Great video Fire & Film! Thankfully Pet Smart was able to get the pets out cause as soon as I got there I asked if they needed help. They had just took the last of them into the employees cars & were headin to the Wilkes-Barre Pet Smart with them. I was also told a PPL bucket utility truck spotted the roof on fire & called it in. Both stores were open but no workers knew that the place was on fire. The worker in Pet Smart said other employees called her to tell her the place was on fire cause they saw it on social media. Thankfully the workers all headed to Pet Smart & were very calm & organized as they brought the pets out. Great job to all the Fire Companies that fought the fire cause that wind was brutal, I struggled just trying to walk through it to make sure Pet Smart didn't need any help with the pets..... they were very thankful that I asked if they needed help. I'm just a huge pet lover & would do anything to save them. Guess its the nurse in me too. ❤🐶😺🐦
Great Coverage !!!! The Brothers and Sisters did their best but once heavy winds take off, it's game over. Thank God all the animals were removed from Pet Smart :-) Yes, I am an animal lover and a Chief. Stay Safe and Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to all !
If I were to guess, I would say the fire started in the HVAC system, which is why the roof was burning, and from the one picture inside, it looked like the fire was in/around the HVAC ducts
It was electric fire, there was something wrong with the lights earlier that day, and it was really windy outside causing one of the powerlines to fall in the building, luckily all the pets were saved and no one was hurt or injured or killed, call Shell it was only the roof, though after them pouring the water on it, The roof collapsed in and the building got water damage due to the roof being weak from the water, today they have remodeled it and it is bran new 😅

I feel for the firefighter that has to drag that hose back to the hydrant. Why do they refuse to stop at a hydrant and then pull the hose? Save a lot of time and energy needed to fight the fire. I think I saw at least four ladder trucks where they had take the hose back to the hydrant wasting time and man power.

Working here now. Replacing the HVAC. Can confirm it was the HVAC that started the fire…
@@Presenceofpressure Do you happen to remember the manufacturer of that HVAC unit?
Save the beer! Nice footage 👍.
Hats off to all the fire fighters!!!!! Great job !!!!!! Sorry for the loss of the business but least no one was injured.
Like the "WIND"
What exactly do you mean here ?
Dude i like that song
Weis meets its crazy side
Did they find out what started the fire on the roof? Wicked wind too!! That made it difficult.

My friend lives at cross the street of wais that was the closest supermarket where she was able to walk so sad
Uh-oh. This is a bad sign. We have Weis supermarkets here in NJ.
Lol I think your Weis will be just fine, fires aren’t contagious like that. Unless your Weis’s HVAC system also goes on the fritz
Was the fire just on the roof?
There was some extension into the building but the main fire was on the roof.

Looks to me, very low water pressure!
I honestly think it is more the wind having its way with the streams. The wind last night was unbelievable!!!!
