- The illegitimate son of Andrew Ryan and his mistress, Jack is the hero of the first BioShock. He’s smuggled out of Rapture in 1956, but returns in 1960 as a young adult thanks to ADAM’s ability to accelerate aging. It transpires that he’s been mentally conditioned by a man called Frank Fontaine to kill his father (responding to the phrase “Would you kindly?”). Jack kills Ryan under Fontaine’s influence, but the spell is broken by sympathizer Bridgette Tenenbaum. Jack, now acting on his own free will, hunts down and kills Fontaine - now completely transformed by ADAM - and escapes from Rapture.

The electric gel really saved me with this boss. Also, the bees help a lot if you have them. 🐝
Fontaine thinks he knows what “family” is, but I (or we) call rubbish on that.

I saved up all of my RPG ammo knowing that this boss fight would probably be hard

It must have been a good job kid
I actually really like the set up for this boss fight because i like to believe that fontain did love jack in his own twisted way which makes the story sadder seeing a son having to kill his own father
I know i'm late to the party, but the crossbow was indeed the easiest way to beat him. For some reason, he gives you enough to time to reload, yet he does not with other weapons. I started it by laying down mines, using the fire plasmid and rocking the crossbow. Too bad the ending was unspectacular...
I found that using trap arrows is possibly the fastest way to defeat him if you have your crossbow fully upgraded
Easiest way to kill him.
Raging people and hack security bots. This can make the battle even easier with them assisting you.
You can create allies, just make sure you inject the shot quickly or else some will target you.
Am I the only one who hears him saying “come and get it Luke”?

What came to tear Frank Fontaine apart one limb at a time was not Jack Ryan which was his expendable creation. It was The Protector. Peak of program meant to keep ADAM coming and moving around Rapture. Protectors keep Gatherers safe with ruthless efficiency and Frank Fontaine was very much threat to their safety.

@@RAMOBUS Before Jack can face Fontaine he must make himself a Protector by donning it's armor and making himself smell and sound like one.

Even without intending to be creepy they are. They are just so unsettling. Most likely even more so when Rapture had sane people left to recognize them.
This Boss Fight reminds me Could Be Call Of Duty Black Ops 5 Zombies Secret Easter Egg. I've can't imagine that
Still one of my favorite games. I played the remastered version and I always go for the good ending. Thanks for posting.
I found this boss fight glitchy, like controls would not work properly for some reason.
This game was so much better then the 2nd or 3rd...
I had the most fun with 2 but enjoyed the first ones story more. Infinite was good but not as great as I remember it being described back when it came out
