Want to learn how to fit Pfingstegg into your Swiss itinerary? We've done it for you! Check it out at aplinsinthealps.com/guides/3-day-guide-to-grindelwald-switzerland/
I really appreciate your videos guys. I have searched and watched multiple channels and videos for Swiss travel and i’ve gotta say your channel is the best. Your professional straight to the point videos filled with informative useful facts for every situation is very much appreciated and makes me want to watch all of your other videos. I also love your enthusiasm and love for switzerland. I also appreciate how you always address all the questions anyone may have and that eliminates the need to go search for the answer somewhere else. It’s litterally the one stop shop for swiss fans and travelers. Keep up the great work guys!
Wow, you are so encouraging! Thank you for your kind words and for sharing what you value most about our videos. We're also glad you can tell how much we love Switzerland :) Thank you for your support and for using our resources to plan your trip. Have a great time here!!
Woww thank lovely you remembered me my last day, in Switzerland last year. I didn't go on flyer as i was scared but my son 4 years old went on his own and he loved it. Love ur videos
That's awesome that your son went on this and loved it! We have 9 nieces/nephews so we always create videos that are kid-friendly. Thanks for watching and supporting us! :)
@Aplins in the Alps we hope, and we pray we can come this year as well. It's just that it has gone hard financially. If we do come how can we meet you up?
Traveling to Switzerland on October 10th for a week! Trying to watch all your videos to maximize our trip and plan ahead so we don't go to closed rides & etc! Learned a lot from it! Thank you!
We visited the Pfingstegg zip line mid May 23 after watching this video, many thanks, a very relaxing unique experience, you never mentioned that they serve great apple pie in the restaurant up there! :-)
You guys are awesome, amazing and wonderful. I have watched all your videos. Thanks for every information in detail. I will be travelling to Switzerland for 15 days starting from 5th June along with my wife and 6.5 year old daughter. We hope to meet you all. Love from India.....❤
Thank you so much! We're so glad our videos have been helpful! If you haven't already, join our email list so you can find out when we plan a few meet-and-greet times to meet our subscribers, like you!
Yay! We’d love for your family to come visit sometime. It’s so kid (and teen) friendly here 😊 And we know this couple who’d be happy to show you around 😉 Grateful for your friendship and mentorship, Matt and Cheryl!
Great video guys! We are going back to Grindelwald in September and we watch your videos to get psyched up. It's a shame you didn't walk up to Bäregg, you really feel like you are in the mountains. It's well worth the walk.
Love that you are coming back to this area again! We planned to walk up to Bäregg but we ran out of time because it takes a while to film a video. So, next time!! 😊
We had a great time up here today but were surprised to find out that the Unlimited Jungfrau Summer pass doesn’t include the cable car up to Pfingstegg while the Bernese Oberland pass does.
I think my boys enjoyed Pfinstegg the most when we went (probably because of the toboggan run! ) - we loved it too! At the time, they were building the fly line so we must go on that next time :) I wonder if there’s a toboggan run with better views? (The one at Oeschinensee?)
Thank you! Great video as usual! Yes, we subscribe LOL We'll be there in June for almost a month in the Switzerland portion of our trip. We would love to see a video on what to wear depending on the month/ season. Looking back at last years temperatures looks like Wengen and that area can be 59 in the morning and up to 91 in the afternoon. Just for a video idea. We're still struggling with what to pack. And for me especially, I'm a minimalist, love a small suitcase.
Thanks so much for subscribing! A whole month in Switzerland sounds like an amazing trip! As far as clothing, we always recommend layers. As you've discovered, it can be quite chilly in the morning and then warm in the afternoons. Wearing layers lets you put on a take off throughout the day depending on temperatures. We've created a video on what to pack and while we don't give clothing advice for month-to-month, we do give some ideas about layering. You may or may not have seen the video but I'll leave the link here just incase you want to watch it:) We hope you have an amazing trip. Happy packing! ua-cam.com/video/2j1Yw_P9nPk/v-deo.html
Hi Jana and Brett! I purchased your digital bundle and it's fantastic! Thank you! I'm so glad to learn about this amazing family-friendly place. It definitely sounds like a great alternative for the Grindelwald First adventure activities; however, I would still love to experience the Grindelwald First Cliff Walk. In which order would you recommend, to avoid long lines? Cliff walk then head over to Pfingstedd? Or the other way around? Also, can 7 year olds ride the flyline by themselves?
So happy our bundle is helpful to you!! We would definitely say go to Grindelwald First first (haha, First first), then come down and head up to Pfingstegg. Thankfully children 4+ can ride the flyline by themselves!
Love all your vedios you guys are Amazing, some of the vedio I watched it too many times that i know it now word by word 😂,question do you have any vedios for Zermatt?
I have been looking for Grindelwald videos for all information before my trip and I should highlight how you guys manage to share all of it while also being precise and engaging. Love your videos. Just 1 quick question on this one - Is Pfingstegg Toboggan Run & Flyline activities covered under any of the travel passes (Jungfrau/BO) or are they discounted with the Half Fare Pass? Thank You!
Hey. Thanks for the video. My wife and I are going to Grindelwald in August with our 3 kids. Do you feel we could do everything by using buses or should we rent a car? 3 kids are between 9 and 11
Awesome content! By the way, Is there any difference between Berner Oberland pass first class and second class? I dont mind paying if there is an actula value in it
Great question! We don't think there's much difference, especially if you'll mostly be sticking to the Jungfrau Region. But if you'll travel between Interlaken and Bern/Thun or Luzern with the pass, you might enjoy the nicer seating, which mostly comes down to more space and less people. Otherwise, many of the trains/lifts in the Jungfrau Region don't even have separate classes.
As a Swiss I‘d totally confirm Aplins reply - the quality of public transport in our country is really good and I personally prefer second class because it‘s less expensive. 😊
@@AplinsintheAlps Sorry, sorry. I wrongly input my comments here. The comments are supposed to be for a video regarding Brienz before playing yours. Too excited in watching the latest videos of Switzerland, because we will be arriving on this Sunday to have our 4 weeks holiday in this beautiful country.
I’m planning my trip to Switzerland. Many times you guys talk so fast and it’s hard to follow. I replayed your video a few times and still confuse how to get from Grindelwald to Pfingstegg.
There's a cable car from Grindelwald to Pfingstegg, or you can search the route on the SBB app! (Tip: You can change the settings on a video to slow it down to 75% speed!)
Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback. We strive to create the most helpful and detailed Swiss travel information on UA-cam. Would you mind sharing how we could have specifically improved the problem? Thanks so much!

So glad you enjoyed the zip line! And I didn't know about the apple pie. I'll have to try that next time Thanks for the recommendation!
So glad one of the mountain coasters is right there in Grindewald! Was wanting to do one but didn’t know where one was in the area. I’m very happy!!!

So excited to hear the cable car is free with the Berber overland pass!!
Just came back from grindelwald. Planning my trip back to it in my head already. 😊
That's exactly what happened to us!! Hope you make it back soon!
We're going to switzerland and I'm using your videos as guides. Thank you so much!!

Oeschinensee does have nice views!
Thank you, very informative.
We're so glad! Thanks for taking the time to comment and let us know :)
I did this this past summer. Well, the hike anyway. The glacier gorge is worth it as well.
The glacier gorge is definitely worth it!

Hi there, thanks for your encouragement! Unfortunately the passes don't provide a discount on the activities.
Thanks for this video! Are you allowed to film with phones on the toboggan? If not, do they allow go pros?
We used a GoPro! But most places like this require you to be hands-free to ride safely. So some sort of mount would be helpful for sure.
I'll consider this place as well when I'm in Switzerland!! Is it possible to hike to Pfinstegg from the start of the cable car as well ?
You sure can! It's more direct and therefore steeper than the hike we did, but posted at just 1 hour, 11 minutes
Hey. Thanks for the video. My wife and I are going to Grindelwald in August with our 3 kids. Do you feel we could do everything by using buses or should we rent a car? 3 kids are between 9 and 11
Hi Douglas, definitely no need to rent a car. The transportation is incredible!
We had so much fun there with our two boys!! Be safe, I just saw they are evacuating Brienz due to rock slide risk? :(
So glad you enjoyed it! This is another Brienz (in the eastern part of CH) where the rockslide risk is...but still, a terrible situation :(
Ah yes, the worldfamous Grillage of Vindelwald...🤣🤣🤣
Beautiful Place, as is the Rest of the Berner Oberland Region as well!
We agree.....it's beautiful!
Nice video 👌👌👌
Thank you so much 😀
May I know how to buy the cable car tickets under half fare card prices?
Hi there! You just go into the cable car station and show them your half fare card when you buy your tickets. As simple as that!

It’s open mid-May to mid-October.
