2:15 is why i always hit 4WD as soon as i hit dirt or sand, never know when it's going to get soft. i see/hear lots of people say "i only use it when i need to" but by then it can be too late. use 4WD to prevent getting stuck in the first place not as a recovery device.

I'm not commenting about this case but when I was on the island there was a guy trying Ngkala rocks at 42psi. I said to him you'll never get through with your tires pumped up so high. If you let the pressure down to 18psi you'll get through no trouble. He said I don't know how to do that. I rolled my eyes and showed him. He had a arb quick release pressure guage and never read the instructions. I showed him the steps to do it (very simple) and within 10mins he was through the pass. I even showed him how to pump up when he got back on the road. The guy was fully stocked with gear but no idea how to use it. The mind boggles how people make it in life.
Next time your stuck here, chuck your rescuer a couple of bucks, snatch straps have a life limit and if your too inexperienced to carry your own then you can give a little to the blokes who do fork out for their own gear.
Box or a bottle is always appreciated, some people don’t even say thanks and don’t appreciate you teaching them to lower their tyre pressure, I won’t even help dig anymore. People are willing to spend a couple of grand on insurance but not on reassurance.

how about people learn to drive offroad first? air your car down, lock your hubs and engage 4x4. That solves like 98% of the stuck problems on this channel. If the drivers went and ASKED people first instead of assuming they knew everything they wouldn't be stuck
No front wheel driving and then suddenly got 4Wd, and why don't they let there bloody tyres down, even go down to 8 to 10psi, but I bet they haven't got a air compressor.
They are special drivers that require 40 to 50psi to make sure they have ground clearance. Clearly the best part of some people stayed in the test tube.

There was a case in the NT, tourists flew into Darwin, rented a troopy, went bush, drove into a creek [dry sand] and got bogged . . . They spent days waiting for help to accidentally come their way . . . Someone turned-up and looked at the high front-end and buried rear - and engaged the hubs.

I love these videos. I went to Fraser 3 times in my wee '94 Pathfinder that only had a 2" lift and some good a/t's and I never got stuck. It amazes me the stupidity of the folk you film, some are just clearly u lucky but others like this one who don't engage 4wd or deflate the tyres are just idiots and shouldn't have their ferry pass revoked and told to go back to the black top.
The navara driver is a perfect example of someone who has no idea how his right works. Even once it got into 4wdrive, he had no idea about how to drive while being towed. Some people should just never leave the black top.

Anything slightly modified you don't really need to worry about it the same. These little rigs with stock tires though should be forsure.
