About this item
THE ORIGINAL - There’s a reason you see this trap everywhere: it’s the original, and it works! There are roughly a dozen species of stinging yellow jackets throughout North America, and this trap is designed to lure them all.
HIGHLY EFFECTIVE - Lured in by our specially formulated attractant, yellowjackets fly in through the holes in the bottom of the trap, continue upward through the interior cone, and become trapped. Once inside, they die from dehydration-no killing agent required.
NON-TOXIC - Unlike potentially harmful sprays, this trap relies on a non-toxic mode of action to eliminate yellowjackets. Its durable plastic construction is built to withstand many seasons of use. Attractant refills are available.
SMARTER PEST CONTROL - Our Reusable Yellowjacket Trap is specially designed to attract and kill yellowjackets, not beneficial honeybees. The included attractant lasts for weeks without daily maintenance.
MADE IN THE USA - At RESCUE!, our goal is to design, manufacture, and market the safest and most effective pest control solutions available for homeowners. We are proud to manufacture our products in the USA!

I have 3 going up tomorrow. 👍
Now they have 8 holes in the bottom and a clear tube of attractant that hangs from the inside that you just pop open.
Supposed to get hornets as well. I think its awesome that honey bees aren't attracted . 👍
Day 2
Nothing. But I don't see any around so maybe these are being proactive instead of reactive.
I prefer getting them before they build nests. 👍
Actually I caught a bunch with my rescue yellowjacket traps. I just simply used the 10 week baits that (sold separately) are made for the trap I bought at home depot . I also depends on the location where you hang the trap. For a while I also didnt trap many but this time I caught quite a few yellowjackets . You also have to really make sure there are no live yellowjackets in the trap before you empty it out
Just put out 3 of these not 45 minutes ago. Already one of them has 3, another has 4, and the third one has more than I can count (located nearest a hummingbird feeder they were after). I'd say they're effective.
We have a few yellow jackets around one of our plants on our outdoor deck in a densely populated urban environment. It's enough yellow jackets to be worrisome, so I purchased one of these traps and hung it nearby. No trapped yellow jackets so far, I'll report back if and when the trap works. Nice video, thanks for posting.
Thanks for the compliment. If the trap doesn’t look like it’s getting a lot of yellow jackets try putting a small amount of water in the bottom of the trap to help activate the pheromones. Sometimes it dries out a bit.
@@checkitout2468 Thanks, Do you mean, put water in the little cup with the cotton ball?
@@brettkramer yes, just a half tablespoon of water or so on the cotton ball. sometimes I think it dries out.
@@checkitout2468 Thank you, I will give that a try !
Same here I thought I set it up wrong cause I don’t have a single one in mine.
Note when starting with a new trap, you don't have to undo the cone from the cylinder, you just bait the bottom and screw on. It's only later, when emptying for reuse, that you undo the cone by using the tabs.
The trap comes with the bait-packet and an instruction sheet INSIDE the cone. You have to remove it.
Mine hasn’t caught one yet..
I've have hundreds of yellow jackets around. I baited and set the trap and it didn't attract or catch even one. 😒
Four days and only caught 4 yellow jacket in the 3 traps I put out. I think the bait is ineffective.
Around the 6 minute mark, what is the trap that seems to work? I have two hives. Our bug guy sprayed powder. Worked for a few days but then the Yellow jackets returned. Our dogs are afraid to go outside.
I have them linked in the description.
@@checkitout2468 Thank you. Bought a trap today. How long did it take for you to see results? Got stung today. Now it's war. If the trap doen't work, I will flood the hive and run. Great learning video.
Quickly. Day one you should see 20 to 50 in the trap if you have that many around your house…
I have four of these that I set up each season. Sounds like you have a lot. You might consider setting up a few more traps.
Didn’t work for me
Don't buy the new 2 chamber reusable whyrescue trap because yellowjackets can escape from the trap!
Why are you reading off the instructions if you know what to do...let's skip this nonsense..and show us...🤦🏽♂️
be kind
He is going over the written instructions and showing it visually it what it says.
The instructions aren’t that clear about the cotton placement and location so watching this video was helpful.
