  • Bichirs are a group of freshwater fish that are known for their ancient lineage and unique appearance. These fish are found in Africa, specifically in the Congo Basin and other river systems, and have been around for over 360 million years. They belong to the family Polypteridae and are considered one of the most primitive species of ray-finned fish in the world. Watch this video to learn more.
