he did call for some reason, I figured), so I call and leave another message. Still no response. Their customer service can, it seems, leave a lot on the table at times. I was planning to get a CS, but am likely going with a Bul instead now.
You are complaining about nothing
just ordered a plate from your website, think they'll have her shipped by tomorrow. just a cz plate
Any word on when the P is arriving?
It's inbound per his Instagram
Steam punk. It give it a good "patina"
Put your hair in a ponytail. Change your name to Noel.
I wish the Hell they would QUIT with those stupid vanish holster ads- good Gosh people...
My staccato got that on the flag called them and they said I need to wipe it down every day, pretty lame
Glock and CZ would never!
@@seann2769 yup, had my g20 in alaska got rained on for a week straight and no rust
Welp… that’s totally crazy
Ben - you’re going to replace the grip because of the buildup of skin?
He said maybe eventually. That covers a lot of territory.
This is par for the course. I had a Staccato P that would rust horribly on the flag, grip safety, and thumb safety. I had to keep it visibly wet with oil and in a climate controlled plastic case or else it would be entirely covered with surface rust in about 72 hours. Staccato wouldn't fix it. Had to have it Nitrided to stop it from rusting. "Duty gun."
weird its getting rust. i have AR dust covers that get rust specifically on the laser etched stuff
What’s weird about it? The protective finish is gone when you laser it. You want a show gun or work gun
dont want rust on a gun, period. especially one that cost as much as a staccato.
@@HWG-wm8ld they SHOULD have it coated to prevent that.
Mustang content when?
Rusting from the tears of all the Staccato bois after you tried to bounce it like a basketball in the garage. Dang!
I’ll take a Glonk instead
Nice things suck right?
I’ve got both, and I love both. You don’t have to pick sides lol. Only poors pick sides.
But is it drop safe
I bet you think you're witty when you call an acro a mailbox, don't you?
He uses the words platform and variant to describe 1911s, AKs,ARs…
👍
I am sure your HiPoimt is.
