CECEntertainment has been struggling for years due to the fact they have been making certain bad calls while trying to compete against another invisible enemy. Free games on the App Stores that are gear to children and people especially our generation like to have either their food deliver via companies like Uber eats and Grub Hub or they want drive thru to pick up there meal. This is why certain business like Starbucks and McDonald's have gotten popular in the last 5 years. 3. For the last 20 years, CEC has been phasing out the animatronics for more live characters performance. Because they feel that future generations will be terrified of them and they cost too much to maintain. I would not be surprised if in the next 5 years, if they keep this trend of making poor decision making, that they will have to shuttered all of their doors.

It really does, and I almost feel it looks better than the modern incarnation, because it's not TRYING to look like a cartoon, but like an animatronic. I feel it looks very nice.
Thanks for bringing back my childhood memories. My parents used to take me to this very Chuck E. Cheese location when it first opened. I grew up down the street off of Blossom Hill Rd. and Kooser Rd. It stood next to the old Mervyn's Department Store in the old Princeton Plaza Mall. It was actually a really fun place at the time, not like today's Chuck E. Cheese restaurants which are nothing like the way this particular one was.
these animatronics are somehow a lot less jank than the new ones we got at the locations I grew up going to were!!! This is super fascinating and cool actually, these robot’s movements are really nice looking and they’re really not as uncanny as I thought they would be
I’m from the future; footage of the portrait animatronics from the original Winchester location has been found in 2019, including footage of Crusty the Cat!
Also original cec buy won't be able to be fix at thr moment the latex mold for chucky is rock hard so it will be impossible to break the mold and possibly destroy history

2:25 she said like hell I can lol, this is a real old gem I bet there is not too much footage of the origional chuck e cheese pizza time theater, heck the building is no longer there though it is well known by fans where it is, and all this was helped by nolan bushnell one of the guys from atari games of the usa, such a pionner in those days, that gave many kids the memories from growing up for two generations now, funny thing is showbiz actually was a research division for this company, and eventually the origional chuck e cheese I read on the web went belly up and were bought out by showbiz, and took the origional characters of the chuck e cheese francise, we used to have both in fort wayne indiana, I remember chuck e cheese was further east then showbiz, and was geared more toward little kids as opposed to the bigger arcade games at showbiz and so on, heck if I remember right they had computer termanals for some of the games when the first time I went there in the early 80's and supposedly I liked to try to get on stage and dance with the animatronics or try to heh.
The funny thing is that Munch replaced Crusty and it was thought the Crusty animatronic was trashed, ironically, Crusty, along with The Big C. are still around in a private collection, while the Munch Portrait Animatronic was likely destroyed

you see, the thing is.. these things look more lively AND realistic than today's animatronics. Helen doesn't have her oversized head, Big-C looks like a rat and he is an absolute gangleader, pasqually just is better, looks more like how he should. and Munch is actually thin and cooler in my opinion. its kinda sad to see that the animatronics are getting cheaper AND getting removed!
