Are you a politician? Because it took you way too long to explain absolutely nothing lol.
Haha, none of us are politicians. Do you have a specific question that we didn't answer?
Thank you for explaining nothing!
David, thanks for the feedback. This series is meant to be a high level overview of terms and topics that might be unknown to people starting on a construction project. Are there questions you'd like answered about Title 24? We can do a follow up video to answer them.
@@Domum I'd like to know what is the required amount of solar for new construction? If someone was building their own, single-family home, is there a minimum system size they'd be required to add to their build or must it be sized at 100% projected usage offset?
Same question for new construction for apartments, if there are 10 apartments, how much solar is required to put on that structure?
@@DangerDave911 Typically the minimum requirement ranges between 2-3 kilowatts for new construction, but there are a lot of variables a Title 24 engineer needs to know in order to accurately provide the required amount of a new construction residence. The more solar, the more credit to the energy consumption of the building and requirements pulled for other things like insulation, glazing, roof type, etc. Hope that further helps!
The title 24 racket and Simpson Strong Tie racket are helping put housing prices and home improvement out of reach for the middle class, along with artificial home values. The ventilation requirements are completely insane, just open a window
I need full detailed video on title 24 energy calculation. please help.
What are the requirements for CBC 806.5 when using spray foam? If my attic space is unvented and i don't have rigid board on my roof deck, am i able to use fiberglass batts for insulation? Or do, i need to use spray foam?
Brett, This depends on your climate zone of where the property is and no attic vents makes the attic included in the building envelope. There are specific insulation requirements for attics at rafters vs. ceiling in CA. So if you are in a colder climate vs. a warmer climate it will determine the R value of the insulation required for your attic. Consulting a Title 24 Engineer will help identify those requirements specifically for your condition with no attic vents.
Nothing explained..
The calculations for energy compliance vary property to scope to code cycle. Is there a specific question we can answer?
I need more information
Hi Ellen, what else can we try to explain for you? Send some questions!
