    You make it all look super easy . I have all the products but don’t achieve the same results. What nail tools do u use or recommend for push back dead nail skin?

    Yay! I love the nail videos! I love your shape. Maybe shaping next time? I think I have the BIAB thing good now. I am thinking now I want to go back to brighter colours. My plan was to have my BIAB on and then paint over with regular polish -- I have lovely quality varnishes and so many, lots of indie brands -- and change it each week with non-acetone remover. Or use gel colour and file it off to change--but I'm still new with my e-file. I haven't seen you use colour over BIAB but I presume you'd go with gel?

      Hi! So the one I have in this video is no longer available but I’ve got another one I love by Navy Tools; it’s called ‘Doris’ on their website.
      If you need the flat scraper side, Navy Tools ‘Ethel’ will be the one you want 🤗
      Hope that helps!

    After removing gel mechanically with the machine, any gel doesn’t last on my nails longer than 6-7 day and than it starts to come off on roots, close to the cuticle. I recently had had baib gel and the manicurist said that it will last at least for 3 weeks, but it happened again- 6 days and it pcsne off close to the cuticle. I told her not to use the machine on me and she didn’t, but she didn’t apply a base layer, but straight away biab gel saying that the gel itself is basic. Now I am looking how to remove the biab as for me it is no point to pay twice expensive for biab while it lasts the same like normal gel.
    I know that using the machine for the manicurists it is much quicker job, but guys, they lie to us that a polish comes off because we have thing nails or so on.

      I prefer to infill than to remove the polish each time before a new set. This is quicker and also prevents damage to the natural nail. I also prefer to use Cuticle Away to remove the dead skin around the cuticle rather than using the e-file, again, this prevents the nail-bed thinning, and it’s extremely effective at removing the dead skin which usually is the main cause of BIAB lifting at the cuticle area.
      Many of the BIAB gels do not require a base layer, so she was correct in what she told you. It could just be the prep that’s the issue.

      Do you happen to have an autoimmune disease? It’s common that people who have certain conditions that things like polish do not dry or can easily remove themselves from the nail bed.

    Urgh FINALLY someone who fights to keep a cuticle! They're helping your nail immunity! Why do people scissor and trim them, I can't even watch it on videos! All the videos with red sore awful cuticles are unbearable, thanks for saying that! You'll safe people a life time of infections! Some can be life threatening!!!

    Is biab are the same as gel polish?

    • @ShonaghScott
      @ShonaghScott  11 місяців тому +3

      No, gel polish is just a thin coloured overlay. BIAB is a strengthener and builder, ideal of thin nails to give them some structure so they don’t snap.

    Stop spelling the word out n say it properly its so annoying its biab not B I A B

    • @ShonaghScott
      @ShonaghScott  2 місяці тому +2

      BIAB isn’t a word though, it’s an acronym for Builder In A Bottle. So it’s really a preference as to whether you want to say ‘biab’ or B I A B.
      You choose to sound the letters, I prefer to spell them.
