Are you looking for a way to turn off the end of cycle melody / tune on your front-load Samsung washer or dryer?
Some models permit it, and some do not. Please follow the simple steps in this video to try for yourself!
Note: The washer that doesn't appear to allow turning off the sound is model: Samsung WW90T684ALE
The dryer that allows tune to be deactivated and shown in this video is: Samsung DV90T6240LE

If you press once or press and hold less than 3 seconds you get one menu. Hold longer than 3 seconds you get a second menu. My washer has the alarm setting in the second menu.

Thank You! I hadn't realised there was a second menu. We've only had the washing machine in use for just over a week and we already hate the tune 😂. This video is perfect - short and to the point (once I realised holding the button for 3 seconds is key)

Thank you, it did work on my washing machine that looks like your panel, I pressed the hand icon and held it for 3 seconds as you said and found an additional menu where by turning the main knob I found alarm which said press the circle underneath to turn the sound on or off at the end of the cycle, I turned it to off Yay! The sounds are there otherwise just not the annoying song at the end of a cycle (very annoying when timed to finish very early morning) 👍😊

It worked on my washing machine too. I think there are two menus and it was the second one. Maybe press twice instead of holding for three seconds.

I couldn't find this in the manual, so obvious option but really hard to find! If you push that button you get to the current cycle options, if you hold for the 3 sec you get to the main options. Takes effort to find out

HELP!! - So, I am among the minority and look for the notifications to let me know when the dryer is done - it also affects the audio notification on the SmartThings App. I have the DVE50A8600E, and the volume is very muted. I would greatly appreciate any help in finding out how to resolve this. I have chatted with Samsung, and there is no volume control - either off or on. I am thinking that maybe there is a "speaker" that is being blocked - but would like more information (location of the speaker, etc.) before pulling the whole machine out....
It works but the buttons still make sounds. Any way to turn all sounds off?

Mine does that sometimes. Must be en electrical fault. As I can’t turn it off on my washer I am hoping it will completely fail soon.

I have a WW90T554DAX/S1. There is no Alarm in the menu when pressing that button for 3 sec. What can I do? 🙀
Hold this button for 3sec+. It should go to second menu and there will be that option

lol On mine it literally says "Alarm - Currently not supported" I was only able to change the language, nothing else. It's a new washing machine, and so I was trying to save my boyfriend's sanity (he missed the installation, where I got to know the song). Well, I guess we're doomed.
And at least I know where to turn it off once they refresh the firmware or something.
My washer says the same!! I think it is from a slightly lower priced Samsung line (in my case) than the dryer so they don’t allow for that feature. Very sneaky.
Oh im happy my washer did have this option. I couldnt find it whilst I could on my dryer - hence after a few hours came acceptance... Thanks for the vid.

My washer doesn’t either… BUT a weird and wonderful thing has happened… over time the sound has started to fail… so most of the time you hardly hear it - it is just so quiet. Just hope the rest of the machine doesn’t also start to fail… 🤣

I bought this washer and dryer set for my wife about two years ago, without knowing it had this tune at the end of EVERY FRIKIN CYCLE. She will NOT let me turn it off and now I’m seriously considering taking a screwdriver to both ear drums to gain some sanity back 🙈 The machines run amazingly, love the way they operate. This is the one flaw that seems to have everything that could go wrong with a new washer and dryer at all wrapped up in one spot. It’s horrible. 2 years I’ve been listening to this tune guys… 2… years… 🫣
