- As Kawasaki ramps up deliveries of their brand-new class of rolling stock for the New York City Subway, we now have the nineteenth official consist on the A line! The cars on this one are numbered 4240-4249.

Of the 19 R211 sets that are on property, only a maximum of 15 are used at any given time. The other 4 are either undergoing maintenance, or are doing testing elsewhere in the system. For example, a set is in Jamaica Yard for CBTC testing. There are 13 trains of 10 car R179s. 9 are assigned to the A, 2 are broken up into 4 half length trains for the Rockaway Park Shuttle, and 2 are undergoing maintenance at any given time. Since the A needs 40 trains for peak hour service, there are still 16 R46 sets that are used.
Won't be long before the 20th R211A can enter service, and the first 43xx trains will be made... Yet, I don't hear much about the R211S lately... Not even if it is ready for testing, either...
It’s been done with testing. All the R211S needs now is permission from the MTA to put it in service, however it’s currently suffering from signaling and power issues with the SIR trackage, and I don’t think they even have the automated announcements finished yet lol

I think that the R211S will might be in service in the summer. Hopefully MTA gets it done by the third quarter of the year.

Did it before when there only 5 consists running. Wasn't too bad. But now with 19? Hell no.

When are they going on different lines?
When the base order gets completed on the A and C lines
Predictions:
The 20th R211 will enter service on 6/20
The 21st R211 will enter service on 6/30
They may enter service before then I just wanna see a and c lines filled with r 211a's and r 211ts
