This scene really makes you feel what they feel and the soundtrack goes so well with the scene. Look at Spirits eyes and the pain he's in just trying to protect her. He's such a strong willed horse and has never gone through this before.. that pain is so real in all the expressions between all the characters. Hands down one of my favorite movies.
This tore me up as a kid... the movie seemed to tell me so much about life and how the world was... the music itself is enough to convey the message of grief but when you see the pain in the eyes of these horses... it's impossible not to feel your heart crack and your eyes burn. This is one of the most clear displays of the failures of mankind.
This movie and it's score literally had me on an emotional roller coaster. Spirit is such an underrated film, it hurts me that it doesn't get the recognition that it absolutely deserves. Such a compelling story, with many life lessons intertwined, and excellently fleshed out characters. It's a damn shame that Spirit: Riding Free, and Spirit: Untamed threw all the principles that made this movie great out the window. I still tear up at this particular scene with Rain injured, and Spirit trying his best to comfort her.
This melody speaks to me, my heart shatters whenever I hear it. Its like real emotions.. I don't care if it's a fictional animated movie about horses, it will be one of my favourites. It *always* tears me up.

my beloved horse died this week… i visited him just a day before he passed, it felt like he waited, just to see me a last time, before he can die peacefully. I never expected him to pass away this early but i am so happy that i were able to say goodbye... he is free now, forever

Although, during the pandemic, obviously I couldn't see my friends, and over time I thought I no longer had feelings for him... But at the end of that 2020, I got back together with my friends, I saw them a lot, and then those feelings for him that I thought were gone came back. It turned out that many things happened, at the beginning of last year, I had to propose to him, and after a few months he fell in love with me. We only last a year and a few months. He cut me off. But it's okay, I'm nobody to hold him back, and meanwhile, I have to deal with my feelings towards him, we can't control the heart. So all of this, it just is what it is. He gave me my first kiss, I really, really wish I had my first time with him, I regret all the opportunities I chose to miss. I waited too long. Like I said, it's been two days since I last saw him. We haven't written to each other, I miss him. I've only been these days taking refuge in music like this. If you read this far, Thank you... I just had to express all this.

Like imagine if it was this music with Clem when she first finds out lee is bit and then flash all the memories and right at the end at 2:36 you could include either Clem walking alone (after the credits) or something from season 2,3 or even 4 about Clem talking about Lee

Yesss its so sad that spirit untamed and spirit riding free literally destroyed this masterpiece and its original meaning it was really disappointing
