A very good idea. We don't seem to have a lot of trouble with yellow jackets here (unless some body cuts a melon) until the dry part of September. I know a lot of people don't use tobacco but you can wet tobacco and put it on a sting and it will take the pain and poison out of it. Thanks for showing how to make the trap,
Exactly. It works great
What an innovative idea Mike. I’m building one or two this afternoon. Those yellow jacket stings can not only be painful to us, but they can pop your dogs to. Thanks for sharing. - Tennessee Smoky
COOL SMOKY
you should,ve made a video explaining step by step, piece by piece assembly. Still your video not clear to me
Great idea to move the entrance of the trap on the side! On the down side, this trap will also trap honey bees.
Wonderful! The yellow jackets sting lasts for days on me. Now I know how to thin down that possibility, and to remember to poultice some plantain on it asap. Thanks Mike.
You are so welcome!

With that big Gatorade opening how they won't be able to get back out... I don't get it.
Buck 110! Awesome video! Thanks I will be making some!
Have fun!
Good tip Mike , thanks for sharing , God bless !
your welcome michael
Yikes! I hope Mrs Reed is feeling better. Dang yellow jackets can be a real nuisance!
thanks Chris
Hi Mike. Good job we don't have gait or aid because we don't have yellow jackets. Great idea with the plantain. ATB and stay safe. Greetings from. Spain. Nigel
What kind of tape do you use and can you use chrome tape?
Hey Mike, it looks like there's no concern the entrance is too large? It looks like you simply left the cap off, rather than worry about a small drill bit to drill through the pop lid?
I love the side entrance idea...Hehe, absolutely ingenious! Thanks for sharing.
Good point!
They are an aggravation
yep they sure are Michael thanks buddy
absolutely wonderful ideal using the milk jug! I have done it with just the Gatorade bottle cut the top off turn it upside down stick it down in it. but like you said when it rains it fills up with water start all over again the way you do it is better than the way I did it thank you Mike very much
That's a great idea!
Yellow jackets are nasty. I got chased across my front lawn by them and stung 3 times. Oh man did it hurt. I ended up pouring gasoline down there hole at night. That took care of it. Thanks for the video Mike. God bless.
oh yes jack there nasty critters
Good thinking on putting the funnel on the side instead of the top, that’s some mountain man ingenuity if I’ve seen it!
thanks Eric
