I've lost audio streaming function after phones (Samsung A23 and A54) software upgrade. Car radio was just "connecting", but with no effect. I've found solution - change Bluetooth AVRCP version from default 1.5 to oldest version 1.3. It's in phone's programmistic options(development mode has to be enabled).
Can you share how to make that change? I bought a 2013 rav 4 last month and I can’t get the Bluetooth to stream music with my phone and I bet that your solution may help mine.
Michael Pannone Oh I am very sad!! I just got my 2013 Rav in March and this wasn't a regular problem until a month ago, now it happens all the time and I too have a BBZ10. My manual says there should be setting to change the initiation of the audio for bluetooth from Vehicle to App...however that option is not on my display so I am in the processes of trying to get someone to help me figure out if its available. I will really not be happy if the iPhone is only device the system functions properly with as I DO NOT want an iPhone :(
It's been my experience (2013 Rav4 Limited) that Toyota is cutting massive corners on their Tech packages. Mine is clumsily designed, slow and inaccurate. Check out Ford, Hyundai and other manufacturers of a similar strata. Those technologies are smoother and superior. You get way more for your money. In addition, the cheap interior integrity issues are just unforgivable for a 31k car. I have 4 separate, intermittent rattles/noises. These started at 1k miles. To sum it up: Toyota motor and transmission run great. Paint, interior and technology are a POS.
I have the 2014 Rav4 XLE with No-NAV. I just posted a video but not seeing it. Every so many months, it will go into rebooting the 1st 2-Screens. I eventually press the 'continue' and I get the radio opt's display and radio return redisplaying the 1st 2-Screen. Toyota installed a NEW radio and later this same thing started again. Toyota Brags about their Entune Radio but it does not function well. They should do a RECALL. Reading other reviews elsewhere comment made that the NAV Map is by Tom Tom. My portable TomTom is not that great. I use now my GPS from my Samsung G4. OH...my cell phone sometimes won't Disconnect from the radio and I have to restart my cell phone to receive or make a call.
ha ha . what is the problem? it is doing what it should be doing. You need to turn off audio ( Audio 0ff ) ( push down the power button )mode or change to a radio station. If it start up on the Bluetooth audio mode. It will always connect to the phone to play it. To play the song you last had playing. It is programmed to do that. Just like when you turn on a app that need the internet. it will try to turn it on. In that case it has to give you a warning first BT does not need the warning to display. All the apps ( including the BT audio ) is just a independent java app. If you look at the bT pairing list as it is starting ( with or without BT Audio on ) it will always start with the music on. ( it should be labeled as " Audio " not music. Because it is needed for BT Phone usage The internet is the only one not turned on with any connected BT device..

Спасибо большое Друг ! Помогло !
Hey, I have the same problem with Toyota Avensis and Nokia Lumia. Did you figure out how to solve this?
No I did not. I will say that I switched from the BB Z10 to iPhone 5 and no longer have this problem.
