nobody i know is at all interested in hikes like this, i am so desperate to experience something like this again, even if its another local hike in gower or breacon
i wish i was that organized, having a friend tagging along makes it more safe and company is always good, maybe one day i will venture alone, but not far
You're limiting yourself massively by not having the confidence to go on your own. More often than not, the best photos are taken on your own as you can go at your own pace, take your time and go where you want.
i don't do photography, though i would paint, i'm pretty good at painting, photographing does sound handy for taking pics and painting them at home, but i just want to camp and hike, enjoy the outdoors, found this channel from ta outdoors, love both channels
Much as I love photography, sometimes you just want to sit there and soak up the scene in front of you. That view brings a lump to your throat. Absolutley stunning, as someone once said.
I'd say I've watch 80% of your videos, and I don't think I've watched one as inspiring, 'stunning', and jealousy inducing as this one. Everything from the challenging hike, idyllic conditions and the social aspect at the end! Thanks and keep doing what you're doing!
Great group can tell they had beautiful images and pizza in the end. Then there's the Chicken, whole chicken, never know whats in there. The images speak for themselves. Sounds like you made friends and cheerful photographers. Fantastic
Some of your best photographs here Thomas. All the more rewarding following the long hike I bet. Great stuff. This spot is now on my list of photo destinations!
That was simply stunning as you lime to say. You were really lucky that the weather cooperated and gave you such amazing conditions. Being in such high altitudes there are no guarantees that you will show up there after such a long hike and get beautiful light, no wind and not be surrounded by clouds hiding everything. As you said such things rarely happen. Consider yourselves blessed!
You had the absolute perfect conditions up on that mountain. Couldn't have asked for better. Fantastic shots once again, as usual. I wish I had mountains closer by (14hr drive).
Superb video Thomas! I got back from a week camping in the Lake District this morning, but seeing this video makes me want to plan a trip to the Alps already! Both the panoramic and the close up shot are gorgeous!
The ND shot is amazing, inspired! What I also liked was the social aspect at the end, really captured the feel of the group event. Be great to see more posts that include this.
I woulda bivied on the edge of that lake to take some night shots of stars and reflections on the water... Awesome as usual Thomas! Bryan from Vancouver
Thomas your channel has delivered so many wonderous sights and amazing images and it always been a question, how do beat something that is truly beautiful. Your declaration about capturing your best image ever now makes that a question more pertinent but somehow I know there is still more to come from you and look forward to your future journeys.
@@ThomasHeatonPhoto Why did you jump the gun, at the time it was (probably still is), in your opinion, your best ever image, there is nothing wrong with that statement at all. If next week, next month, next year, you take an image which in your opinion is better then you will have a new best ever image. Great video with some stunning pictures as a result of the hard work you put in to your photography.
I like how Thomas knew what he's going to get with that last image, so he planted the 'Absolutely stunning' there, just so it can then be placed perfectly in the culmination of the video, right at the end of the 2/3rds mark, almost to a second. That's good sense of form right there. Love all the images, and the last one almost looks like a Chinese ink wash painting, quite a catch.
I'm leaving for work right now but I gave you a thumbs up I will have to wash this later on when I'm at home judging from your content and you photography it's always beautiful and the serenity is magical
WOT!!! No "bye for now..." whatever, the ending was different at least. Love the way you guys knocked it off once more with the conditions. Superb content once again Mr H.
Its not often you can walk up to a composition like that. Breath taking! Your image looks pin sharp, how do you get that without focus stacking? Oh, and I noticed the little sign on the far right was too much of a distraction to keep. I wonder who else noticed that... 6:38 here
The first image is brilliant. The second image too but would it have been more dramatic with a simple exposure that captured the natural state of the clouds?
nobody i know is at all interested in hikes like this, i am so desperate to experience something like this again, even if its another local hike in gower or breacon
just go alone then, its worth it every time

@@HarryBradbury that's absolutely true and you won't end up copying other people's ideas either=your creativity is challenged more

I gave my girlfriend a helicopter ride over the night sky of Chicago for our anniversary, she got me a Thomas Heaton print... I got the better gift.
She's definitely a keeper! Happy Anniversary.
You gifted her some of your absolutly limited time. I would call it a draw. :D
You're a kind person. Thank you.
She actually got herself a Thomas Heaton print, just told you it was for you lolololol
The photo of the mountain peak is the most beautiful photo of a mountain I have ever seen. Thank you for sharing your experience and expertise!
Much as I love photography, sometimes you just want to sit there and soak up the scene in front of you. That view brings a lump to your throat. Absolutley stunning, as someone once said.
The opening lines were like poem. Absolutely stunning ❤️
Had to watch this one twice to take it all in… Beyond amazing!
Thomas, by far my favorite video of yours. Absolutely gorgeous setting. A dream location for sure.
I'd say I've watch 80% of your videos, and I don't think I've watched one as inspiring, 'stunning', and jealousy inducing as this one. Everything from the challenging hike, idyllic conditions and the social aspect at the end! Thanks and keep doing what you're doing!
Thanks a lot👍 happy to hear you enjoyed it.
My dream job ! Every time I watch your videos I am very excited and want to be like you . You are the source of my motivation

Came back here for a second viewing and some location ideas for the summer. The conditions look unreal, otherworldly!
you can't go wrong with such a location
You had the absolute perfect conditions up on that mountain. Couldn't have asked for better. Fantastic shots once again, as usual. I wish I had mountains closer by (14hr drive).
Thomas I always enjoy looking at your work, great stuff.
That hike would probably kill me but I would do it in a heartbeat just to experience that view and hopefully get an image to bring home.
What a day you had. Great video. Thank you a lot.
Such beautiful scenery ! Stunning.
i like how this video ended.. Lots of energy and happiness.. #absolutelystunning
What a stunning image of Les Dru!
Would you do a video on how you choose how to pack your gear and/or what pack to bring on multi-day "hut" trips vs day trips vs wild camping trips?
Anyone else click this just for the title? #absolutelystunning
What a lovely comment, thanks for making me smile =)
Tom ought to make shirts with that slogan...or has he already??
I made the title just for you, Greg.
Thanks Thomas, you made my wife very happy! She always complains that you rarely use your signature catchphrase anymore. ;-)
Bloody good guess on that 2 minute exposure. Wow!
Stunning shot. Easily my favourite image of yours from the last 12 months.
I mean what a wonderful pictures. I love it.
Superb video Thomas! I got back from a week camping in the Lake District this morning, but seeing this video makes me want to plan a trip to the Alps already!
Both the panoramic and the close up shot are gorgeous!
The hike is half the fun, even if you don't get a photo for a reward. Great video and even better images!
Truly magnificent image, superb conditions for you all, a strenuous hike well worth the effort.
2nd image is one of the best landscape work I have ever seen. Great shot

The ND shot is amazing, inspired! What I also liked was the social aspect at the end, really captured the feel of the group event. Be great to see more posts that include this.
Thanks a lot. I always make new friends on these trips.
Great video Thomas, I loved it.
I sincerely hope that you never stop doing these workshops, Thomas. I'm hoping to sign up for one, once I'm 100 pounds lighter and married.
You continuously impress me. You inspire and motivate all of us. Your photography is #absolutelystunning.

T.H. I like the deliberate commercial bit at end of video: listen u gotta business and so make it professional, great work old man!
Beautiful location beautiful capture doesn’t get any better than that. Thanks for sharing
and thank YOU for watching
That one would be a stuning print, I love the reflections on the lake and the colors. It's odd not to see the square crop
