Is it good? Well, no, it isn't; however the cheap price means that it is a great little system for kids and for anyone who just wants a quick blast at some old Sega games.
The console emulates Sega Genesis / Mega Drive games.
Please note that this video is a first impressions video review. When I test products I can either do everything live or test everything thoroughly first and then record a video.
There are pros and cons with each method. One of the benefits of recording my impressions the first time I view the item is that you get to hear exactly what I thought of the system when I opened it. It is difficult to recreate that after you have tested something which is why I enjoy doing videos like this sometimes.

I think it is important to temper your expectations with many of these handhelds as they aren't going to match what Nintendo offer.

+Striker Games Yeah the audio is fairly poor. For the price it's ok, but you could argue your money is better spent on an old Nintendo handheld.
I got this because the advertisement showed it being able to play all the Mario games and some other popular titles. Once it got here I opened the package, all the instructions were spelled wrong and most of the games weren’t even real plus there was like only ten games repeated 999,888 times
I still can't work out why they sold games like that. Most people are happy with 40-50 games and don't need it to be mis-sold as 999 games.

+MaxSpender As long as you have realistic expectations I think you will be happy. It's ok for a quick blast at some classic megadrive/genesis games.
Since mine arrived, I've developed a bit of an addiction for these cheap handhelds.
I got another one for £9.99 on ebay that plays NES games. It looks identical to the Mega Drive one, but only comes with one cartridge, so only about 100 NES games altogether.
I also got a Restrospex 32. Don't know if you've heard of this one. It cost just under £18.00 & comes with 4 GBA games pre-installed & an SD card with about 20 other GBA games, so you can delete some & put other GBA games on it, etc. Not bad.
I also got one from China, calling itself an X6. It looks like another PSP rip-off, but it's better build quality than these PXP3 things. It has a rubbish camera, voice recording etc, but it came with about 100 GBA games pre-installed & when I plugged it into my laptop to charge it & put more games on it, I noticed it seems to have quite a big hard drive. It also plays NES (nicely), Mega Drive (not bad), SNES (emulation speed a bit fast), Gameboy & GB Colour (good, but the screen is tiny & looks terrible in full screen mode). Nice big colourful screen & decent sound. Worth checking out.
+MaxSpender I wouldn't mind picking up some more ones myself to review. I like the idea of cheap handhelds too because you don't have to worry about looking after them.
It's hard to argue when something costs under £20.
I'll need to check out the Restrospex. Sounds pretty good. There's so many of these things coming out of China you don't know where to start!
As for the ones in China, I'd go for the cheapest one, since they're all pretty similar underneath. The one I got cost £22.69 with free postage. If you search on ebay for 4.3" handheld & scroll down till you find it. I chose a black one & it took about 3 weeks to arrive.
+MaxSpender Yeah there seems to be lots of variations of handhelds in China. Sometimes the differences are very subtle.
The Irish accent Love it, my friend, hoo boy where do we start, first off i would like to say the buttons of this console are clicky not chewey like a original psp console, make no mistake this is no psp console ! I brought this on ebay as well, then i brought another one for my sisters kids, my one got the x button sticking in, it still works but youve got to push the button in hard, ive noticed that these have got buttons damaging in early, you see youve got problems with your start button, another person had problems with their down button on this in another video, i watched other videos on this on here, any ways i brought them around the same time but i decided to give the children the better one, my one was working well as well but alas the x button stopped working propperly, its not just the x button though on mine one of the carts dont work on it, like you said its a good piece of crap but i have to strongly include its injust to a kid, see in our times we had stuff like the mega drive which had clicky buttons too and the snes but those things were very well manufactured, these things are poorly manufactured, the machine is still do able but still has a very chunky feel to it it is clanky and the plastic used on it feels like burnt plastic used on it, i used to think the music start up music of this console is good but its Attrocious ! You think your getting a good deal for your $15 dollars but in my case £10 pounds sterling but your not, in short its a lame console, its okay though, still you can get a much better console for twice as much and that is the psp 4.3 8gb 32gb console, i'll explain later but it has shoulder buttons and is a much better feeling console, with this console though the pxp3 they should have had a joy stick port built in because honestly those buttons are not trustable, yes all so whats up with all those repeated excess games, the biggest problem how ever with this console is no save slate state slot, if the console starts flashing and you plug the usb in it will restart making you start again, if it goes off you'll have to start again, the same thing with the reset button, the scenario is the same, it is a nifty console though if you buy one brand new or the one you have casn display them in a games console room or spare room, you can let people use this one too, now on to the other console it might not be perfect but performs better, the excess games that it has too can be changed using the pc, it has a camera on it to take photos, it has a video recorder on it too, on mine the video recorder does not work though, most important of all it has a save state too, i highly reccommend it, you can even use tf cards on it, it has better buttons too, back to the other console it is a good piece of shit, i liked your video review, hey there was no second off in this but still with my console i would like to open it up operate on it improve it up grade it the board is use full

The West got ripoff with that handheld, It's a good thing I only paid 10 bucks on eBay back in 2012ish era for that handheld , the AV out doesn't on an *American NTSC TV*
I suspect there's a workaround to that with an adapter. Not sure it would be worth your time though.
Back then, this was a cheap rip off retro gaming handheld. It deliver as expected, but the market is so much better now. We have a great selection of retro handhelds now.

It was discovered those "carts" are nothing but a single wire to send a signal to the main unit to access the additional games already in it. Open them up and see for yourself.

What do u mean? Can we play the same games without cartige? I have one and I thought mine was faulty and cartiges weren't working.
@@ummehusnain2796 You play one set of games when the cartridge is not in and a different set of games when the cartridge =is= in. But if you open up the cartridge you will see it is only a single wire making connection.
So, yes both games are already on the unit but to see the rest you need that cartridge to connect the single wire. Quite the cheat really.

For some reason on the main games, theres sonic 3d and sonic & knuckles, but you cant even play it because theres sliding text saying no way! Or no way?

Someone gave me a fake psvita wchich is great! It support gba/gbc/NES/SNES i highly recommend buying that its called the X9 GAMEPLAYER it is one of a perfect collection if u like classic games

My experience is : will NOT work with a CRT (I tried 2 different ones). Does work on LCD TVs and it's "acceptable" for what it is. I didn't think it was bad, but there are no options about screen size, filters, softening etc.
+Russell Flowers Suppose it's good it works with LCD screens. For a kid it's ok as long as you don't expect the world. It's certainly not for hardcore gamers though.
By "LCD", I meant modern flat panel televisions. I didn't check it on an LED though. These games are retro, so some might like playing them on retro screens, like back in the day.

It has very decent 16 bit roms that run rather smoothly no desync no slow or fast run or bad sound it has nice backlit big enough screen with lion rechargable battery that can hold charge more than few hours considering it's just 15$ shipped i think it's a no brainer for shitter entertaintment or a kid
For price/performance wise there's no Sega Genesis/Megadrive Emulator that can hold candle to PXP3 imo.
Alternatives ;
For 8 Bit Nes there is : "GB game boy Station" 15$ range (check it out its a beast i love it)
For 32 bit with SD Card support there is : "PMP V" 25$ range
I agree. I think people are expecting too much, the other consoles recommended arent cheap. Now is it the PSP or gameboy, no, but those consoles also you gotta pay a premium price and not only that, pay for each game.
With this you get about 200 games, I paid 16.89 (Free shipping). It's fantastic, I dont own a cell phone so when Im out or a long trip, yea I take this with me. Again it's 16.89 if something happens you can buy another. If you break your PSP or gameboy, youre out a lot more cash.
For the price I highly suggest it too. I like it so much Im looking into atm an NES hand held. Im gonna check your suggestion out because I agree with your comment. Ill def check out both, ty.

Sonic and Knuckles game doesnt play and on one of the carts, you get Double Dragon 2....and it's wonky. he keeps moving one direction no matter what you do, youre gonna die because it moves one direction on it's own.
Man, Sonic, Monopoly, MK, Streets of Rage 3, Ecco, Turtles Hyperstone Heist, Batman, Angry Birds, XMen, Tiny Toons, Tekken, Ristar, Sonic CD, Cannon Fodder (Which gives you PWs, that's good!)m Ghostbusters Sega game (One Angry Video Game Nerd did and was superior to the NES games, I wanted to play that one alone forever), Ghouls and Ghosts, hell even that awful Bible Games game! Strider, Sonic Spinball, Gunstar Heroes, Simpsons, Beauty and the Beast, Zool, Golden Axe, Battletoads, Battletoads & Double Dragon, Tetris, Columns, Blaster Master, Flicky, and many others.
If you've never owned a Sega its a nice collection for the price point. Again, PSP, gameboy etc are so dang expensive. This will keep you busy, Id suggest it. I think it's awesome.
A lot of these games I wanted to play, but as a kid I owned the NES/SNES, so I never did. Even now to buy a sega and all these games, it's gonna cost you. Here they are, for 17 bucks, and man, Hyperstone heist and Streets of Rage 3 alone is worth that price.
Kevin Muldoon. I'm sorry dude but this was a horrible review of this handheld. You didn't show all the games in detail. Also, you didn't see if the doubles were from a different console. You just chucked it up as the same game and probably wasn't. Your review just doesn't go enough into detail. Your talking only on the surface

Be careful saying "nearly 100dB" power doubles every 3dB so at 90dB this is roughly 1/8th of the loudness of something thats 100dB!

Got pxp3 slimstation it had a completely different games list compare to all the videos and the description it had where I bought it. It has non of the games I got it for, no mortal kombat, shinobi, sonic 3d, streets of rage, ecco, ghouls and ghosts or anything like that. Only familiar games it has it sonic 2 and golden axe 2 which is the crap one.

There's no games on the two carriages that came with it , I think there's only around 40 games on it all together the build quality is so poor if you look at the side you can see two bright lights inside it , piece of junk.

That's something I should have covered in the video. I should also have mentioned that the resolution is 480 x 240 pixels.
There were some games for the Genesis / Mega Drive that did save games to the cartridge, but I don't believe any of those games are available in the PXP3. Most of the games I tried are games that reset everything when you switch the system off. This was normal for many of the games at the time. For that generation it was mostly RPG games such as Phantasy Star that had an option to save the game .
This makes me believe that there is no save functionality available, but I cannot find anything online to confirm that putting another cartridge in would offer saving.
