You do such beautiful, and loose work! I totally love the green, purple, and reddish color schemes you used in most of all of the alleyway and piazza drawings. I would love if you would make a video on how to use the fountain pen you use with the fuede nib. I purchased one and am struggling with the thickness of the lines. I am familiar with using a lamy safari fine nib fountain pen .
One thing I do with my ink drawings is only choose 3 colors. Or only paint the the back ground. Some times i like the challenge of "Plopping" down some slashes of color, let it dry and then sketch over the splashes. It is a nice effect. I then go back and add a few details with color. Makes a very nice loose color effect to a drawing.
Your sketches are beautiful, and I really love the long vertical ones. What a fantastic book!
Your journal's are a colourful insight to some of these wonderful places you visit with the urban sketchers, every one so informative. I love the way you paint water, mabe you could do a little demo on how you paint it. 😊
Love your style! When you do negative painting do you draw first with pencil?

This was a lot of fun to watch. So many impressive things! I liked the balcony, so intricate, I can't imagine trying to do that. I liked the tall views, the wide views, the distant views, the distorted things. It really looked like you had a very good time. I am glad you didn't have a green marker, I like the way the yellow & blue worked together. I hope you have a great time in Amsterdam!
If you run out of ideas after you get back, I am hoping you buy some new colors that need swatching, I'd love to see you swatching a few. You are the only one I have seen, that even your swatches are pretty. :D

Wow!! I was blown away by the street view with the flags. And also found the one with evening glowing light shortly after to be lovely. And the purpleish stairs with cooler shadows and wires (just after the black and white value study) is beautiful! I love your work!
