Meatball: Regional variants count as separate Pokemon. Also Meatball: I'm going to not evolve Dartrix into Decidueye because I want to save Hisuian Decidueye for Legends Arceus. I think you might've forgotten one of your own rules there lol, that might've made things easier.
@@duck13x76 the script would've come after/during the run, given that it talks about the progress of the run I imagine it's more likely that during the planning stage it was decided to allow regionals, but then at some point during the run it was forgotten (probably after Persian got acab'd from the team)
Wait if you are allowing (Alolan) forms doesnt that mean you couldve just evolved Dartrix since Hisuian Decidueye is a regional form and therefore a different Pokemon?
I believe you technically did not use Lampent since you evolved it straight into Chandelure. That one could be useful still with its typing. Also, like others mentioned, it is still not quite clear how you are counting regional variants, since you did not use Decidueye to use the Hisuian form instead, but you did use Alolan Meowth and Persian. If you continue to count regional variants separately, it would be neat if you could add them to the tracker.
That's an interesting thing. Since sometimes he does count pokemon that he evolves immediatly has "used", and sometimes he doesn't (which makes sense since he did not use them in battle). Strange but I believe he does that only with pokemon he knows he'll never use again. Imagine in USUM, he uses Decidueye after reading the comments questioning his lack of use of non-Hisuian Decidueye, and just makes it like a plan so he can use a starter in each game
Im so happy you decided to continue this serie! Cant wait for the bext episode! The reason the Totem Pokemon are a little lower level then the team boss fights before them is because totem Pokemon get stat boosts and can call for help. the totems litterally make it a two v 1 and you act like they were made three levels lower to personally offend you.
Happy to see this series making a return. It's been fun to watch. I wasn't a fan of these games either probably why I never played them. Designs great > Structure not so much
I was watching this all as it released when you started the franchiselocke and stopped when you took your break, great to see you back, by the way, and had no idea you finished it. I had this playlist saved in my library and clicked into it on a complete whim. I'm psyched to see you finish the last several generations
Good job on the Nuzlockes! Just as a suggestion, whenever you have to really speed up the footage like for Lusamine 2nd in Moon, do you mind maybe dimming the screen a little bit? I don't even have epilepsy or anything of the sort but I had to look away during those segments. Otherwise great vid!
The only problem is the fact that he'd be forced to use Rowlett again, which he can't do. By not fully evolving the starter he guaranteed that he'll never use the fully evolved version
@@trashpanda2825 that isn't the point, see meatball said that he's counting regional variants as different pokemon, therefore allowing him to use hisuian decidueye even if he used the alolan one too, also he wouldn't be forced to use rowlett again (in battle, according to his rules) since he can do what he did with ORAS and LeafGreen and catch a mon he hasn't yet used as soon as he can and not count it as using the starter he already used
Glad to see you back with the franchiselock but trust me I understand needing that 7 month break. Going through the first 6 gens of pokemon plus the 2 gamecube games must have been rough, you deserved it man. But I am glad it's back. Good work btw keep it up. 👍
This is the craziest pokemon challenge I've ever seen. Doing a hardcore nuzlock of every mainline game in the franchise already sounds absurd to me but ChaoticMeatBall is on another level!
Omg was this series that fastfoward before? My eyes could barely follow it without being dazzled. But good to know it is back, i really happy to follow it again
Went through the last two days watching this whole series, pretty wild ride and interesting way to buzlocke, basically forcing most pokemon to be played. Keep up the hard work, cant wait for the next one :)
Man, constructive criticism here... You exaggerate so much with setup moves! It's clear watching your videos that, many many times, you spend 20+ turns setting up to resist/ohko a mon just to Switch out as soon as the next one come, having to do it ALL over again. Many of those times you could simply 2 shot and not lose the mon anyways, or just a +1 or +2 would suffice. Honestly, when I started watching your content I admired that patience to do all these nerdiness to set up, but now I see How counterproductive It is and I'm pretty sure that It contributed a Lot to your recent Burnout. Think about that a little bit! You could spend much less time with each challenge, suffering much less and having less work with each video. On top of that, your content would be even more amazing and appeal to more people, because not many are like us and enjoy these detailed and over safe plays. I believe you would make even more sucess and be happier if you commit to control yourself and not overdo these setting ups! Hope you understand what meant, sorry for any mispellings because english is not my mother language and also I'm typing on my cellphone. Anyways, I love your work and I just wish you the best, dude! Cheers from Brazil!
Could you lay off the Sun/Moon AI? They do not actually read your moves, instead just having a random factor in their move selection. If you want a more guaranteed victory, you can plan around this, though it seems that you prefer minimally planned battles dominated by setup sweepers--which is fine, but won't always work out in certain games and ROM hacks, so I get why you may not like them as much.
Lord Sergeant: "Sir! What are you doing?" ChaoticMeatball: "Sir... Finishing the fight." Sorry for the Halo 2 reference but I am so glad you brought a new video here. Of course, it seems that your original plan to nuzlock Let's Go with these games is out the window. :p
Yeah this gonna suck chaotic meatballs by the time USUM video roles but god damn it man you are a king for pulling through. May the alola hell viewing commence!
I'm glad to see this series return, but I'm glad you took the break. I've always been of the opinion that I enjoy videos more when the creator enjoyed making the video. So don't force yourself, haters be damned!
Ah yes, Alola. Despite the truely awful information dump at the beginning, I really love the rest...well Ultra Space was a bit underused but everything else (design, atmosphere, characters, Pokémon, changes) is right up my alley. It's ironic that it is in this region of all regions where I had my worse Nuzlock run yet...
you mention not wanting to do 4 alola games in a row, both at the beginning of this video and before the hiatus, and I'll pose the same question I did then. If you weren't going to stop doing nuzlocks anyways, why not have the hiatus after sun & moon, before the ultras, to give yourself a break from them, as now that you're back, it's just front loading them at your return. that said, doesn't really matter much now.
You wouldn't like Pokemon Speedruns of Sword, Shield, Scarlet and Violet, then - they basically just have you death abuse to the rival because the game continues the story even if you black out. :p
Ah dang - I had the idea of this earlier this year, but I was doing just 1 from each gen, you decided to take this even further lol. Awesome job! I'm going to have to catch up on your journey and take some notes! :)
At around 41:00 minutes he loses his metang and Palossand. These deaths are unfortunate but completely avoidable and the way he acts when he talks about it makes it sound like it should have gone for the more effective poison type move; only problem is that in sun and moon at level 47 gengar has dark pulse, dream eater, shadow ball, and payback. There are no poison type moves on this gengar. I can see that thinking it has a poison type move is a reasonable assumption, but he acts like it’s not his fault when he could have very easily looked up it’s moveset before making his decisions. Also, gengar is just faster and outspeed kills the metang next turn anyway.
Gen 7 is under rated but definitely they need an option to skip the cut scenes for replays getting past.that first island is a nighmare But the dex, story and challenge is the best

Thanks for all of the work you put into your content. Looking forward to the Scarlet and Violet video.
I can definitely understand the complaints about level caps from the perspective of a hardcore nuzlocker, but the rag on the music, I'm afraid I'm going to have to go to war over, as it is my favorite in the whole franchise.
I’m so excited! Thank you for the amazing video chaotic! ❤️ four alola games must’ve been hard but we appreciate the hard work! ❤️❤️❤️
26:19 it was quite the delight watching the timelapse of this battle. Miltank headbanging while gimmicking Totem Vikavolt has made my day lol
Hey, thank you for picking up the series again. This series helped me a lot to get through my day when I was starting a new job. I would always look forward to watching the latest installments on my lunch breaks. More than happy to wait. Again thank you, I needed this today.
WWOOOOOHOOOO return of the franchise lock!!!!!!!! I love this but I understand the slow pace/burnout. I hope your mental health is going well! Take this at your pace I will stick around for all of it and all of your content
I fail to believe that the series is back
Let's go games are going to be a PAIN in the ass with NO pikachu, No Eevee and barely any Route 1 mons available
I'm glad you took the break since you needed it. Those 600 subscribers won't matter in the long run.
Glad this series is back, I hope the break was nice! Sad that some people can't be patient but for those of us who stayed, this was more than worth it 💚
Imagine in USUM, he uses Decidueye after reading the comments questioning his lack of use of non-Hisuian Decidueye, and just makes it like a plan so he can use a starter in each game
Im so happy you decided to continue this serie! Cant wait for the bext episode!
Suggestion: once you are done with scarlet/violet(or whatever is the latest game by that point) i suggest you continue with the series whenever new game comes out, just to see how far we can push this. That would make about 1 or maybe 2 video a year.
Was one of the 600 who unsubscribed. The negativity is why I won’t be resubscribing, I’ll stick around for the end of this series though. Good luck the rest of the way, hope you find something you enjoy doing.
Yeah, I didn't sub to begin with because while I'm interested in this particular series and where it will go, I just don't jive with this level of negativity. I might've been more resistant to it if pokemon fans didn't beat the "modern games are bad!!!!" horse to death, who knows. Hope after this series he can just focus on things he actually likes.
@@JinjoJess he won't if you look at his channel history he started off doing things he was passionate about but then stumbled onto the professor oak challenge niche. Got popular off them and then started doing a bunch of other poke stuff rapidly he does this purely for money and the passions has burned away. You can tell if you watch all the vids he starts off much more positive and happy but many videos lately are negative, complaining. Talking about inability to sleep. He's lost in this game
I *was* wondering if you had burnt out permanently and stopped this series but it's good to see you're feeling better. Don't matter what art medium it is burnout SUCKS. i'm a writer. burnout..eesh.
Don't worry about the unsubscribes, you'll get many more. Never understood the unsubscribing. You can still rewatch old content....
Here's to more great content,Meatball (and you're almost done! just a few more! :O )
i usually end up falling asleep to pokemon nuzelocke videos bc theyre soothing but the john cena jumpscare has left me with anxiety. not cool :(
Absolute GOAT. Thanks so much for even more entertainment. And flexing on the people who doubted you.
So glad this series is back! I can tell your break did you well! There's no shame in putting your mental health above a UA-cam series. Keep up the good work!
This is literally the first content I’ll have ever watched from Sun and Moon. Kind of missed that wagon
Did you really mention at the start of the video that you were gonna be counting regional variants separately from each-other... and then say you wouldn't use Decidueye because you wanted to save it for LA, where Dartrix evolves into Hisuian Decidueye?
Well, atleast at that pace you'll never run out of this series. :^)
Jokes aside, I subbes for this series, stayed for you and am glad to see that comeback of the series.
Keep it up!
Oh boy the series is back. Love your work, I'm glad you're back from the burnout. I would 100% watch you play other games though, don't keep putting so much pressure on yourself.
The reason the Totem Pokemon are a little lower level then the team boss fights before them is because totem Pokemon get stat boosts and can call for help. the totems litterally make it a two v 1 and you act like they were made three levels lower to personally offend you.
Holy fuck! RIP my ears and spine with that John Cena jump scare at 1:06
Excited to see the continuation of this! Gonna watch this right now!
Hope Alolan Decidueye gets a chance to shine in one of the Ultra games, once Meatball remembers his regional forms rule.
Really excited you were able to get back to the challenge!
Omg was this series that fastfoward before? My eyes could barely follow it without being dazzled. But good to know it is back, i really happy to follow it again
i think it’s cuz the video would be even longer if he didn’t speed it up lol
Thanks for continuing this series. I really like watching it ❤
you do not know how much i've been looking foreward to this
You’re amazing!! Thanks for the video! Your content, especially this series really brightens my day!
A two hour video! That's almost as long as the intro area of any Alola game!
So glad to see this one is back, great job and thanks for suffering through alola for us
Went through the last two days watching this whole series, pretty wild ride and interesting way to buzlocke, basically forcing most pokemon to be played. Keep up the hard work, cant wait for the next one :)
The absolute king is back. Hope you enjoyed your break.
Thank you for bringing this series back
Man, constructive criticism here...
Nice video, High Horsepower is a Ground move though. Not a Fighting one.
Lord Sergeant: "Sir! What are you doing?"
ChaoticMeatball: "Sir... Finishing the fight."
Sorry for the Halo 2 reference but I am so glad you brought a new video here. Of course, it seems that your original plan to nuzlock Let's Go with these games is out the window. :p
Bruh...
The volume of that Cena jumpscare was the least necessary.
Nice, that challenge made me get into your channel and pokemon content in general (except the occasional smallant vid) and it finally continues. Hyped
Yeah this gonna suck chaotic meatballs by the time USUM video roles but god damn it man you are a king for pulling through. May the alola hell viewing commence!
31:00 ArchIE is the leader of team Aqua in the Hoenn-based games, ArchER is the leader of team Rocket in the Johto-based games.
I am so excited to see this series back!
Yeah, I would've preferred that without the screeching sound effects. Almost blew my ears even on mid volume.
you mention not wanting to do 4 alola games in a row, both at the beginning of this video and before the hiatus, and I'll pose the same question I did then.
If you weren't going to stop doing nuzlocks anyways, why not have the hiatus after sun & moon, before the ultras, to give yourself a break from them, as now that you're back, it's just front loading them at your return.
that said, doesn't really matter much now.
My god, I can't wait, I wanted some good news today, and he came through, top lad ❤👏
Do, I legit have been waiting on this video xD Love your content!
You wouldn't like Pokemon Speedruns of Sword, Shield, Scarlet and Violet, then - they basically just have you death abuse to the rival because the game continues the story even if you black out. :p
How fitting that you’re using ALOLAmamola in the Gen 7 games
I can't imagine running 4 gen 7 games back to back. Please tell me you took a break in between games because that sounds like hell
My man here never plays around crits ☠️
Oh boy the Set-uplocke is back!
I can barely stomach a single alolan run let alone 4. Absolute mad lad
Weak
Gen 7 is kino keep malding lmfao
Looking at the encounters, the let’s go games are gonna be rough in the early game.
Me when my jrpg game that focuses on story has long dialogue sections 😭😭😭
Me when I ask for challenging trainers in said jrpg and they’re too hard to use a lame setup sweep strategy on -.-
@@IsabruhMomentMe after stalling every single fight in the game and being bored💀
I’m listening this while at work. Thank you for keeping me entertained!
YEAHHHH BABY THIS IS WHAT WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
This is incredibly ambitious and I wish you luck on completing your lofty goal
Gen 7 is under rated but definitely they need an option to skip the cut scenes for replays getting past.that first island is a nighmare
But the dex, story and challenge is the best
Babe wake up, the pokemon franchise is being nuzlocked again !
