The white is bad the pink eye lid is good just so you know. ❤ white is like lost of blood etc. Same thing with you dogs gums white is bad pink and red is good.

Also you can give loose pre and pro biotics and dairy minerals free choice in the pen. They'll take it as they need it. I always have it available for my 50 goats.

Goat scours have many causes. Start them on electrolytes as soon as you see it for dehydration. You are the best pet parents getting him to vet right away to determine cause and treatment. Hopefully nothing that gets passed around. Get well soon Spruce! ❤

I’m a spruce lover and I’m worried about him. That’s so weird for him to be the only one that’s sick. Hopefully it’s nothing. I’ve been meaning to tell you andyour Dad ( Ralph ) that it’s totally not necessary to tear the hay apart. It’s a waist of your precious time to do that. Just pack it in there and they all will be just fine. Pluse you’ll be able to get more in there. I started writing this before the results of the vet diagnosis. So happy to hear that Spruce is fine. The new building is looking great. So glad you got some help. Happy Fall and cooler weather. I’m better in cooler weather as well. YAY !!!🪅🎃
I’ve been meaning to ask this question for a while, How often do you guys clean out all the old hay and poo from the pens ??? I think you’ve showed us once, that’s in the whole Time of filming. I would hope often because of the dog poop mainly, because it would be the stinkiest and the urine from ALL the animals. I would just like to know. I’m very curious by nature.

Hello Shannon and Kyle..beautiful coop there. Noooo not my sprucers being ill. I miss the old spruce always talking to us. Any who had the surgery still didn't settle my mini strokes so more testing but surgery went well I been resting not allowed to do anything include walking up and down steps no lifting nothing. Thanks for the prayers guys I love you

It's raining here in Central Kansas right now. Hope you guys get some rain soon.
I am happy things seem to be alright with Spruce. I wonder if tile would be the best thing for the chicken coop? I know Grandpa had problems with the birds ripping up the linoleum. I bet they have texted tiles for around pools or showers. Easy to clean. I was just wondering. You could buy remnants or left over from jobs because you do not need a lot. I think that would make it not so expensive. Color does not matter. it just matters that the tile is all the same thickness, so it all lays flat. Make real close grout lines so it will be easy to keep them clean.
I know you have done what could be for the Spruce. He is very lucky to have such observant caretakers. ❤❤

Spruce will forgive easier and sooner than you think. For all his antics he's a smart goat, and you two are who feeds him.
Spruce will pass the bug shortly and then he will make up for his few days of being off. Yes goat are very tricky when it comes to the health. Tell Spruce to stay away from those bad leaves.

So sorry Spruce was sick, seems like you guys were on top of it and caught it quickly. Prayers that he continues to get completely well. I wanted to offer a helpful hint when trying to drench, go in kinda from the side, more toward the back of his cheek, sometimes that helps with them chewing on the drenching gun, or syringe. This granny got good at drenching after our grandaughter moved in with us. She showed goats in 4H and FFA. Papa and i learned a whole lot, so we could give her a helping hand, or 4, LOL. Fair times were a little crazy and lots of work, incolved drenching, and bathing, and clipping, and i got the drench job a lot. Wish i could jump in and show you, what i tried to explain, i hope it made sense. Well kids, will keep you and Spruce in prayer. Love you guys!!❤❤

Guys your doing great with all those goats like you said you have to keep a close eye on them because they can go downhill so quickly I have 4 goats 3 that are wethered and a doeling and it keeps me on my toes with them and you have triple then I do but kuddos for you 2 for such great animal owners so glad to see Shannon back home FT too ❤
