- "One who every hour prepares himself to give answers for his own sins will not quickly lift up his head to examine the mistakes of others.”
(St. Gennadius of Constantinople)
It's easy to point our finger at someone else's mistakes, rather than focus on our own. Why?
We'll explore the Parable of the Unmerciful Servant and the two big things that make it easy to judge others.
As a special bonus, we've prepared a FREE downloadable workbook to help you focus on your sins, not others.

God bless you, too! I hope you're enjoying the new episodes.
@@stevenchristoforou1667 yes steve. I follow your content from Ethiopia. It is amazing how our Orthodox church is truly one through teachings and scripture interpretation.
Praise the Lord, for he is good, For his mercy is eternal
Thank you. I needed that message. God bless you.
God bless you! God is good, I'm glad this came at a good time for you.
the discussion of forgiveness and especially that parable always makes me think of the actions of Abba Moses who when called to judge a fellow monk at first refused to go then took a bag of sand with a small hole in it to represent his own sins following him as he went to sit in judgement, thus providing a lesson in humility and forgiveness to the whole brotherhood. The story always reminds me not to judge as I tend to remember images better than words.
Yes, what a powerful lesson!
Beautiful episode mate. God bless you.
Glory to God, thank you! By your prayers!
So that’s how you love your enemy.
Amen!

Can you please pray for me? I'm really interested in becoming Orthodox but I have no way of getting to a church (as most of my family do not drive and I have to watch my aunt's son while she works due to covid and her work hours conflict with the closest churches I could find) plus I'm afraid of going alone as my family is protestant (with the exception of my aunt who is agnostic/spiritual idk) and they wouldn't support me. I really need prayers please
God bless you! Look for a community near you, and visit their website. You should find a link for their live-stream of services. You can always watch online, even if you can't visit just yet.
