This is amazing! I love a good short book. Sometimes they can feel incomplete but the good ones know how to be really concise and say everything they need to say in a short amount of time.
Not yet sure what I'm doing for this, though I guess pretty well all Kim Thuy counts, so I might continue reading her. For the Framed challenge, Curious Sounds: A Dialogue in Three Movements by francesca ekwuyasi & Roger Mooking would count for both short and about art.
Thank you for the great recommendations. "The Red Chesterfield" Sounds very interesting. Also, my sister has been telling me to read "Fifteen Dogs" for years. Maybe these two books are the ones that will get me out or my reading slump. 😊
I've been meaning to do a video about my Canadian reading journey this year, but I'm struggling to film videos this year. Been reading from around Canada slowly all year, such a great challenge and adventure! For this month's prompt, I read Tea in the Tundra by Josephine Bacon and currently reading Dominoes at the Crossroads by Kaie Kellough. Enjoyed/ing both!
When you have the chance to film, I look forward to watching. I will have to look up Josephine Bacon. I still need to read Dominoes. So glad to hear you enjoyed both of them. 😊💙

I enjoy them too. They can be pretty powerful stories. 😊💙
Thanks for reading and spreading the word about Mouth to Mouth 😊
My pleasure. It’s one of those books I kept thinking about after I read it and continued to find appreciation for it. Thanks for watching. 😊💙
Thank you!

I loved Fifteen Dogs. 😍
I will be rereading it with the readalong and I’m looking forward to seeing what I get out of it this time. 😊💙

Ohhhhh…. I’ve seen that book. I’m very curious about it. 😊💙
I ordered Ru and The Red Chesterfield from my library. Both sound appealing to me in different ways. I’m drawn to shorty books right now. TY!
They are very different but I hope you enjoy them both. 😊💙
A great list! Mouth to Mouth would also work for Framed! since it’s set in the world of expensive fine art.
Ah! Yes it is. I forgot about that. 😊💙

The Red Chesterfield is an underrated gem. I hope you like them if you get to them.
