He remained great friends with his Gurkha unit into his last years and he passed fifteen odd years ago. I had one of his battle Kukris until I lost it in a home invasion where I lost a lot of other important stuff. Your Kukri is so beautiful it literally brought me to tears. One day I’ll be proud to own a knife that has that FZ stamp

Question for smiths here, anyone know why he took the temper to that blue purple color? Only thing i can think is because it would need the extra shock absorbing, but still seems like a lot. Not doubting this man's skills and craftmanship at all. He makes beatiful tools.
