Yes we do all have something new to learn every day is a school day is one of my boss's favourite phrases and in my current job very apt, if only I could remember stuff like I could when I was younger and didn't have ME. I think maybe this was the day we had the red warning and I stayed home because it was just too dangerous to ride into work. A good way to spend a windy day and I believe those panels look better than the factory fresh CL175 panel I have boxed up in my garage. Go well sir Rob.
Good job with the notes on the screen, a lot easier to read now.. the buffing polishing machine really brings out the paint to a tee, another great vid, tks.
Hey Ed. Got me a thing that cleans the polishing wheels. Its called a "Polishing wheel Rake " and has rows of teeth on a wooden frame with a handle at either end. Does a great job. Send me your email address if you want a peep and I'll ping you a pic...or I might just talk about it next time I'm filming some polishing
Thanks Daniel. Its always worth a go isn't it...nothing to lose and I'm probably going to put the tank and panels back on the bike. One mans imperfect is another man's original. Thanks for watching and for your comment
Its was amazing Mark. About 3 minutes on a side panel with the Chinese beastie and it looks fab. I'm sure there's stuff I missed...or got wrong but we all know what practice makes. :0)
learning curve and i have !! nah came up great rod next time put the polisher on the polish on the tank wipe it around a bit , no splatter then, satisfying isnt it!
That's because you're obviously a man with more brains that me. :0). ...I'll definitely do that next time. I still have no idea what to use all the different pads for...the bumpy one, the microfibre ones ...hopefully someone will chime in. Thanks for watching, and hope you were entertained .
No chance Keith. I don't build wheels, powdercoat anything , fit tyres I've bought or paint stuff that needs to look 100%. "Do what you're good at" is my maxim. Massive delivery on its way....get ready for a flood of work. :0)

Greetings from a very blustery day in Ontario Canada. I think there is a lot to be said for original paint, even with imperfections. Ceers

You can certainly hear that wind out there..
Yeah. We seem to be getting one after another just now. Hopefully that's us through it. Thanks for watching and taking the time to comment
Good job, Rod

thanks for another great video
Thanks for the comment Mike and hope you found it useful.... or at least entertaining.
I wouldn’t have used a teaspoon to put the cutting compound on, I’dve used a spatula. 😁
a fish slice? ..a wooden thingy?..probably anything other than a teaspoon would've been better. :0)

Took me a sec to register the yellow snow consumption comment, lol
Suppose my accent doesn't help.0)
@@rodcurrieclassics8102 I understood ur words, it just wasn't what I was expecting, heh,
What I do is drape an old sheet over the bike then put the tank on so the compound doesn’t get all over it.

Hmmm....I wonder what that polisher is like on shoes? not that I've got a fetish y'understand :0
bring a pair down ...we'll give them the business.... :0)
Hi Rod looks like you did a good job, but please don't try painting 😔 🙏
