Why the spring loaded bit? Nice touch painting behind the hardware, most people tend not to 👍🏻

hey Kieran, the spring loaded sheath over the actual drill bit makes sure the hole ends up exactly in the centre of the circle so that the hinges sit right where they should be and don't move 1-2mm either way when secured due to the hole being slightly to one side
