Stansted drop off charges - rip off

- Stansted Airport in Essex , seems to increase car parking charges so often that it is becoming a complete RIP OFF , they must have a team thinking of how they can constantly rob people who fly from their airport , when will the government or someone in authority take action ?
The evil Btards are charging £7 now, and £25 after 15mins, I refused at the barrier, they let me out, and I’m not being robbed by these thieves
Gatwick North terminal long stay car park 2 hours free.. you can re-enter as many times for free! Stansted long stay car park is free 1 hour.. No Return!! Absolutely Filthy Racket.. Try stopping on surrounding roads (owned by Stansted) £100 fine!!
2021 Now £10 for 30 mins in pickup carpark. How the f can they justify this?

I don't use Stansted Airport for that reason, Airport like Gatwick or Heathrow, you can just drop someone off free of charge. These people running this scam should look at themselves in the mirror
It's not free at Gatwick or Heathrow. I remember I went to pick up a friend from Heathrow and I almost missed the sign. You have to pay online, when you stop at any pick up off drop off zone, otherwise you will get a ticket
There is a link on Facebook asking people to boycott duty free or buy nothing inside the airport till the charges are dropped
Good idea that. I certainly won't be buying anything, in fact they will be lucky to even get my business in the first place. Gatwick or City for me from now on, although I've also heard that Southend is another good option.

Barstards knocked me for £25 yesterday. I has in half a mind to make a bomb phone call to get my money's worth.
I have only ever used Stansted once and that was recently, To be honest I will not select it again when heading to Europe, the fee's are simply absurd and from memory I did not see anything stating you was entering a "Pay zone" and luckily the person dropping us off had cash to pay the exit charge. I have since used Southend and that was a totally different experience and I would happily always fly from there all be it with a slightly longer journey time. I think most will just look at the blatant "RIP OFF Britain approach" that Stansted take with this scheme as just a p1ss take. I know a lot of people that have boycotted the place and there has been some national news stories about the fee's of late. In a majority of the world they could not get away with such things yet we are just expected to pay up and shut up... Regards
If you are dropping off a disabled passenger who takes more than 10 minutes to get themselves and their luggage out of a car, then assuming they have a blue badge (which ofcourse they won't if they are visiting from outside the UK), you will only need to pay the £3.50 charge:
Express Set Down
Blue Badge spaces are located at the front of Express Set Down, nearest the terminal. Vehicles cannot be left unattended in this area, and the price is £3.50 for ten minutes. If you require longer than 10 minutes to be dropped off or picked up, please use the help point to notify a member of staff and they will arrange for you to exit for the minimum charge of £3.50. A ticketless entry system is in operation and payment is made on exit.

Well now its £7 charge for drop off and ohh my good if you used mcdonalds parking or starbucks they can fine you £100 as well

...27th Dec2017, the walkways were ungritted and car parks full. Managed to charge me £30 for dropping my disabled mother off though.

Go to Mid Stay if you are picking someone up. Shuttle Bus to the terminal and 1 hour free
It’s £5 now and a£1 a minute after Ten minuets...They have also closed the mind stay car park drop off ..So you have got to go the terminal and drop off and pay the £5...Easy money...
And no free parking for the motorbikes either... Just go to the Mid Stay with your bike... Probably never gonna use them again...
If you remember they stopped you parking because of Terrorism and then they said but if you pay a £ you could pull up... I said at the time that this was stupid because if you dis have a rocket launcher it was ok if you paid a £ to get in! I paid £4 today fucking disgusting

I got charged a fiver last night. What an absolute disgrace ! They should be ashamed of themselves. They deserve the cowboy award!
