My biggest problem with this mode is that you only get 3 of 27 options to start with, and you'd have to start a run and concede to refresh it. Mid mode I can understand, but starting out? Really wish you could just pick a class and then pick a shrine to make the "Beat all 27 shrines" run less frustrating when starting out... plus in all the runs ive done with all the options ive been given, haven't once gotten warlock shrines. Edit: took 3 days after this post but I finally got one to appear.

my run was with the froze a minion get a 0 mana 1 damage spell totem at the end it get to a close match were maligos was in the bord empty hand and my froze card never came until I was with 4 hp and the boss as well
When the text says “when you cast a spell”, it means that it only applies to the moment the card was dragged out of your hand and played. Any other subsequent casts performed by other minions don’t count as you casting a spell, so no: the paladin shrine shouldn’t be able to infinite loop with the djinni. the only problem i see with the two cards about casting a spell on "another" card is the fact if it worked like that you would have an inf loop going cause the spell could cast on another minion back and forth

It's just because the spell doesn't target the shrine or the djinni (AOE buff) If you target the minion with a "target" spell, it will work In MTG, it's a basic interaction. You can see it with Akroan Crusader, you need to cast a spell that target him to get his effect. A "All minion" wouldn't trigger.

Hi Toast, could you test this: If you have that hunter shrine up, you equip a snake trap and enemy attacks into it. If the shrine buffs your snake a taunt and you don't have other taunt minions, will the enemy minion attack the snake that got taunt or the minion it was attacking in the first place? Thank youuu! Then we have the action of the card which is to cast a copy of it onto itself; This is why it doesn't bounce back because the spell is being cast by the card. It wouldn't have mattered which of the two was buffed the result would be the same. If there was a third minion and a spell was cast on it then both the shrine and djinn would have it cast on them as well. I think the reason the djinn has another in it is that it's the card casting the spell and so it would be able to buff itself without it. However, I would agree that the shrine is not a minion. It cannot be removed from the field or destroyed in any way. It's more in line with the portal from the warlock quest, but because it has damage and health values you can cast spells that affect those values. I suppose what they really mean by minion for spells is, "Unit that is targetable." Whereas minion is a subclass of that along with shrines, but where these are edge cases and work fairly intuitively it's not worth going back and rewording everything in the rest of the game for a static dungeon run.

Other shrine interactions are treated as 'minions' including the divine shield one from Paladin. It's just incorrectly worded, nothing more or less. You can even get copies of the shrine using spells like seance.
To be fair, I'm with you Toast it's awful wording. They should just buff each other endlessly based on wording alone and any spell you cast on the shrine alone should be duplicated. However, there's a case to be made for how the coding for the shrines work. Coming from a Magic the Gathering background those two would just endlessly ping each other buffs. You are casting the copy of it by wording instead of "playing a copy".

Your missing the "you" on your shrine.. The genie is casting the copy not you.. So it wont re apply it again.. If it did it would of been a never ending combo also
Hey Disguised Toast :) i have a idea of a wild otk deck, not a new one just a remake of grimpatron-lock thats sadly capped by i mean 24 dmg total im not sure) :) since the new expansion it has a new card for warlock for 7 mana (Blood Troll Sapper) that deals two damage when a friendly minion dies. i dont know how much dmg i could get from this. when you're interested then check it out would be cool to see. I love your otk decks, its fun to try it out at myselfe :D

If the end turn button turns green, it means there's no more actions he can take that turn. If he summons a beast and it turns green, then he knows the beast didn't get rush because if it did the button would stay yellow.
Lucky you it didn't affect the run when your PC crashed. Stupid Blizzard did it to me months ago and I've stopped playing ever since. The last opponent was just a bot, no need to end the run when crashed.
Blizzard doesn't care what the cards *says*, whatever it does is what it's meant to do and how similar or not the wording is to other cards is irrelevant.
Shrines can be Cube'd. It's basically free win most of the time if you get Cube.

TechnoPriest For me, the 3rd shrine is always the one you just lost to in your last run.
First shrine is the one you played Last Run,second is randomly, third is the enemys shrine you lost to. Winning gives 3 random shrines.

The shrines are treated as minions that go dormant whe silenced, stolen, bounced or killed. Other than that they act like regular 0 cost minions.
