    I've retained so much length ever since I decided to dry detangle my hair with the best tool ever, my fingers, 3 years ago. I'm at tailbone length now & can't wait to see how long my hair is gonna grow🥳. Thank you for always educating us on how to care for our hair🥰. Sending love to you from Ghana🇬🇭

    This video is pure GOLD. The amount of information and time that you put into this video is just amazing. I wish I had found you in the beginning of my journey, but I'm glad I found you when I did. No more dry hair. I recycle my parts thanks to you. I finger detangle now because of you and The Fairy Fro Mother. I have learned so much from you by watching your videos. You and The Fairy Fro Mother both align with what my goals and aspirations for my hair are.
    Any new natural -- and my sister is one and I'll be sharing this video with her -- should absolutely see this video. This is the cheat sheet we ALL needed years ago.
    Thank you for giving this to us. May you continue to be blessed for giving like you do. Peace and blessings ❤

    I also liked how you mentioned patience because I used to do my hair so fast and a little rough…in the last four months, wow, what a difference. I have been so patient and focused to be absolutely gentle! ❤❤❤

    The 3 months of protective styling on and off is freaking genius!!!!🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾 I’m seeing a really good amount of growth and I’m retaining length. I’ve been keeping my hair moisturised as well and it’s been 11 months post big chop and I’m making good progress.

    Great video - especially for beginners. I started in January to follow you and a couple other ladies and have learned a lot from you all and learned a lot about my hair and what it likes. I’m still figuring things out though, especially with the summer months fast approaching.
    This video is at a good time for me since I am still towards the beginning of my journey, especially that I just cut off about 8 inches a couple of weeks ago (damage from hair dye last year- never again).

    Awesome video! Very detailed. ❤ Was doing my hair while I watching this. One thing I noticed my wash day is that my tangles and shedding were out of control. 😢 I knew I was due for a trim plus I'm coming from wearing a protective style for 3 weeks. I notice this doesn't happen when i go from straight back to curly. So I think for the warmer months I'm going to pre-poo with Aloe Vera again prior to shampooing. Length retension has been consistent. Keeping up with trims. I keep my hair stretched to the max 24/7.

    Great video!!
    Im currently experimenting with my hair. Health, length, manageability ,etc. I supposed i would be considered a twisted natural. I have found myself going over board with the products normally because i would forget if i already had a product. For example. I thought i ran out of leave in condition, so i bought another one, didnt need it. If I have a duplicate i just make sure i use it all before grabbing anything new. Other times ill get something just to try it. My family says that my hair has gotten thicker in the past 2 years so im narrowing down my products to see what my staples will be. Its fun sometimes but i keep my OG stuff on hand if something seems off to me.

    I enjoyed this video, today's my wash day so will be taking extra gentle care. I saw an old video of you using chebe do you not use it anymore? I want to try the hair grease as I wouldn't cope well with the powder, my strands need strengthening. Also I think I may try African threading, I watched Mrs Charity Umar and they way hers was done looked pretty and elegant. Hope you and your family have a good day.

    Am actually confused 🤔...my hair soaks liquid and products fast and drys within some hours. That means am high porosity right?
    Am actually not getting the length i should have looking at the years i have been natural. I took the porosity test this morning after washing my hair ( in twist) and for the past two hours, my hair is still sitting on top of the water (even though some stands sinked a little). What does that even mean please.

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  2 місяці тому

      the porosity isint accurate. type 4 hair is usually high porosity. I have done many videos on why o think most of us are high porosity based on the characteristics of our hair backed by research

    Pls I've watched your videos on finger detangling but Im currently TWA and I really don't know how to go about it, I cant even section because I have like 2-3 inches.
    Any help or I need to get to a certain length before I can start finger detangling

    • @CoilyDiaries
      @CoilyDiaries  9 місяців тому +1

      Shorter hair is even easier sis, don’t stress. Sectioning might be hard if it’s too short. Start by picking it with your hands then running your fingers through portion by portion
