I literally wanted to destroy Dimitri while playing GTA IV. Some antagonists like Haines and Sonny might be irritating sometimes, but whenever I hear Dimitri speaking to Nico I immediately got angry. The way he treats the Protagonist, his character and all of the things he causes he is best antagonist in the series imo

My head canon: Tenpenny and Carl had a grudge since CJs adolescent years. Like CJ was in juvie and Tenpenny was the man responsible for arresting CJ the first time. The fact that Tenpenny has been a corrupt cop since CJs teenage years. It’s apparent that he’s been expanding influence in not just Los Santos but in parts of San Andreas. Crash is a state wide anti gang unit. Handling urban problems across the major cities of San Andreas and Tenpenny was only the Los Santos branch crash officer. And his corruption was so influential that it gave crash a bad name and caused the LS riots and possibly its disbandment after. Maybe the officers who were involved with Tenpennys inner circle face arrest as well as suspensions and terminations. That maybe the former crash officers would help to create a new gang in Los santos later. The professionals. They called it.
My list #5 Catalina - Betrayed her boyfriend like he was nothing and killed many innocent people. Also was batshit crazy #4 Martinez - Cared nothing about rules and set up Vic for his own skin, despite him being a civilian, and showed no concern for his motives and had a hand in a huge gang war with the Mendez brothers that caused Louise's death. #3 Sonny - Betrayed his best friend and ruined his life. Also Sonny did claim he pulled some strings, and judging by Tommy not denying it, its probably true. Also, had no qualms about drug dealing and other crimes, as well as manipulating Tommy's best friend Lance into betraying him. Lance's death and betrayal only hardened Tommy more, and may have fractured his friendship with Ken. #2 Dimitri - Consistently manipulative and stopped at nothing to claw to power. Showed no care for others. Tried hurting Roman just because he was Niko's relative. Had his best friend killed without supposed remorse. #1 Tenpenny - Tenpenny is the worst of the bunch. If Ray Bulgarin was on the list, he'd be my pick. Tenpenny abused his power, was a manipulative, vile, rapist, piece of evil shit. He betrayed the system. He almost destroyed Los Santos because of his crimes. He has hurt the people he swore to protect while projecting himself as a crime fighter. He's a hypocrite and GTA's most evil antagonist. Sure Dimitri, Sonny and Catalina killed more people. But Tenpenny probably caused more. Tenpenny never gave a damn. At least Catalina was somewhat attached to Carl, Sonny seemed to have a bit of respect and genuine friendship with Tommy back in the day, and Dimitri was smart enough to hide his real personality, and Martinez was at least honest with what he has done and admitted it was to save his own ass. Tenpenny's best quality is how charismatic of a villian he is. But other than that, there is nothing but evil.
@@closethockeyfan5284 I consider the DLCs their own games because they’re well written. and unique. Plus most of the antagonists apart from Ray Boccino and Ray Bulgarin have no connection to Niko. It makes the game unique. They overall feel like the Stories games but shorter.
About Catalina, don't forget that she also took complete control of the Columbian Cartel, tried to push SPANK (A parody of crack) into Liberty with the help of the Yardies, and just like Dimitri, betrayed, and later killed Miguel, her own partner, for her own power. Still not as bad as Tenpenny or Dimitri, but she was a hell of a skank.
Dimitri. He was a true monster, that didn’t care who got in his way. He would kill or have anyone killed just as long as he’s a head. He’s probably the most soulless antagonist in the GTA world so far.

I couldn't wait to shoot that nigga Tenpenny after only making my way through approximately 10% of the game. Years later, I've already beat the game and I STILL want to kill Tenpenny, AGAIN. Samuel L. Jackson sho' know how to get on somebody last nerve. LOL.

At least Catalina was only behind the death of other gang leaders like Asuka. That and pushing Spank. Sonny arguably wasn't that bad, the only really evil thing he did in the storyline was attack Earnest Kelly. All he wanted was his money back.
Tenpenny, in his own weird ways, was trying to get streets under control, which was quoted in one of his final monologues "Fifty of me - and this town would be okay. I took the trsh out..." Basically, his model of ruling the streets was similar to world leaders like USA/USSR ruling over third world countries in XX century - you put up a puppet dicktator/leader in front and have control over situation. Same thing with Ballas, Smoke and crack - it's way easier to control a gang which leaders are under your influence and the biggest drug lord in town is your puppet. And reporters who used to invest into his dark things were a big obstacle for his ruling hand. So nah, Tenpenny's actions actually have logic behind them. Unlike Martinez, who turns Vic's life upside down out of boredom. Or Dimitri, who backstabs everyone who he's working with. Sonny's actions have sense in them - being envy/seeing someone who would eventually become more popular around made men. Catalina is just one crazy bitch who doesn't know what she wants. So it's either Martinez, Dimitri or this bank-robbing cheetah.
Sonny was bad. He tried to have Tommy killed back in 71 via the Harwood incident due to jelousy. He didn't help him when he got tried. After he got released and sent to vice city, he insulted Tommy and never appreciated for saving Giogino's ass for fraud.
Tenpenny hates CJ because he hates what Sweet and GSF have done, or rather haven’t done, for his drug racket. Smoke and Ryder fell in line. All the other gangs in town fell in line. Sweet was the only problem and caused the same for his gang. So when CJ shows up, someone he can manipulate and talk to regularly, he takes it all out on him. Carl is Frank’s only in on the real grove street and he wants him to know exactly how he feels about it.

While he’s not a main villain, I’m putting forward a new nomination: Marty Jay Williams. There is nothing redeeming about this hick who beats his wife and apparently his infant daughter, and whose business is centered on protecting and pimping. Maybe the most satisfying GTA kill thus far.

My pick: Kenny Lee from Chinatown Wars. He kills his brother, tries to have his nephew killed, and when that fails, uses Huang to purge the Triads of anyone who’s a threat to his absolute power.
The most hated GTA antagonist in my opinion in HD universe is Dimitri Rascalov, since he will do anything, and betray anyone to that stands in his way. For the 3D univers it's going to be Catalina. Frank Tenpenny did a lot of bad things but it's not on the same level as Catarina. This antagonist has been abused by her foster father in her childhood which has destroyed her mentally, so she has no problems shooting anyone, abusing verbally/physically her partners, viewing men as inferior/weaker to her, taking pleasure in hurting others, and will whatever it takes to kill her enemies (sending out the drug addicts as suicide bombers to destroy just one guy is pure evil).
Devin Weston was more punchable man than those antagonist. He might not be a stone heart killer but using money to protect hikself and using others without dirtying his hands probably most fakked up than Tenpenny and Dimitri.
The GTA IV footage has some mod which alters the colour and completely fucks up the gritty atmosphere that makes the game so great. I don't understand why people think it looks good 🤮🤮🤮

It's easy for me to name the most hated antagonist of all, since, imho, there can be nobody worse than a corrupt servant of the law; so, of all bad guys mentioned in this video, the worst one is Frank Tenpenny. As of Dimitri Rascalov, as evil as he is, at least, he isn't a cop; so, the worst one still is Tenpenny.
Its 50/50 between Tenpenny and Dimitri for me. I lean towards dimitri only for the simple reason that Dimitri understands what he is and doesnt think he is doing something good. Tenpenny is an absolutely horrible scumbag but he has kind of deluded himself into believing that his sadism and psychopathy is justified because he is what the city needs. Dimitri is ONLY out for himself, nothing else. He is kind of like Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat in that sense. tempenny from GTA SA is the most crafty and dangerous villain. Cj couldn't beat him without toreno's help. But Dimitri from GTA IV is the most hatable.
I probably would say Dimitri and Billy Grey were the worst antagonists in GTA because how evil Dimitri is plus Billy Grey technically killed Johnny also by martyr as in since Johnny killed Billy at the end of the lost and damned, Johnny fell into a depression with the loss of Billy and Jim and Billy’s betrayal which led to Johnny having a out-of-control meth addiction also because of Ashley’s influence on him as well, which was what weakened Johnny for Trevor to kill him
I mean all the villains there are somewhat despicable, but still have something compelling (even as annoying as Catalina is). However, Martinez is just an a**hole for the purpose of being one and there’s nothing compelling about him. Straight up ruined a soldier’s life for no reason and still provoked him and tried to make him kill afterwards.
The thing about Sonny is... Tommy wasn't much better. Sonny betrayed Tommy in Harwood yes, but Tommy didn't actually have any evidence for this at the start of Vice City. He took it upon himself to poorly (and suspiciously) communicate to Sonny regarding the stolen cocaine/money and then kept all of his new cash that he was making for himself, when by rights Sonny should have had a substantial cut. Sonny had legit grievances against Tommy regardless of whatever else happened in the past.
Dunno man. Sonny was the only person who could've set Tommy up. Yeah Tommy wasn't a good person but he was loyal. Sonny on the other hand was a scumbag who got rid of anyone he deemed useless. That being said do you really think Sonny was gonna let Tommy stay in charge of vice city? The plan was to let him establish himself and then go take what he built.
On a personal level for the protagonist, that is definitely Dimitri. His sociopathic pursue of making Niko's life miserable is unmatched by anyone. Carl is just a tool for Tenpenny, like everyone else, though he does make life worse for much greater number of people, so he is more hateable for the player.
It's not just Niko who Dimitri betrays, little Jacob got it right in the deal ending. Dimitri will betray everyone he can, even including Mikhail Faustin, who was his best friend. I hate Dimitri the most out of all antagonists.
Also Lance is responsible for the tragedies in Vic's life, always messing up, the Forbes and Mendez debacles and Louis's death, if Lance didn't mess up Vic could have had a happy life with Louis.
Unrelated to the topic of this vid, I've just been playing GTA 3 and noticed tanner's car is incredibly resilient when you take it, it's amazing Edit: apparently if you park it in your garage and save, it loses its sturdiness

They really fucked up with that mod for GTA IV. Making everything look so bright and colorful. Especially in regards to the story line… it’s perfect the way it is, all dark n grimey
Would probably say Dimitri as he's a constant thorn in your side but I didn't really enjoy GTA IV as much as i did SA so it's probably SA purely because it's my favourite game and it has Samuel L Jackson voice acting. He often switches from someone who is trying to help Carl to someone who absolutely will shoot him or his brother if he doesn't cooperate. I also enjoy the deteriorating mental state as he gets really edgy towards the end.

With Tenpenny you knew where you stood right away with him but Dimitri betrayed his own close friend and Nico at the same time unexpectedly. So Dimitri was the worst antagonist in GTA so far.
The worst in the franchise is 2K or Take Two or whatever. If they do not either fix the remastered or give us GTA 4, I'm never buying another one of their games (or unless they are at least 40 to 80% off on a sale)😅
I would say Dmitri, he's the most ruthless on how he fooled and manipulated Niko when he want Faustin out of the picture. And for the worst on he sent a hitman to kill Niko only Roman to be killed. But also Lance as well, he's way too selfish and all he can think is to avenge his brother but the responsible for the setup was never found and worst that it turns out that he works for Sonny to betray Tommy in the end.
For me is tenpenny and dimitri. Dimitiri betrayed Niko twice if you choose deal ending then that happened and burned down Romans apartment and cab business and ten penny he made cj go through a lot and made cj do his work.

Bulgarin is most definitely a candidate worth examining. I get why they stuck to the main antagonist from each game, but that argument can be made.

My pick: Kenny Lee from Chinatown Wars. He kills his brother, tries to have his nephew killed, and when that fails, uses Huang to purge the Triads of anyone who’s a threat to his absolute power.
The most hated GTA antagonist in my opinion in HD universe is Dimitri Rascalov, since he will do anything, and betray anyone to that stands in his way.
For the 3D univers it's going to be Catalina. Frank Tenpenny did a lot of bad things but it's not on the same level as Catarina. This antagonist has been abused by her foster father in her childhood which has destroyed her mentally, so she has no problems shooting anyone, abusing verbally/physically her partners, viewing men as inferior/weaker to her, taking pleasure in hurting others, and will whatever it takes to kill her enemies (sending out the drug addicts as suicide bombers to destroy just one guy is pure evil).

Devin Weston was more punchable man than those antagonist. He might not be a stone heart killer but using money to protect hikself and using others without dirtying his hands probably most fakked up than Tenpenny and Dimitri.
I don't think this channel's people even played GTA 5 sadly.

The GTA IV footage has some mod which alters the colour and completely fucks up the gritty atmosphere that makes the game so great. I don't understand why people think it looks good 🤮🤮🤮

@@IMNTV No it doesn't. San Andreas has filters which give the game a different atmosphere. This one just looked bad and bland, like a GTA clone with no sense of artistic direction.
This is just what it looks like if you turn saturation all the way up. No mod needed to make it look this bad.

It's easy for me to name the most hated antagonist of all, since, imho, there can be nobody worse than a corrupt servant of the law; so, of all bad guys mentioned in this video, the worst one is Frank Tenpenny.
As of Dimitri Rascalov, as evil as he is, at least, he isn't a cop; so, the worst one still is Tenpenny.
I'd go with Tenpenny, his actions led to complete anarchy in Los Santos as people rioted against the injustice of him escaping punishment.
Its 50/50 between Tenpenny and Dimitri for me.
I lean towards dimitri only for the simple reason that Dimitri understands what he is and doesnt think he is doing something good.
Tenpenny is an absolutely horrible scumbag but he has kind of deluded himself into believing that his sadism and psychopathy is justified because he is what the city needs.
Dimitri is ONLY out for himself, nothing else. He is kind of like Shang Tsung from Mortal Kombat in that sense.
Shang is an equally but Id say an even more evil bastard than Dimitri, but they share the same emptiness.
Its like the only motivation they have is power and sadism.

tempenny from GTA SA is the most crafty and dangerous villain. Cj couldn't beat him without toreno's help. But Dimitri from GTA IV is the most hatable.

I probably would say Dimitri and Billy Grey were the worst antagonists in GTA because how evil Dimitri is plus Billy Grey technically killed Johnny also by martyr as in since Johnny killed Billy at the end of the lost and damned, Johnny fell into a depression with the loss of Billy and Jim and Billy’s betrayal which led to Johnny having a out-of-control meth addiction also because of Ashley’s influence on him as well, which was what weakened Johnny for Trevor to kill him

In san andreas, the character i hated the most is sweet. I’d rather clip him than tenpenny.
I mean all the villains there are somewhat despicable, but still have something compelling (even as annoying as Catalina is). However, Martinez is just an a**hole for the purpose of being one and there’s nothing compelling about him. Straight up ruined a soldier’s life for no reason and still provoked him and tried to make him kill afterwards.
The thing about Sonny is... Tommy wasn't much better. Sonny betrayed Tommy in Harwood yes, but Tommy didn't actually have any evidence for this at the start of Vice City. He took it upon himself to poorly (and suspiciously) communicate to Sonny regarding the stolen cocaine/money and then kept all of his new cash that he was making for himself, when by rights Sonny should have had a substantial cut. Sonny had legit grievances against Tommy regardless of whatever else happened in the past.
Dunno man. Sonny was the only person who could've set Tommy up. Yeah Tommy wasn't a good person but he was loyal. Sonny on the other hand was a scumbag who got rid of anyone he deemed useless. That being said do you really think Sonny was gonna let Tommy stay in charge of vice city? The plan was to let him establish himself and then go take what he built.
Vic Vance deserved better
I agree with Dimitri. Pretty sure he is only baddie whos downfall wasnt greed, but just being evil little brick.
On a personal level for the protagonist, that is definitely Dimitri. His sociopathic pursue of making Niko's life miserable is unmatched by anyone. Carl is just a tool for Tenpenny, like everyone else, though he does make life worse for much greater number of people, so he is more hateable for the player.
Dimitri's personality is psychoparh not sociopath.

It's not just Niko who Dimitri betrays, little Jacob got it right in the deal ending. Dimitri will betray everyone he can, even including Mikhail Faustin, who was his best friend. I hate Dimitri the most out of all antagonists.

Lance's betrayal was worse than the Sonny Forelli's Plot against Tommy Vercetti.
Also Lance is responsible for the tragedies in Vic's life, always messing up, the Forbes and Mendez debacles and Louis's death, if Lance didn't mess up Vic could have had a happy life with Louis.
and in VC Tommy saved Lance's life, Lance wasn't even thankful, after killing Diaz Tommy worked hard to build his assets while Lance sat there lazy!

Dimitri is by far the worst person in the who gta franchise. He betrays every person he ever met, including his former bestie friend/boss. Even if Niko tries to make amends and do business with Dimitri at the end, Dimitri still goes after Niko and his family

Would probably say Dimitri as he's a constant thorn in your side but I didn't really enjoy GTA IV as much as i did SA so it's probably SA purely because it's my favourite game and it has Samuel L Jackson voice acting. He often switches from someone who is trying to help Carl to someone who absolutely will shoot him or his brother if he doesn't cooperate. I also enjoy the deteriorating mental state as he gets really edgy towards the end.

Dimitri is a rat disguised as a sheep when Nico meets him for the first time. Tenpenny is scum and he knows it and doesnt hide it. With Tenpenny you knew where you stood right away with him but Dimitri betrayed his own close friend and Nico at the same time unexpectedly. So Dimitri was the worst antagonist in GTA so far.

Of all GTA's I've played, I always thought Dimitri was the biggest, vilest, slimiest traitorous backstabbing snake of all.
I would say Dmitri, he's the most ruthless on how he fooled and manipulated Niko when he want Faustin out of the picture.
And for the worst on he sent a hitman to kill Niko only Roman to be killed.
But also Lance as well, he's way too selfish and all he can think is to avenge his brother but the responsible for the setup was never found and worst that it turns out that he works for Sonny to betray Tommy in the end.
My dislike for Sweet from San Andreas runs deep! I dislike him more than Tenpenney
