    I like doing a 30% 50% 75% then 100% TPS technique, also useful in finding boost issues. Just doing a car now with perfect boost control at 75% TPS but walks away over 6000rpm at 100% TPS....those new Garrett G series have some serious flow up top!!

      My car is like this. Perfect control at 75% throttle (13psi) but spirals to 16+ at full throttle. What’s your fix?

      @@Izaza433 It really depends on the cause for something like this. It could be either a mechanical wastegate issue, i.e. too small, or bad wastegate priority. Or if this is happening only once raising boost via boost control, it could be an issue in your tuning parameters. If your on closed loop it may be that your gains are not set right, or if your open loop, it may be that your just using too much duty cycle.
      There is quite a lot that can go on, lets say your on open loop and say 30% duty cycle works great for sub full throttle or lower RPM. You may running into an issue where the 30% actually isn't enough to hold your target of say 13PSI.
      Because either your engine can't provide enough exhaust flow at a low RPM, or the throttle is limiting the amount of flow in the engine and therefore what reaches the turbo.
      So in this situation 30% is just too much duty cycle, and so you need to lower it until full throttle your hitting your ideal boost.
      With closed loop it could be a variety of factors.
      A good start would be disconnect your boost controller, and test with just your wastegate. If you have say a 10PSI spring, does it overboost over 10PSI once you start reaching redline, does it hold at 10PSI well when doing a ramp run/pull. If with wastegate only it behaves as expected, then you can try bringing back in the boost control but start at lower duty cycle numbers and go from there.
      If it doesn't hold a consistent boost pressure with just the wastegate then you know you have a wastegate issue.
      Hope this helps!

    hi andre what about setting up a electronic wastegate on a turbo car

    Would plumbing boost solenoid 90degree-T from straigth flow(boostpipe to wastegate) differ in boost control versus making boost line straight in a T to soleinoid and wastegate beeing 90 degree? Or it doesnt change anything?

    Hp academy, please 🙏 i need your advice, I bought 19t turbo and also upgraded the turbine wheels to 9 blades from 15t compressor wheel. The boost pressure is awesome almost no lag at all but am having random misfire when I pull hard. Am afraid 😨... am enjoying the turbo upgrade but am afraid.
    What should I do please
    15t => 19t compressor wheel
    11=> 9 wheels turbine.
    The boost pressure is awesome but am afraid. No ecu tunes yet.

      Are you logging any data during your runs? If not, that is where you need to start. The next step is going over it to help you find the cause - Taz.

    Hi Andre can you make a video about using a parallel ECU or some sort of device to control boost on an ECU that doesn't support the same type of boost control. e.g. I have a factory ECU that supports a supercharger but I want to use a turbo instead, but I don't want to use a standalone(lose CAN compatability with the rest of the car). Can it be done?
