Her lip syncing with him was magical, it represents so much about the artist and the audience.
The guitar by The Edge, absolutely recognizable and unique.
Yes it is and he has an amazing pedel board that he uses
When it showed the camera perspective where you could just see a tight shot on their two faces, and you see her mouthing the words, I teared up, man...
U2 is primal. U2 is the soundtrack to my life since the early 80's.
This is probably one of their most emotional song done live!! I get goosebumps every time I listen to this song!!
One of my favourite bands. I waited nearly 40 years to see them play and finally did in 2019 and it was worth every second of the wait.
Your reaction to the kiss did not disappoint 😅
You're totally right about the barrier, the distance between us as fans and the band.
We can feel like the song is "about us", but we know Bono isn't really singing it "to us".
That's why bringing her on stage is so powerful.
It's not just giving her an incredible experience, she becomes a bridge to the band.
We get to experience it with her, trough her.
She's our bridge.
I was there that night. It was magic.
I'm a dude and Bono has a similar affect on me. I think you will enjoy All I Want Is You/Streets Have No Name (live at Slane Castle), Bad (Rattle And Hum) and Until The End Of The End/New Years Day (ZOO TV Sidney). the Slane Castle performance was just days after Bono's father had passed so it was very emotional. The other two performances are from much earlier in the band's career.
Outstanding recommendations. I would only add Love is Blindness from ZooTV Sydney.
Bad from Live Aid...you get a great song and the young Bono mullet
I was going to suggest the same thing.
Ran to the comments to suggest the same! Thank you! 🙏
To me, a classic is “Where the streets have no name”.

@@igortokarski9517 thanks
Agreed. Also, underrated yet spectacularly brilliant U2 tracks; Wake-Up Deadman, Moment of Surrender, Lemon, Magnificent, Love is Blindness, Gone, Mofo, Please, Discotheque, Dirty Day, Acrobat, Every Breaking Wave - and many, many more amazingly innovative classic songs.
-Where the Streets Have No Name is absolutely a classic
-Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For is absolutely a classic
-With or Without You is absolutely a classic
None of those facts are mutually exclusive.
The only reason I say any of that is to highlight how absolutely bonkers it is those were the 3 opening tracks of the same album. For my money, those 3 opening tracks are among the 5 best of any album in Rock ‘n’ roll history.
If i remember right, this was around the time he lost his dad,so he was feeling extra emotional during the entire concert. I think by having this lady by his side on the floor,he felt some kind of comfort to his situation, and it was therefor he decided to give her something extra for making him feel that way (you can tell that he tried to read her before he made that step). I think he didnt fully realize that he needed that feeling of comfort, until she layed next to him, singing the lyrics with him. So ever since i realized you were this new to U2,i have been thinking of this very performance as i knew you would have such a good reaction to it!
This gig in Boston was filmed in June, Bono’s dad passed away in August, so your theory of him needing someone to comfort is wrong I’m afraid.
Bono has always pulled ppl onstage, nowadays in the Vegas’ Sphere, he comes down into the crowd.
Bono’s dad was buried the day before the first Slane concert which made that film very poignant
@@greety Bono spoke about these gigs before his dad passed away, and admitted he was emotional about it all the time, as his dad was at that time very sick, basically waiting for death. Both also had a troubled relationship so it was probably affected by all this. I think what sonofthesea said maybe is note super accurate but he is in the right direction. Cheers
He has always pulled fans up on stage right from the beginning. They've done their best to stay as connected to the fans as possible. You'll find several videos of ladies pulled up on stage, like Love is Blindness from a live show in Australia during the Zoo TV tour. Later they started pulling all kinds of people up, including allowing guitarists to play a song with them. 🥰
Thank you so much for your reaction! For me watching the performance, you can really project yourself into the position of the fan, which is an amzing space to be in. And I think that's what you were doing without talking about it - you were there in that moment with her, which made the performance so beautiful.
'My hands are tied, My body bruised, she got me with, Nothing to win and nothing left to lose'
U2 live Paris 2015 October/ Bullet the Blue Sky is another unique and just amazing performance by them.
Outstanding performance as was your reaction! Recommend U2 performance at Superbowl on Feb 3, 2002. This was only months after 9/11 and included a tribute to all who lost their lives. Be well!
I've heard/watched other discussions about this concert and Bono's behavior etc., but your discussion and reaction to this story is the most natural in my opinion and at least close to my heart. I am 69 years old, I live in Estonia, and of course the language barrier prevents me from fully understanding the nuances, but your body language is so natural and amazing. I can't add anything else, it's good that the world has such music, such performers/creators and such an understanding as yours...
I remember in 1984 in Dallas Bono climbed from the stage and into the lower balcony and walked through rows and rows of seats through several sections, went right by us, and we were just starstruck. Everyone was amazed, respectful, and just graced with his presence as he walked by occasionally hugging someone, shaking hands. Security wasn't even expecting it and the look on their faces when he took off was priceless.
You were as giddy as a school girl! And absolutely striking as well. I definitely get it. I was fortunate enough to have seen them on the Joshua Tree tour when I was 16. A few times in-between and again when they toured, playing the entire Joshua Tree album when I was 46. There will always be something magical about U2.
Everyone already mentioned All I Want is You from Slane Castle and YES, you'll fall in love with his vocals. A few days after he buried his father and even Edge is emotional trying not to cry. He sang Kite (a song he wrote for him when he was taking care of him while he was at the hospital) for him too and it's such a beautiful song and performance.
Anything from ZOOTV, the band at their most original, crazy and fun era. Love Is Blindness, Lemon (transition to With or Without You as Macphisto, a character he used to play at their shows), Even Better Than The Real Thing..
Their Live Aid performance is obviously very iconic. Also if you like his lyrics you should listen to 'Who's Gonna Ride Your Wild Horses', written when Edge was dealing with his divorce. An amazing song.
And a personal favorite!! Every Breaking Wave (2014 EMAs performance) because his vocals are amazing!
All of this. Crowd interactions on Zoo(LEMON!), Slane Castle and WOW Every Breaking Wave on the EMAs was awesome. If you can find I Will Follow from SNL, Bono hits hard with audience and cast interactions...LOL.
You get it. You really get Bono and this performance. The song he wrote for his wife whom he loves above all. Thank you for your reactions.
Might be dumb question since a fan of U2, but have you watched their performance in 1985 Live Aid concert in England with song Bad? Queen good there, but not as close as this, younger Bono the same with fans, more physical, my favorite song of them, so awesome. You either agree, or have to watch it after this!
💖💋💖
First time coming across this channel. This was fantastic. She’s got a dynamic personality. Very engaging. Of course it doesn’t hurt that she’s an absolute smoke-show.
I love her facial expressions. She's not afraid to totally geek out.
Rachel is BAE !!!!!!😍🥰😘
Great reaction! You have to watch All I Want Is You and Where the Streets Have No Name live at Slane Castle!!
Great reaction Rachel, next I recommend 'Oktaf Kanis - Come On' thank you
New subscriber here. Great reaction. As others have stated you might like love is blindness live from sydney. There is also a video from 2001 Mysterious ways where bono brings his daughter onstage to dance. Ive seen them five times and each time he has brought someone from the audience on stage. I saw them years ago on the first Joshua Tree tour and was standing in a hallway as they exited and Larry Mullen handed me his drumsticks. Still have them to this day😊
I just found your channel and loved your reaction. U2 is my favorite band since 1987 and there are so many songs I could recommend you to listen to. I actually went t to your side and scrolled through your videos from the past months and noticed that you didn’t do any other U2 reaction yet. So maybe you would consider my recommendation. My favorite live performance and vocals from Bono were at the MTV music Award show from the song “Every Braking Wave”
It took my breath away. It’s such a gorgeous song with beautiful lyrics. I highly recommend you looking for it.
Awesome reaction! I’ve seen U2 couple of times now. Bono always pull somebody from the crowd to join them on stage. I’ve seen him do that when they sing “Mysterious Ways”
She was a professional dancer and wife of The Edge. Morleigh I think her name was. Divorced now.
Just checked. Edge is still married to her.
This is probably my favorite U2 song or at least on my top 3!!! Really enjoyed the reaction ❤✌️
Thank you for being you another great reaction u2 a legendary band have a amazing day. 😊👍👍❤💯
Could see the lust, jealousy and desire in your eyes…. Your eyes told tales on you that old guys float your boat! If Bono had been in your room you would have nailed him! You almost drooled
You need to watch live from Slane castle - all I want is you / where the streets have no name (1 segways into the other) one of the best things I have ever seen live. It always blows me away. Phenomenal
Beautiful Song
U2 "Love is Blindness" Live from Sydney .... you'll love it
I love U2 hello from Boulder Colorado😅
Damn, indeed! He’s the king of swagger and swoon ❤
Swoooooooooon!
@@rayactions He was at his peak (looks and vocal wise) on the original Joshua Tree Tour. Even my ex-girlfriend fancied him then. He was seen then at the same level as Michael Hutchence.
Their version of With or Without You from Rattle and Hum is sooo good 😍
Just love your reaction!!!
This song - is - on another level - a Love Song from U2 to all of their fans.. "we can't live.. with or without you"
They are looking at the stars 😊 While listening to one.
Where The Streets Have No Name from this concert is pure magic
I have seen U2 16x and some moments are burned in your heart. Still best live acts I have seen. There are only a few singers who have an aura, are magical. Bono, Freddie, Dave Gahan, Floor Jansen. If you wanna see the same magic, do "Love is blindness" together with "I can't help..." live from Sydney, Zoo TV. That's one of the kind of goosebumps you will NEVER forget!!! 😂
Absolutely love your reaction. Every emotion and idea we could as they were crossing your mind.
You can't go wrong i love all U2 ...from beginning to end . So good and please THE EDGE A PRAISE AS A GUITARIST
This song takes me to late 80s summer when I was on my first summer job in Finnish capital Helsinki faraway from my home town and listened this from CD at the apartment I shared with my coworkers.
Loved them for a long time. Once you're hooked you're hooked..Slainte
I've been in the audience, inside the heart, a few times when he's done this, and just being in the same arena with it was intense!!
Next reaction request: Oktaf Kanis - Come On, thank you Rachel :)
Great request! Come On 🔥
@@JesseLarrian thank you! :)
This song made me U2's lifelong fan since 1988
Rachel, you must do Oktaf Kanis - Come On 🔥
From same Boston concert, The Fly. Then Every Breaking Wave from MTV awards or porch of New England house.
Hi Rachel! You should do a reaction for Oktaf Kanis - Come On 🖤🔥
Appreciation to your fans to accept someone onto the stage and lay down and sing to them
Lets face it the reason they dont do this often or at all is because you cant do that for everyone
Yeah she will cherish that moment for the rest of her life
Bono is known to bring someone on stage to dance with. To die for. He’s been doing it in shows since I saw them on the Joshua Tree tour.
Next react to Come On by Oktaf Kanis, thank you Rachel ❤
And that's why Bono is Bono. Check our "Red Hill Mining Town" from The Joshua Tree album. That vocal is maybe Bono's best.
I was at this show. In the day, they were the best live band. Seen them like 20+ times over the years. They are getting older now and lost it a little as most bands do as they age, but I don't mind...I still love this band. 😁
Please do "Come On" by Oktaf Kanis, thanks Rachel!
Love your reaction to this. I think you'd like 'So Cruel' from Achtung Baby - lyrically it is superb! Not one of their better known songs but a masterpiece none the less.
I have been with U2 since War, I had the Army shirt with the sleeves removed. Please listen to Bad or I Threw a Brick Through a Window. I have seen U2 five times. It was expensive at the end....
it's very nice he leaves you speachless and so exited. You're very nice and tender too watching this.
And that’s why, thank you and goodnight, god bless..
Thank you for this review Rayaction. Its always refreshing to see someone who is so young appreciate a classic. I can't think of a song released in the Zoomer's generation or in the Millennial's generation that moves the soul quite like U2's With or Without You, written way back in 1987. This song speaks to the beauty of utter devotion and the tragedy of that devotion not being reciprocated better than any song in recent memory. Apart from the moving vocals of Bono, U2 must be praised for their amazing guitar and bass work, both of which serve to amplify just how timeless this song is.
Everyone comments on him singing on his back and how hard it is--and they're right. Later in this show he runs a lap or two around the outer walk-way at a full sprint and then immediately launches into "Streets"🤯 A few years ago he had to have a major surgery on his chest and his Dr. told him afterward that, through some fluke of genetics, the doc estimated he possessed something like 130% of standard lung capacity. Bono was literally born for this. Bono Vox indeed!
**see "Magnificent"**
I love you reaticons to U2💗
I'm sorry, but you can. This reaction was so good, I keep coming back to watch it again. You're hilarious.
That girl will forever remember this
Tnx for this rayaction. It was 👍
Check out some of their early stuff like “Sunday, Bloody Sunday”. Back when they spoke out about the Irish violence.
Try Running to Stand Still/Where the Streets Have No Name from ZooTV Sydney. They're just an epic band and they shine brightest when live. They've become a bit overblown and everybody ages, but I tell younger kids I'm old enough to remember when U2 was cool, and in the 80's, 90's and early '00s they were the coolest band on the planet. The ZooTV tour in the early 90's lasted 3 years and was arguably their zenith.
My favorite band ever and I love love your reaction to this one when you were like “wait, what? NO” when she got up to lay by him and when he props up to look at her “OMG Stop, Ssstop” was priceless I know what you mean it gets me every time when he does that. I’m gonna be seeing them live in Las Vegas at the Sphere on Oct 14th and I just can not wait. MG your reaction has got me even more fired up lol. “Love is for everybody” love that. Your the best
I just never seen a fan brought up on stage for such an intimate song and in the way he did it. IT WAS MAGICAL ✨
You have some of the most genuine reactions, and you've made a subscriber out of me
Thank you! 🫂 welcome in! And I'll have to look into that one!
Great reaction my young woman, I laughed and smiled watching you.
Keep it up ❤❤❤❤❤😊😊
Great breakdown!
I nominate this reaction video as the best u2 reaction video. Lol😂
I was looking forward your reaction to this one.
Love your passion for music and the joy you share with these reactions. Hope one day we are at a level to be watched by you. _Respect from a little band in Canada.
I remember when the video came out ...and it wasn't my draw but it drew me for sure.....they are incrdible.
Hahahaha..I loved your reaction so much!!!! Thank you!
THE song for the brokenhearted if there ever was one.
PLEASE react to the All I Want Is You/Where The Streets Have No Name live at Slane Castle. Maybe Bono’s most incredible vocal and unreal Irish crowd ❤
Your reaction is sooooo cute! I love it!
There are certain songs in your life where you can remember exactly where you were when you first heard them. I was stationed at Plattsburgh AFB, NY in 1987. Me and a couple buddies went up to Montreal to party for the night. I had been a U2 fan since high school, but had not yet heard any song from the Joshua Tree album yet. I was in a strip club on St. Catherine street when I first heard this song. There was no song introduction but I instantly knew it was Bono. The next day I bought the album, my very first CD. Still have it. A few months later, I saw their Joshua Tree tour at Olympic Stadium in Montreal.
U2 -> you too -> that's what it means. So, all this connection to their fans is something natural. And U2's songs I'd like you to react to are: "I still haven't found what I'm looking for"; "New Year's Day"; "Beautiful day"; "Pride (In the name of love)"; "Vertigo".
Nothing to do with that. They named themselves after the 'U2' spy plane, as they thought the letters U and 2 would look good on a record sleeve.
Who is this beautiful women firstly? Secondly perfect choice! Thank you ❤
Wait until the official best bits of u2 UV live from the Sphere in Vegas comes out, I’ve seen them 21 times and this was the most emotional concert I’ve been to, grown men, including me, were in tears. I love Bono and U2, has been by my side since I was 15, now 53. Saw them twice in October 2023. Who’s going to Ride your Wild horses was reborn, So Cruel that first night, he pulled Lady Gaga up on stage.
It’s not that some people that don’t like Bono, they just don’t get him.
Get him and you can’t help but love him!
I can play this on bass. Granted its only 4 notes but still sounds good. Lol. Thanks for reacting to this one. One of my favorites
I have been to several of their concerts and Bono knows how to make a stadium feel intimate
Fun reaction! Look up U2’s 1985 performance in Live Aid…song is Bad…you won’t regret it.
I had the same reaction, yeah swooning over ☺️🥰
i love u2, and i love u2
This is my favorite U2 song and this version is the video I discovered UA-cam in the summer of 2006. UA-cam allowed me to deep dive all things U2 and they became my most favorite band.
I would later see U23D (a 3D concert movie) in IMAX with my future wife in 2008. We then would see U2 live in concert in 2009 for their 360 tour in Tampa.
Check out Beautiful Day and Song for Someone. 👍🏻
Great reaction, how lucky is that fan haha A great performance to listen to is Coldplay live in San Paolo singing Fix You.
Favorit music
Bono routinely did this at concerts for this song as well as mysterious ways
very great vocal performance youll fall in love
Beautality. Love it.
Romantic song
your emotion watching the video is really strong....bono fabulous artist. I recommend you listen to among the dozens of great U2 songs landlady, summer of love, book of your heart. (2018). Bono's voice is magical and deep.
This songs has always struck a deep hook into my soul
You need to do Oktaf Kanis - Come On 🙌🏻 🔥
