Hell yeah, we've been waiting for this moment for a whole year. I still remember exactly how I felt after watching S04E21, and I have a similar yet opposite feelings today after watching the finale of season 5. To be honest, I had a low expectation before this, especially considering I had a nightmare about the finale last night (in which Steve had to see Catherine leave him again). I was so torn. Then I watched it, and everything was totally beyond my expectation. I just wanna say THANK YOU to Peter Lenkov and SORRY for doubting you. Thank you so much!!!!

I know it's not definite, but I am really crossing my fingers for much more McRollins in Season 6. I LOVE them together. Steve needs Cath.....and we need McRollins.....so I hope Peter Lenkov and the other producers, writers, etc. will give us what we want in this next season. ;)

When Steve saw Catherine in a lue dress as he wore a tuxedo for Adam & Kono's wedding,he should've asked her to marry him after she was away for months. If he did,he wouldn't lose her again later on.
Amen! I just started season 6 but I have read up on current episodes. Really hope Catherine comes back. I haven't gotten to the proposal part so I can't really comment on that. I think it would be a mistake form Steve and Catherine not to end up together.

Catherine McGarrett THANK YOUUUUUUUU hahahahaha. Thanks for your support. Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'm soooooo happy to know that FINALLY she's back. And the fact that the wedding hasn't finished leads me to the conclusion: Catherine will be in season 6 (if there is any season 6). Otherwise, we still know that McRoll are very much in love, right?

The final episode of season one was punctuated by the stare of Steve from the back seat of the patrol car, as he was being taken in for the (alleged) murder of the Governor ... it was followed by an incredible opener to season two, where 5-0 and the great Joe White helped him prove his innocence. STEVE is THE MAN ! Go 5-0 !!
Steve sure can't resist Catherine calling her sailor, though his rank is an officer in the Untied States Navy, though he transferred to the reserve to get the job as the chief of the Hawaii State Police.
Steve & Danny should've each been awarded the Medal of Valor after they dumped an explosive far from the shores of Pahu before it detonated.

like you all,i really love Cath and Steve together,and i felt very bad after she left the show and so Steve and waiting for her to return the show again.
and that happened, she came back and i watched season 5 finale several times; in the first time i was so emotional and thought they would have a very long talk about her operation and what would happen to their relationship but it did not happen.
but when i watched the other times i figured the writer left us in a big curiosity about them and i started to think they will not be together again because she really broke his heart and Steve did not give any answer when she asked him ''how long do you want me to stay''..
there is a msytery about her part in the show and i read the writer said that there is no certainity for her character again in all episodes of season 6 and he was working on her character about where its headed.
this show i mean without their relationship is a little bit boring.love is a great motive to watch it.and they went through a lot.
so now i am wondering when season 6 will start and i really really wanna see them together again.but forgiveness is a long process and i want Steve to forgive her about why she did not call and text him when she was trying to find and rescue Najib.
Beste Uysal There is no doubt in my mind that Steve and Catherine will get back together. Do you remember when Steve told Danny that he understood what Catherine was doing and he defended her all the time, even told Danny "I don't expect you to understand". I think that means a lot. That says a lot louder than anything else. And he also said that she didn't rip his heart out. Deep down inside, Steve understands and forgives Cath - that's all that matters. Even after a year of not seeing each other, when she came back, he didn't even question her... just gave her a hug - like an instinct - To me, it represents forgiveness (but I don't think Steve's mad at Cath or anything though). Besides, did you see how smitten Steve was throughout the whole episode? OMG that's the best thing ever.

i of course remember what he said to Danny but it was in the first times after she left and he was hoping and waiting for her to come home and to him very soon,after all that time he got used be and feel alone again i think..
i just remembered that Danny told him to come with someone to Kono's wedding and he said he was not ready to jump out for that..
he attended with Cath of course but i am not sure her position for him, i mean as his girlfriend or just an old friend from his past..
of course he was smitten when he saw her because he always found her beautiful and he really loved her,and her dress was really beautiful for him but i am again not sure about his real feelings for her now..
yes as you said deep down inside he forgives her for what she had done but she did not call or text him for a very long time (that was the part where his heart was broken,she did what she had to do and he supported her even he did not like but he always waited for just a call or a message that she was ok,saying she was missing him etc.) so i think he maybe started to forget her and give his full concentration to his work and friends.
i do not think giving a hug means something.because she have not been in the show for a year and also she was from his past and she was not his enemy so he could give a hug to her as an old friend.
i again remembered that he said to Danny that she did not rip his heart out and i believe that was a lie :) and i think he was also not sure about his feelings for her because of the importance of the case he was trying to solve so he did not have any real time to think about it.
Steve was trained as a Navy Seal and because he was a soldier and lost his father( also his mother made a fake death and he found out she was alive and she left again without answers and truth) he does not show all his feelings to anyone and to himself too.
at the end of final episode after he and Danny took care of the nuc he kissed Cath,that was a suprise for me (i was not expecting him to kiss her) and that gave me a hope for them to be together again.
i hope in the beginning of season 6 they will talk about all these and decide where their relationship is headed.i do not want him to lose her again,i love happy endings :) and want them to be together again and get married this time :)
Beste Uysal I wonder if you're really a McRoll fan... It's just confusing to me. Sorry, maybe I'm too protective when it comes to them. But for your information, Steve defended Catherine again in 525 - when he told Danny that "She went to help people in need. And I don't expect you to understand".
And if I were on Catherine's shoes, I wouldn't call or text him either. Telling him to move on was just her way to protect him, I guess. You have to think deeper than that. When you want to protect someone so much, you just want them to be happy even if that means their happiness doesn't necessary include you. She was out there, she didn't know if she could survive, let alone if she could return one day. It's better than telling him to wait for her, because it sounds selfish, and Catherine was definitely not selfish. She just did what she thought was the best for him (of course it hurt both of them immensely).
And yes - that's a liar. But what I meant was Steve defended Catherine all the time. He may be mad at her at some point, but he didn't want other ppl to be mad at her because they didn't understand her reasons. That happens when you love someone so much, and you don't want other ppl to think bad abt them. And personally I think Steve thought of Catherine all the time. If not, then Steve was such a bastard who I have absolutely zero respect for.
Yes, he doesn't show all his feelings, that's why ss5's Steve was such a bastard and I couldn't even bring myself to watch ss5. To me, Steve was dead after 421. Ss5's Steve wasn't the Steve I fell in love with in the first place.
Of course, I want the same thing for them.

but you are really really wrong about me because i love Cath and Steve together and always believed they have to be together for eternity, they are the best and perfect match for each other and i always waited him to propose her but he did not that's why i am so angry to him.
i always wanted to see more love (i do not mean sex,i mean feelings) between them.
you totally misunderstood me.
you are right again that Steve was dead after she left.i just wanted him to really show his feelings to her everytime like a human not a stone cold soldier,and that's all.
i want them to be together and i want the writer not to shake the boat like that again and stabilize her existence in the show as before and make them get married this time.
and i want Steve to be normal again,not be a such a bastard that meaans she has to return completely to the show.

i read somewhere (i do not remember now where ) that the writer wrote they do not know about her character is heading and still working on that,i am really pissed to the writer for this.

Beste Uysal Okay got it. But it's just one episode, she's just back for one episode and Peter Lenkov already gave us so many things to enjoy in 525. You just have to be patient. And he didn't answer her question or didn't propose to her - not because he didn't want to, but first of all, he had to make sure abt her plan first - what would happen if he proposed then she left again? And I wouldn't like it if he did everything in a rush - like answer "Forever" after the phone call and then that's it. Maybe Steve's planning to have a meaningful conversation with Cath to sort everything out. I prefer them to think carefully before having the final decision regarding their future instead of doing everything in a rush.
I'm sorry for earlier but you kept saying like they won't be together, Steve started forgetting her, Steve didn't answer her question bla bla bla... Of course, you can have your opinion, and I have every right to defend them, defend Steve & Catherine. There's no doubt in my mind that Steve didn't forget her, he forgave her immediately & their hug meant everything, and Catherine going to the wedding with Steve meant everything as well. If that didn't mean they're back together, then why did Cath and Steve have to cling into each other like that? Mind you, she fixed Steve's clothes two times. He even stopped and waited for her to fix his tux (which was so cute). If Cath is just a friend to Steve, he'll never do that (remember what he told Danny as Ellie - if he thought of Cath just as an old friend, he wouldn't kiss her, went to the wedding arm and arm with her...). I still couldn't understand why you could possibly think he started forgetting her or consider her as an old friend.

I liked season one a lot season two toward the end you could tell alex oloughlin lost weight and they said he looked sickly. I didn't think so. He did lose weight. But looked heathier when 3rd season came around.

I hate the whole Juno mess. 2nd and 3rd or 4th season. They brought on 3 different woman to see if they had chemistry with steve. Causing them to pretty much not give grace parks a storyline. Dumb. Jenna and other blonde were not interesting. Juno is so is Catherine. I like her a lot.
