My dachshund can stay in the same position all night when he knows a mouse is hiding behind something in my house. And he would get it and kill it so fast, without playing with it like most cats do. He's in this sniper mode when a mouse is in his radar, and can change drastically into such a dumb cutie afterwards. He's so useful and such a loveable pet.
Most people are unaware of this but dachshunds are the most fearless and aggressive of all the hound breeds. Although they look cute and comical, the nature of this breed is fearless. I have had three and the oldest one was a very predatory dog. She killed chickens, turkeys, lambs, squirrels and birds and tried to go after peacocks. some of our larger animals were able to stand their ground. Regardless of her crazy fearless nature I loved that dog. She lived to be 18 and managed to misbehave almost daily. My kids loved her.. She was the only dog I ever knew to steal a turkey carcass out of the trash and run to her crate with it. RIP Wiener.
No doubt!! My long hair met her fate chasing stray cats at 13yrs old!! Damn hips would drop her from time to time and the last time was chasing them cats back across the street!! That crazy dog will never be forgotten!!
Have a dachshund, can verify. She doesn't seem to know she is small and would absolutely take on a bear if she thought it would threaten "her" (my) kids.
My dachshund killed three wild chickens by herself. It was crazy, I never knew they were such good hunters and knew how to defend themselves. That's why I kept her away from danger or any other wild animals, but seeing this was shocking.
My Tisha lived to be 21 and was a hunter. Ate a corner of my drywall out to climb up into it and pulled a big rat out. They were clearing woods nearby to build houses and the wild life was heading our way. One day a rat came running across the floor. I didn't think she could get it before the rat ran under the couch but she took off anyway. She slid to a stop before she hit the couch. I knew she missed...until she started shaking her head. She'd caught the rat! Taboo..Boo Boo I called her (In my picture on the left) wasn't 10 pound even but she could give rats, snakes and birds a run for their money. Killed a snake in the house, a bird that flew out of the chimney and one day I was out back by the deck and she was barking within a few feet of me under the deck. I bent down and didn't see anything. I just thought maybe a mouse. I stood back up and continued to talk to my grown kids. We walked around to the front and sat on the porch. Boo Boo came around and wanted into the house. I told my daughter to let her in. Then Boo Boo wanted out. My daughter let her out and she came to me and I saw her face was swollen and a distressed look in her eyes. I thought she had a stick stuck in her mouth so I looked. Nothing. Then I noticed two tiny holes and liquid. I jumped into the car and rushed her 20 miles to the vet to save her life. I realized she got between me and a copperhead (about the only poisonous snake we have in our yard). I have a bad heart and if I'd been bit....She lived to be 14 and died in my arms of cancer. I tried to save her through surgery but it got into her spine. RIP my babies.
kwgrid Tisha never ran across chickens or snake. But she did a big rat that came out of the woods nearby that were being cleaned out to make room to build new homes. Taboo attacked snakes and I had to rush her to the vet for a copperhead bite. She still would attack them. She went after my daughter's chickens but thank goodness they were in a pen so Taboo couldn't get to them. I can't think of a thing she wouldn't go after.
I just love a Dachshund's stubbornness. There's nothing quite like watching them waiting for hours for their prey to return. They are so patient...but God forbid you'd take more than a nanosecond to get them their food!
Never had a dog as focused as my Buddy. Perfectly engineered for the job they were designed to do. Watching Bud dig gives you a whole new level of awesome--like an auger! Part tank, part torpedo, part auger.
I've never liked small dogs, but when my husband and I moved in together, he let me get a cat, so we got the dog he wanted, a mini doxie. I have to say this is probably the best dog I've ever had. He's loyal and smart and protective, but doesn't guard. His bark is louder than it should be, but he'd never bite anyone, and he's just the best! I never want another dog. If we do ever get another, it's gonna be another doxie! Best dogs ever!!!!!!! ♥♥♥
+Savi Collins I caution you to protect your dog's spinal column. They are prone to orthopedic disease. Limit their jumping and always hold them properly. The dachshund is the greatest dog ever!
That is a real example of Doxie patience for you... I have a doxie that has been of great help in battling an ongoing rodent problem in our house. She has the patience of a rock, she will sit for HOURS staring at the spot the Mole or mouse is hiding in the wall or behind the furniture, and makes sure we know about it so we can put down a trap or flush it out for her. Doxies are incredible hunters, and truly fearless in this role. Even when they are the household lapdog their killer instincts are always just a blink away hiding behind those adorable disarmingly cute eyes and just behind that long narrow nose lie two rows of needle sharp teeth, the bane of anything that lives in a hole.
My mini dachshund was like that when I was young. He was just a house pet, not trained to hunt or kill at all, but when he smelled a groundhog in the yard, he became an entirely different animal. Oddly, he had no prey drive when it came to mice or squirrels, but when he smelled a burrowing animal, his instincts kicked in and there was absolutely no settling him down until he got the creature in his mouth. You could see it in the way he played indoors, too. His favorite game was to bury a tennis ball (his favorite toy) under a blanket, and then thrash the blanket around until the ball rolled out, and then go shake the ball around. We had to give him a constant supply of cheap blankets and towels, or this game would cost us a lot of expensive covers and curtains and rugs.
+D3mang3l years ago, when I was a kid, my Mom and older brother were watching the late movie and thought they saw something and sure enough it was a mouse, ( this was early 60s and haven't had one since) they were pulling out furniture from the wall when it came out and tried to jump behind my Moms Hammond organ when my doxie ran up and caught it in mid air, killed it and dropped it and my brother said went and got a drink of water. I think she got some good treats the next day. She was a great dog and great pet
Indeed. Small, adorable dogs indoors but vicious hunters outside with amazing set of teeth considering their size. Whenever mine plays with toys he wants to annihilate them and he likes it when we hide the toys under blankets so he can burrow and dig them out. But still he is such a lovable and loving dog, stubborn and self centered but still loving. Best breed ever. 👍
Dachshunds are the smallest hound breed and yes, they are quite tempermentally capable of killing small game; it's precisely this attitude that makes them such a delightful companion animal. It's amazing how they can be so patient and also have the sense to be downwind.
Finally! An owner who has some common sense. That is is exactly what I have been trying to tell people on here. Good to see someone who hunts and competes responsibly with their dogs. :)
Going to just applaud you here for having Dachshunds that are actually healthy weight and not just fat sausages for once. So many people stereotype Dachshunds as being these meaty, chunky sausages when in reality their ideal weight and body shape should actually be exactly that of your dogs. Good job on keeping HEALTHY weight dogs. Especially for a breed that is notoriously seen with excess weight more often than not.
Mine looks overweight til you pick him up. I use a wheelchair to get around and he decided he wanted to be my tractor dog. He's solid muscle. I use medium size dog leashes and he breaks them! He's amazing. Best, most loyal, smartest dog ever!
My dachshund, Lulu, has caught two birds right out of the air. She jumped off of our slightly elevated patio and just plucked them right out of the frickin air as they swooped down. This was two separate occasions btw. She's amazing.
Hah, my old, now dead (RIP Eetu) doxie used to hunt Fieldfare birds too, young and stupid ones mostly. During hot summer days we kept our front door open and Fieldfares kept eating berries from our bushes and jumping on ground. Our doxie would lay low at the front of door waiting for the right moment and then run like a bullet and catch a bird midflight. But eventually the grown up birds wisened up and started to divebomb him whenever they saw him. He was such a sorry sight at the times, with bird poop dripping down from forehead. 😂
Watched my old cat reach a paw up -never leaving his Sphinx pose- and pull one right out of the air as it was leaving a bush. Never a dog, tho. Sooo glad our squirrels take the fence instead of the lawn or Bud would have gotten one by now.
Loved this video! I've had my Henry for almost 4yrs and he's an amazing dog and comapnion. It's good to remember that they were originally bred to hunt and kill small game and still can!
Reminds me of what you see on an African Wildlife Documentary. My Dachshund used to do this sort of thing all the time it was amazing to watch the instincts and process of the hunt in my own backyard or in the fields behind my house as a kid. I think the only difference is my dog would have attempted to dig the ground squirrel out first before waiting and stalking but every time it was the drama of nature unfolding. Dachshunds are hunting dogs at their core and that is what they were breed to do. Awesome music and beautiful dogs glad to see healthy fit Dachshunds.
My dad's friend is a hunter. He told us when asked about badger hunting, as what it was like, and what sort of dogs did he use, he said that it's rather intense most of the time. You know you care a lot about your dog, and when you send one into a tunnel that's inhabited by a vicious badger, you can only hope your dog comes back too. At times, when they'd return with the dead badger in their mouths, he'd have to sew his dogs cheeks together with a Stabler when they were torn open by the badgers.
Hunters in Africa had Dachshunds of all things. I found out why when they showed what Honey Badgers are like. They're even smarter and tougher than badgers. You don't hunt them - you hope they don't hunt you. The Dachshunds being absolutely fearless were the only ones who would take them on.
CajunKhan There's a hilarious video of a Dachs jumping off a kayak into the ocean to chase a *whale*. No hesitation, whale surfaces, boom in the water!
There is another video where a dachshund sets of chasing a pair of rhinoceros. They are one of the fiercest breeds. Fearless, stubborn and independent. If they were the size of a dobermann (and you can clearly se the relationship) they would be absolutely terrifying animals. (Not sayin' dobermanns aren't) There are several reasons they were bred to be small, one of them is that if a big dog had the temperament of a dachshund, they would be too dangerous to have around people and livestock.
My dachshund used to do those things, hunt down wildlife. He doesn’t do that anymore, he’s 18 years old and has retired from all that action. I got him for my 9th birthday in 2004 and I was extremely surprised to walk in and see a baby dachshund running around the kitchen. I am 27 years old now and I am so happy and lucky to have my dachshund in my life these past 18 years.
Good Girl! My Missy has a high body count of squirrels, rabbits, field mice, rats. She is a Black and Tan, Longhaired mini D. Fast as lightning and mercy less. Such strong instincts to hunt without training. Impressive. R.I.P. Molly the Red D. Sweetest Dog without the instinct. She was a precious gem. My Friend.
On the grass lands we come upon a pair of Dackelsaurus Rex who have chased a small prey animal to it's lair. It's gone to ground but the Dackelsaurus Rexes are patient. They circle it's hide and then move off a distance. One hunkers down near the hide and waits. The other moves off out of sight. Have they done this before? Minutes pass and the Dackelsaurs wait. They are confident if they wait long enough they can make their prey lose it nerve and make a run for it. The prey sticks it's head out of it hide and carefully observes the Dackelsaurus near it. It's taken in by their short legs. It thinks perhaps they are slow and they are scavengers. It starts to think it can easily outrun them. But will it? More time goes by. Finally the small prey animals can take no more of the waiting and it decides to make it's run. It's off, with a Rex hot on it's trail! The creature heads towards the tall grass, hoping to lose the swiftly trailing Dackelsaurus Rex in it. But little does it know that's where the second Dackelsaurus Rex is hiding, waiting for it to make it's run. They *have* done this before. The Dackelsaurus' head pops up and it's teeth come down, closing around the body of the prey. As the first Dackelsaurus Rex comes running over to the scene of the capture, the second Dackelsaurus gives the captured creature a brutal shake, snapping it's neck and it's all over. The Dackelsaurus Rexes have triumphed once again.
Awesome!! I once ran into an old farmer way outback here in Australia who told me the best snake dog he ever had was a dachshund.......I believe him they're ferocious little hunters. Looking to buy one myself now but having trouble sourcing a true hunting dog......they all seem to be bred for show etc. but I guess they all have that instinct. Great video. Great little dogs!!
Wow. These dogs are the best breed I have owned as far as loyalty and dedication and determination. Brilliant awesome dogs and If trained properly are fearless little dudes.
LMAO! I love Doxies! These guys are too damn cute - silly, hardheaded dang critters! Love watching 'em hunt & be viscoius, determined - damn food vacuums.
Mine is a female rescue, vet thinks she's somewhere's about 16, loves to chase off grub eating armadillos from the backyard, you wouldn't believe how fast those prehistoric- looking critters can run until a Doxie puts the move on 'em.☺
We had a dachshund when I was a boy, and she had some incredible hunting instincts. She loved go after burrowing animals whether they be rabbits, mice, prairie dogs, etc...she would dig until she got them! The dogs in this video looked just like her. Thanks for bringing back those memories.
They’re excellent hunters. When one of our mini doxies was just 10 weeks old, she dashed into a firewood stack, killed a mouse, and laid it at my feet...so proud of herself!
Y’all, dachshunds May be small and cute, but they hella brave and strong! I have a baby dachshund who is a year old and caught a bird, a rat and a squirrel! We are lucky to have these amazing cute doggos! #dachshund ♥️🐶
Love Dachsies, originally bred to hunt badgers, follow them into their burrows and chase them out so they could be dispatched with a sword or spear (pre gun days). A badger will chase a black bear out of its den, so a dachsie was bred to be fearless. The modern ones are smaller but still pretty much fearless. Perfect apartment dogs their bark makes them sound bigger than they are.
I had a dachshund that was the goddamn Snail Terminator. She'd spend most of her time in the backyard running around between bushes and among the flowerbeds, hunting for snails. She did not actually EAT them, but rather just crunched them once and spit them back out. We never had any snail problems when she was around.
That is so funny to watch my dachshund Willow shakes her monkey toy like that and I always thought she loved it but now I see she's trying to kill it LOL
I'd trapped a rat in the attic. I was going downstairs to take it outside & release for the Dachshunds to chase but Buddy took a flying leap off the top stair, landed on the trap, knocked it out of my hand & me down the stairs. People, that dog attackted that trap & got the rat out to kill it on the spot.
I've got two Dachsunds (a long hair and a short hair. Between the two of them they've managed to kill every ground animal on my property in addition to a couple of birds (I have no idea how Ralph, the short haired, managed that). They are fearless to a fault and incredibley faithful. I've watched my boys take off to chase a herd of cows. We owned a few breeds of dogs, while I was growing up and Doxies are still my favorite.
One of my mini Daxies raids rats nests and brings me live babies to look after : / she is very gentle with them. She was raised with my pet rats and loved to play with them. One of my rats and this Dachshund use to play for hours, running around my house, up and down the stairs, both would come running when i would shake the treat tin. Out and about down the fields, she loves nothing better than a good rabbit/deer chase, full on hound yodel and not a hope in hell of catching one, but a good run for all concerned.
Awesome! So he stands there, waitinng for 30 min? I know they are hunters, but never tought that they can be so determined. This datch have excelente instincts!
We had three mini dachshunds that looked adorable but hunted like a pack. They took down a goat that wandered onto our property. My level of respect increased but in the back of my mind, I kept telling myself never ever fall down and be unable to get up!!! Vicious and courageous hunters!
My youngest dachshund can cover nearly 100ft across my backyard, before a bird can take flight, and snatch it out of the air. He can also jump nearly 4ft and run about 7ft up trees after squirrels. His first mission in the mornings, go on to the back patio and scan for targets, lock on and take it out.
Yep! That's what they do! Doxies are the bomb! My Tilde killed a possum bigger than her (not saying that was necessarily a good idea, but she was defending her back yard) and was tenacious when going after moles. :)
One of my favorite videos on UA-cam. And about the dogs weight: I have owned or been around purebred dachshunds all my life. These are young active dogs and weigh just what they are supposed to. These dogs will eat whatever you feed them and to over feed and cause these dogs to become overweight is one of the cruelest things you can do. They will become more susceptible to back problems.
He reminds me of my first basset hound, Rappunzel (the Bonehead). She was quite the hunter. When we had to put her on a diet, she would go get herself fat juicy rats for between meal snacks. Not one rat ever made it into our house because of her. I really miss that precious hound.
Extraordinary!!! These VDOs should be widely spread to get people understand: dachshunds ARE hunters not lapdogs. It makes my heart sing - I love these awesome creatures. Afterall they are " Made in Germany".😊❤
lol, i had to giggle a bit when the doxie was shaking the rodent........ my two mini doxies do the same thing when they catch a rodent....... plus they are totally fearless, doesnt matter if its rodent or deer, they want to go after whatever it is......
I remember mine chasing a rabbit and almost got what she wanted: a snack. She lost because one, my mom stopped her and two, she got her belly scratched. Shes 16 now and she still runs like a pupoy. She keeps on hunting even if she gets scars that brave girl.
Mine have killed SO many birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. One of mine also kept wrestling around w/ a huge groundhog twice her size. People have no idea how much dachshunds love killing but they were actually bred to find & crawl into badger holes for hunters in Germany! Dachshund actually even translates into "badger dog" =) I hate watching animals die but you gotta respect the lil buggers bc they're an extremely smart and dedicated breed~
Beautiful built doxies!! Truly tell they were bred to work! My guys caught a duck and squirrel and almost a rabbit. Ppl need to stop crying and saying poor animal.. its the circle of life and dogs weren't just to be companions. They were bred to put food on our plates and theirs and they love doing it. If it wasn't for dogs we wouldn't me civilized.. Look at dog history it's amazing. Doxies are of of the toughest dogs. Love the herding dogs too. I encourage their natural abilities but in a handled environment and do sports with my doxies, and border collies (:
My dachshund can stay in the same position all night when he knows a mouse is hiding behind something in my house. And he would get it and kill it so fast, without playing with it like most cats do. He's in this sniper mode when a mouse is in his radar, and can change drastically into such a dumb cutie afterwards. He's so useful and such a loveable pet.

That's how doxies roll!
He sounds like a good boy!
Mine also.Has patience like a cat.
Yes once I showed mine a dead rat he will always know the smell of a live one.
Most people are unaware of this but dachshunds are the most fearless and aggressive of all the hound breeds. Although they look cute and comical, the nature of this breed is fearless. +morris4069 My wiener would literally chase airplanes 10,000 feet in the air
mine lived for 16 years and were able to stand against rottweilers and made em step back!
The rat would have been safe if that yellow force field hadn't disappeared
Hahaha, this made my day.
That's why I always buy the blue force fields. My dad always tells me that I'm over paying but, at the end of the day you get what you pay for.
I just died laugjing. You're hilarious!!!
Matt Collins. Nearly wet myself laughing. Brilliant 😁😁😁
Outstanding
The only dog that can brutally murder another animal and look adorable while doing it...
+Matthew Cuellar well, my opinion is the only good rat is a dead rat!
Mine would always eat the head of everything she killed, leave the rest to age for snacks later if you didn't find it!!
usually they kill it and drop it! Mine did!
Mine attacks the mail man and any other person that walks by she's like a miniature blood hound
My bachhound is crazy he likes eiting a fly!!!

But eventually the grown up birds wisened up and started to divebomb him whenever they saw him. He was such a sorry sight at the times, with bird poop dripping down from forehead. 😂
+Who am I Really Bet the hawk won't do that again.
Awesome music and beautiful dogs glad to see healthy fit Dachshunds.
dude he shakes his head so fucking fast lmaooo
I whip my head back and forth
Dachs are incredibly aggressive for tiny creatures shaped like they belong on a bun with mustard.
CajunKhan
There's a hilarious video of a Dachs jumping off a kayak into the ocean to chase a *whale*. No hesitation, whale surfaces, boom in the water!
NOT!!!
There is another video where a dachshund sets of chasing a pair of rhinoceros. They are one of the fiercest breeds. Fearless, stubborn and independent. If they were the size of a dobermann (and you can clearly se the relationship) they would be absolutely terrifying animals. (Not sayin' dobermanns aren't)
There are several reasons they were bred to be small, one of them is that if a big dog had the temperament of a dachshund, they would be too dangerous to have around people and livestock.
Ours is almost 4. Had her since 8 weeks old. They really are special.

They are
Mine just passed away due to old age.
After the killing looking back to the owner like “is that what you wanted?”
Brutal head shake.
The way he was shaking the shit out of that rat reminded me of my Jack Russell I had when I was younger. Great rodent dogs.
Why do people dislike this? Its literally what the dog was meant to do it couldn't be any happier
wow he is so patient
For dogs that bounce around & destroy anything in their way when you rattle a bag filled with treats, yes, they are patient dogs.

B******, I WAS MADE TO KILL HONEY BADGERS.
Also, nice puppies.
"Krikey! 'e's GORgeous ,inin't 'e?"
Good play by play analysis 👏
Woof!Woof! Grrrrrrrr (translation) I loved this! ❤️
Two paws up! 🐾
Nice editing! And cute dogs :)
I've got a miniature dachsund myself. She's getting to be pretty old, but she can still find and dig up moles like an expert.
Mine were bred for show yet the killer instinct is there. They killed anything that ventured into our yard.
I miss my Ginger so much, we had her for 10 yrs . she was 2 when we got her. Sadly she passed away 2014, such a sweet loving baby.
You and me both! I miss my sweet Peaches! I had her for 16 years, but that still wasn't enough time! This September was one year I lost her! 😢
Wow! Patiently,he waits. And the music is perfect for this. Awesome!!!🐕
This reminded me one time my dochsund missy (she is a girl) killed a rat I saw her chase the rat and killed it I told my dad he was impressed
AlyssaCanSmile I had a dochsund that chewed up two baby possums in front of me.
I appreciate this video. We had dachshunds as pets but I've never seen them do what they were bred to do.
This should be in a purina dog commercial
My silly hound loves chasing squirrels. He is SO proud of himself when he catches them.
Mine is a female rescue, vet thinks she's somewhere's about 16, loves to chase off grub eating armadillos from the backyard, you wouldn't believe how fast those prehistoric- looking critters can run until a Doxie puts the move on 'em.☺
I'm dieing laughing!!!! 😆👏🏻😆👏🏻😆👏🏻
We had a dachshund when I was a boy, and she had some incredible hunting instincts. She loved go after burrowing animals whether they be rabbits, mice, prairie dogs, etc...she would dig until she got them! The dogs in this video looked just like her. Thanks for bringing back those memories.
I LOVE your music choice! Good job with the hunt little one.
They’re excellent hunters. When one of our mini doxies was just 10 weeks old, she dashed into a firewood stack, killed a mouse, and laid it at my feet...so proud of herself!
Lol. That dog is so smart. Patience paid off.
Y’all, dachshunds May be small and cute, but they hella brave and strong! I have a baby dachshund who is a year old and caught a bird, a rat and a squirrel! We are lucky to have these amazing cute doggos! #dachshund ♥️🐶
Love it. One year we had a lot of mole damage in our yard and our Dachshund killed five in one summer and haven't seen one since.
My weenier dog caught his first mouse yesterday.very proud of him haha
I'd trapped a rat in the attic.
I was going downstairs to take it outside & release for the Dachshunds to chase but Buddy took a flying leap off the top stair, landed on the trap, knocked it out of my hand & me down the stairs.
People, that dog attackted that trap & got the rat out to kill it on the spot.
Most adorable kill EVER!
That's what they were bred to be and to do. I loved every minute I had with my doxies 😘❤️. They always had a big yard to play and hunt in.
our dachshund "Cookie" is our cute little baby but when it comes to mice and young blackbirds (european) she shows no mercy
A dachshund the size of a golden retriever would rule the entire world in 5 years
One of my mini Daxies raids rats nests and brings me live babies to look after : / she is very gentle with them.
I love this video! My dog used to do this in may garden with BIRDS! He junped so high! I used to stay hided for hours
Awesome! So he stands there, waitinng for 30 min? I know they are hunters, but never tought that they can be so determined. This datch have excelente instincts!
The BEST DOG EVER ! We had more than a few and LOVED every one ! The best friend one could ever find!
We had three mini dachshunds that looked adorable but hunted like a pack. They took down a goat that wandered onto our property. My level of respect increased but in the back of my mind, I kept telling myself never ever fall down and be unable to get up!!! Vicious and courageous hunters!
Awesome video!!! The end though!
2 paws up! :) 🐾
super video!
Yep! That's what they do! Doxies are the bomb! My Tilde killed a possum bigger than her (not saying that was necessarily a good idea, but she was defending her back yard) and was tenacious when going after moles. :)
That mutt is a sniper!!...great music selection...you must have had fun putting that together....good job!
I really enjoy watching dogs do what they were bred to do. Good job little dog!!
He reminds me of my first basset hound, Rappunzel (the Bonehead). She was quite the hunter. When we had to put her on a diet, she would go get herself fat juicy rats for between meal snacks. Not one rat ever made it into our house because of her. I really miss that precious hound.
yes!!!!!!!!!! most underrated killer in the world... the sausage, no retreat no surrender
My Dachshund does the same thing with his toys flipping them back and forth like that when he grabs them. It's instinct, not training.
Extraordinary!!! These VDOs should be widely spread to get people understand: dachshunds ARE hunters not lapdogs. It makes my heart sing - I love these awesome creatures. Afterall they are " Made in Germany".😊❤
My dog did that to a rabbit once, brought the damn thing in the house. At least we have new pelt out if it.
Bobby Mucka why no eat
dachshunds are Great little Hunters...mine is now almost 17 years old and has earned the title 'Squirrel Slayer' ...many have fallen to him.
I love dachsunds there my favorite dogs IV had one that dies now I have one and I'm getting another one
I love dashund too, I have a very cute dashund :3!
they also look the cutest!
Wow, your doxies are amazing and fearless.. whereas mine can't even last 10 seconds away from me. Haha! Love her so freaking much still!!!
That's how you dispose of a rodent dachshund style!
This never gets old ❤gremlin weenie dogs!
lol, i had to giggle a bit when the doxie was shaking the rodent........ my two mini doxies do the same thing when they catch a rodent....... plus they are totally fearless, doesnt matter if its rodent or deer, they want to go after whatever it is......
+DLYskes1976 They can be fearless to the point of recklessness. :)
Then he looks to the Alpha at the end for approval. I hope you gave it. This was awesome.
D'aww who's a good boy?
I remember mine chasing a rabbit and almost got what she wanted: a snack. She lost because one, my mom stopped her and two, she got her belly scratched. Shes 16 now and she still runs like a pupoy. She keeps on hunting even if she gets scars that brave girl.
O_O That's terrifying.
i love this video! i love dachshund!
dachshunds is better for the dogs in the hunting of small animals (hen,rabbit,mouse,badger....)
LOL That fellow is DEDICATED! Awesome video!
awesome kill
Mine have killed SO many birds, chipmunks, squirrels, etc. One of mine also kept wrestling around w/ a huge groundhog twice her size. People have no idea how much dachshunds love killing but they were actually bred to find & crawl into badger holes for hunters in Germany! Dachshund actually even translates into "badger dog" =)
I hate watching animals die but you gotta respect the lil buggers bc they're an extremely smart and dedicated breed~
I encourage their natural abilities but in a handled environment and do sports with my doxies, and border collies (:
doxiecollie3 Beautifully said!!!
Some one with common sense when it comes to dogs nice to see these days
I have a dachhund.his name is REGAL.
I LOVE ALL DACHHUNDS💟💟💟💟💟💟💟
