  • In this video, I explore *The Bhagavad Gita*, our Hindu scripture in the Holy month of Margashirsha, that reveals deep, timeless relevance and wisdom and reasons why good people become bad? We dive into the mind boggling dark nature of every human, even you. In the context of Kurukshetra and Mahabharata. Through the divine teachings of Lord Krishna I uncover powerful insights as to how we all possess the ability to both create and destroy. Join me as I break down with Sloka references how Geeta, written thousands of years ago, dated to 1/2 BCE still speaks to the evil we deal in todays time. Discover how Gita gives modern solutions of conscious choices we make, resisting negative tendencies of Tamas and choosing light over the darkness that resides within us. Learn how to use Bhagwad Geeta as a human manual.

    Hare Krishna!
B.G.18.66 Abandon all varieties of religion/dharmas and just surrender unto Me. I shall deliver you from all sinful reaction. Do not fear. (Translation)
Here 'religion' - is anything one is bound to follow or should in accordance to universal laws and his/her own character/role - 'virtue', 'moral/individual duties, responsibilities, right living etc.
It is subject to several interpretations.
In modern world - it is like saying 'My work is my religion.'
However, if under this video any misinterpretation & hatred is spread then requesting my viewers to not support such mis-information and biased personal opinions.
I am attaching a purport for reference below. And if still few viewers choose to spread hatred instead of focusing on all the positivity which was kept in mind while making this video. Then none is the judge of someone else's virtue. It is all upto us what we take. 19:27
    Purport:
The Lord has described various kinds of knowledge, processes of religion, knowledge of the Supreme Brahman, knowledge of the Supersoul, knowledge of the different types of orders and statuses of social life, knowledge of the renounced order of life, knowledge of nonattachment, sense and mind control, meditation, etc. He has described in so many ways different types of religion. Now, in summarizing Bhagavad-gita, the Lord says that Arjuna should give up all the processes that have been explained to him; he should simply surrender to Krsna. That surrender will save him from all kinds of sinful reactions, for the Lord personally promises to protect him.

How can krishna protect? the more i use my intelligence the more I found that no lord/god exist...
how to know krishna is there? and how to know he will protect?
he told arjun to fight and not think for outcomes...but what if arjuna dies? will he save him? or what type of protection krishna is talking about?

What did Krishna mean by "surrender unto Me"? Does this mean to get a statue of a blue man and offer it fruits and flowers and pray to it? This is a genuine question because this is what I see many Hindus doing. What is sinful reaction? And why do we need to be delivered from it? I'm trying to understand exactly what you're talking about here.

@@ritamsaha8662it appears that often times religious texts get misleading, because it is the people who preserve them.
We can never know if god exists, god is not an observation. The only truth we know of is the existence of our own consciousness. If a god does exist, then that god does not interfere with worldly affairs. One is all and all is one.
When it was said that Krishna will protect, it meant, krishna said “I will always be with you”.
Krishna didn’t just tell Arjuna to not worry about the outcome. Arjuna had all the skills, knowledge of war, yet he was unable to break free of his mental chains. The war was inevitable, and if u can’t change something, there’s no point worrying over it.
Arjuna had to fight that day, the outcome of war was clear, which is why worrying over whether or not Arjuna could die was useless.
It seems that often such translations get lost when translated to English.
When people say that they don’t think any god exists, others reply “god does exist because of our scriptures” but no, we can still never know. And that is fine. But can god exist? Absolutely yes.

@@Gr8IncarnateHinduism is not a religion, it has various sub groups. Bhakti is idol worship. Unfortunately the Bhakti movement became the face of Hinduism now.
Never has anyone said that. “Surrender to me” means listen to my teachings, let go of your sinful desires and thoughts. Here, “me” doesn’t refer to Krishna, it refers to Krishna’s teachings. And his teachings are universal.
On another note, I believe the translations to English are a bit misguided, not on purpose. Read my other comment above if u too are questioning this

    • @RadiumDecay
      @RadiumDecay Місяць тому +1

@@Gr8Incarnateit just meant that if we listen and understand the universal teachings, we would lead a happier and better life. Sinful is anything which hurts us or others around us. It’s not about anything rigid like u would see others talking about.
I also don’t think we should act the way we do because of “karma”. We don’t know if it exists, and it is not going to change what I do, because I want to do good.

Self work isn't like leveling up in a computer game, it's like mowing the lawn or exercise: it has to be done regularly, and is especially important during hard times.
We like to think that people who do bad things are monsters, but mostly, the real truth is that ANY of us can become monster if pushed far enough or if hurt badly enough over time. Monsters are only occasionally born, mostly, they're made. Slowly. And they can be unmade with empathy. Both for others and for oneself.

It can be hard to believe unless you've been around narcissists, sociopaths, and others with similar traits. Statistically, about 1 in 10 people may have some form of antisocial personality disorder (ASPD). It's unlikely you're surrounded by that many people with it. My assumption is that maybe one or two people if you re really unlucky are exploiting you perhaps one at home and one at work. The rest could be projection from past trauma. And by the way, there's no such thing as being "too nice". If you're nice to people who exploit you, don't value you, or make fun of you, that's not being nice thats being foolish and a coward for not standing up for yourself. Have a great day!

The thumbnail and the title alone attracted me to this video.
The Thumbnail and Title, especially when you are presenting a scripture or any subject which for a general population, comes under religion is a very tricky task.
How? I was an agnostic-atheist person. Surely, i never had any interest in God and his teachings i.e. The Bhagwat Geeta as i considered them "Religious" and something which has nothing to do with my life goals. Then, howcome i came to the stage where i realised that Srimad Bhagwat Geeta is what explains my true life goal?
The backstory goes, from the times of being a 3rd or 4th grader, i wanted to become an entrepreneur, a billionaire and the very first trillionare of this World. I used to watch so many entrepreneurs on youtube, my absolute favourite entrepreneur revealed that the secret of his success is Srimad Bhagwat Geeta. "What?" was my reaction but then he explained that Bhagwat Geeta is not something religious or sectarian book. It is a Life Manual. It guides, it makes the human fundamental strong and he urged to look at Srimad Bhagwat Geeta from a new perspective.
This, new insight alone changed my entire thoughts and mindset about Bhagwat Geeta. I thought, i want to become an entrepreneur, if this 'life manual' is what really made him successful then i will to.
In conclusion, if we want to change the perspective of the youth and the entire world about Srimad Bhagwat Geeta, we need to PRESENT it in an unique way, aesthetic and something which makes these so-called advanced/modern people click. Because, today's youth is very much addicted to aesthetics.
You did a wonderful job in that aspect. Not the content of the video as it is already perfect but PRESENTING it in a new way without CHANGING the original message of Bhagwat Geeta or giving their own interpretations on it.
This is art, certainly very much blessed by the Lord Sri Hari. And, it is inspirational to me.
I didn't watch the full video, but even within 5 minutes, you condensed so much wisdom.
May All good fortune come to you. Hare Krishna...

would like a deep dive on shakuni's character as well. he did not have any direct benefit from duryodhan's success still he was so vicariously bothered by pandavas. was it just legacy that he was protecting or something else in the human nature fueled his hate for pandavas and desire to see duryodhan above all. many such people still exist that encourage animosity amongst others even when it does not bring anything of value in their own lives.

So the solution to this is to acknowledge everything that is going within you and outside. Say you feels frustrated, then it is best you sit down for a moment think about why you are feeling that way, find the root cause and draw a conclusion about whether it it is actually worth it to act on it . That I think will put a pause to the chain reaction leading to self destruction . That is the mistake I have been doing these days, when I didn't get what I wanted , I lashed out on everyone around me throught my violents words I got what I wanted but I lost the satisfaction of getting what I wanted . Instead what I should have done is , I should have asked the people around me to help me get this thing I have always wanted . Then again, desiring materialistic things itself is a sin 😅

    • @deadbutdope
      @deadbutdope  Місяць тому +1

Materialistic desires are not sin but greed and excessive obsession to it is not good for us. Our world must not depend on it completely as then it becomes attachment and expectations. And when expectations are not fulfilled and one is unable to detach from it, frustration arises. Like you already mentioned, one starts getting angered, chaos arises and the whole cycle continues.
Just like you are able to recognise your patterns and introspect on your actions, if we have the will we can remain calm, fulfilled and peaceful.

Is Folks Always Want To Address The Affect/Effect, Though Never The Cause.
Folks Want A Cop Out, To NOT Do Anything, And Instead Place The Onus On The Victims, And Never The Perpetrators.
There Is Going To Come A Time When That WILL Become A Weak And BS Argument.

Bhagvat Geeta knowledge is divine, I too have read it many times but what I have understood is to survive in this world you need to become a monster, its no longer a choice now but a requirement. What most people don't know is Lord Krishna himself accepted the fact after the war of Mahabharta in front of bhishma when he was on bed of arrows that in front of the unrighteous and evil beings, you need to become a bigger monster for the protection of dharma, if Krishna himself didnot follow the unrighteous ways for winning the war, the world would have been destroyed by the evil. He futher said Ravan was devotee of lord shiva and didn't break any rules of war, so I gave him many chances and didn't follow wrong ways for war at that time but now the enemy was different. Krishna further said that in Kaliyug when darkness will be everywhere people will have to become greater then evil to keep evil under control otherwise the wrold will become hell to live in.
You can see in your surroundings, people today come in your life, do a great loss in your life and then say on your face "ja jo karna hai kar le, muje kisi ka darr nhi"
To keep such evil people under check, you need to become a monster. But care needs to be taken to not harm the innocent ones.
