Do you think he left the sport just in time or too soon?🤔

Enjoyed the video! Out of respect for the sport, please learn to pronounce the riders names correctly as well as the names of the jerseys.

@@Tmutombohaha. I think it’s pretty evident from my content that I respect and love the sport of cycling. Thank you for taking the time to watch and comment.

Same, man. Great rider and he seems like he’s a really genuine guy as well.

Class rider. Deserved more success but had his share of bad luck. Don’t think he had the team support that others had but still was fighting and battling. Absolutely one of the all time greats. Mentoring kids to get on their bikes. My hero of modern cycling. I Wish him all the best.

since i was a kid i have dreamed to see another dutchman win a grand tour, so it made me extremely happy when he won the Giro. specially cuz of the year before that when Kruiswijk lost his Giro in the worst way possible. the tour de france he almost won was also very special, i really think he could have won that with a bit more luck. i think the nail that hit his coffin was the year he crashed out of the Giro, cuz since then it started to go downhill, with only a few one day races (TTs) where he still could be his best. wonder what would have happened if he had not crashed out of that Giro and didnt have such a long road of recovery where he started to doubt if it all was still worth it.
i hope i dont have to wait as long as before Dumoulin to see another dutch grand tour winner, tho we do have MvdP doing great things nowadays, but no potential grand tour winner in the near future.

Agreed, I think he was fully capable of winning the Tour De France. Bouncing back from the injuries he had must’ve been physically and mentally exhausting.

Enjoyed that, thank you for the content! 🎉 In the end, if Tom says this is what makes him happy then it was a good time to go. If you’ve been one of the best and you can’t be anymore, that must be hard to take. Will never be able to fully appreciate this, as have never been one of the best (or even close) 😂

I haven’t been close to being the best either 😂

Chris Horner has a video out about how Coca Cola can upset a cyclist’s system when drunk on an empty stomach. He uses some race footage of a cyclist stripping down to poop and it’s poor ol’ Tom 😅😂 God love him!!

Haha when you gotta go you gotta go! I like Chris’s content. I actually met him in San Diego at a random coffee shop. Really nice guy!

Amstel Gold Race definitely does not take place in the heart of the Netherlands, completely the opposite in facts
