At 33:00 has got to be one of my favorite pieces of music in the entire game. Literally when I first started hearing the huge painting playing the Guitar, I just sat there and waited for the whole song to play, and enjoyed every bit of it. Felt so at peace listening to it during Night time in Hogwarts. It also sounds like a guitar rendition of the Classical music song "Pachelbel's Canon in D".
This game captures the essence of Hogwarts and Rowling's Wizarding World in a great way. I wish there was more depth to some of the features but I honestly had an awesome time as a HP fan
That's a fair assessment. Great game, little bits that could have made it even better. For me, I feel like I wanted just, little silly things that would have increased immersion. Like a photo mode (or at least a quick way to turn the UI off), the ability to sit on benches and chairs, and to eat at our house table when there's a meal going on 🥲 wehhh, we get cute cutscenes for petting cats, but I can't eat in The Great Hall.
@@Tessa_Ru agree with that and would like to add. Buying candy/sweets to use later. More in-depth friends that you can interact with outside of quests. Having a butter beer in the three broomsticks that is also more busy. Playing gobstones, chess.. And being able to sell potions you made or ingredients you harvested. And some other smaller things. But the music is just really really good
true. In addition to all that was written, I'd like to add that I wanted more school-like immersion things. Like, having a schedule (i.e., you need visit main hall for breakfast, lunch, and dinner), maybe having some "classes time" which you would be skipping most of the time (except for some, that would be the part of a game) and having only few hours for real exploration. I'd like for it to be more difficult to walk around Hogwarts at night, and, generally, things like that. But still, the game is already great, and I do really love it, maybe I'm just too biased on stories from books and movies.
Also not sure how the developers will see this but from the bottom of my nerd heart. THANKYOU for this game. I have been literally blown away by it. The detail the visuals the music. The other night I stood in a field of flowers and saw there were even bees buzzing and the music was playing. I got a bit emotional cus it has been so long since a game has made me happy. Honestly I look forward to coming home and playing it.
01:06:15 My absolute favourite track!! It sounds exactly like flying with Buckbeak from the Prisoner of Azkaban. It captures the sense of wonder and freedom I felt in this scene (especially with the flute motif) Very nostalgic as well.
137,4 hours into the game and love every single bit of it. I can't tell you how excited I was for this game as the true potterhead I am, but I was so scared that it would just be biggest lie in gaming history. Like the trailers and all of that looked so good, almost too good of a game to even be true and then the game would just be like cyberpunk 2077 when it launched, but no, it wasnt! It really was the masterpiece we saw on the trailers and gameplay showcase. This game is amazing and I cant thank you guys enough for doing this.

The NPCs felt pointless, no interaction, there was no choices that were meaningful, no repercussions in what you did, there was no endgame, limited mounts, limited brooms, vivarium like you said felt empty (I had to collect all the shiny variations just to feel some sort of an accomplishment with it), the ridiculous amount of merlin trials were so unnecessary and unfulfilling, there was nothing to really be done outside of questing, etc etc.
It's unbelievable the amount of love the score received, knowing four composers worked passionately for this game. I can distinctly hear the John Williams and Alexandre Desplat musical aesthetic. I truly hope It will receive a BAFTA, It's a superb achievement.
There are so many little bits and pieces taken from classical masterpieces and even other film OSTs. You can hear them throughout this whole soundtrack. I freaking love how they took inspiration like that!

Oh my god yes, I love the classical music in this game. It was so mindblowing when I recognized it for the first time. Or the Piano in Hogsmeade which plays Chopin Waltz in C sharp minor, it's amazing

I’m in Ravenclaw, and while I haven’t seen the other common rooms, I’m loving Ravenclaw’s!! We never saw it in the movies or described in the books aside from when Harry was looking for the diadem, but I’m so happy to have been able to explore the Ravenclaw Tower at last!!

I finished the game yesterday and I've got to say... it was such a magical experience! You've brought the magnificent Hogwarts castle to life in a way I only had ever dreamt of and didn't think it possible. Not only that, but you also gave life to Hogsmeade and the surrounding highlands. You've given us new friends, teachers, and foes. Some of us -- myself included -- even had a chance to see our common rooms for the first time. I'm so proud of what you guys at Avalanche have accomplished! And if I had one wish regarding this game... it would be to forget it all and restart all over again. It's not perfect, but it's the game I dreamt about since I was 11!
I'm so glad I came into this game completely blind to everything and what to expect because even if I did they were blow no, Bombardaed out of the water! If i had one word to describe how great and mazing this game is it will be...Magical.
I loved the vivarium for animals. It was just so peaceful. After a day of work, it was always my little pleasure to come in, feed them, take care of them, and just watch the beautiful scenery listening to that amazing music. I would instantly relax.

I like how if you listen carefully you’ll hear a familiar tune from the HP movies but instead of the tune going how you would expect they change the tune and turn it into something new yet familiar

Ravenclaw!!! I love this ... wow... I've been dying to play this game since the word dropped last year about it ... and yet, I have not begun my journey yet. My sister, a Slytherin, and her Gryffindor husband have been playing since day 1, and told me that they've lost countless hours to Hogwarts already, lol. I know for a fact that I'll be spending many, many, many hours in this world once I do sign on for it - so - for that reason alone I have to wait a little longer. Until then, I absolutely love watching these videos (and on another channel, Ambient Worlds, there are amazing House videos where you see a tour of the common rooms and dorms) - and I put them on for me to concentrate at work, but always end up actually watching in awe at the astounding and brilliant graphics... Your artists/devs/musicians/coders need every award possible for Gaming ... AAALLLLL the awards! 🏆🦁🐍🦡🐦🏆

Personally, I think it's a missed opportunity not being able to sit in the game, be that the chairs and couches in the common rooms or the great hall and order something to eat while listening to the conversations of the other students. The chairs look very comfy but no sitting. Also, what's the point of having chairs in the room of requirement if it's just for simple decoration without any utility?. I wish in future updates there could be a chance to sit whenever or wherever we want and just enjoy the talks in Hogwards or the villages or Hogsmeade to immerse into the environment. Other than that...thank you for the video of the music, it's great!.
Yes, I agree completely! It would add a lot to the immersion. I so want to chill in the little round studying area at the bottom of the astronomy tower at night. Or sit in the library, eat in the Great Hall, cozy up by the fireplace in the common room ...
@@Ghues It would've been great! I also wanted to sit in the library, or by the fountain of the mermaids and hear the conversations. I think many players after fighting and flying around might enjoy some quiet time to sit down, listen to the soundtrack and the NPC's talking, it's one thing that would make sense for us who wanted to go to Hogwarts and feel like we can be around there and just enjoy the place.

26 hours in and I am spending most of my time organizing and customizing the beast habitats. The music is so calming. But my only question is--WHERE DO PEOPLE SLEEP? NOBODY IS IN THEIR BEDS AT NIGHT?!
I’d love a buddy system where you can come to their common rooms for a bit, they spit out some random dialogue. Just anything to let you go in other people’s common rooms. I love the top of the ravenclaw tower but it’s not the same hovering slightly over it with a broom or trapped on a hippogriff I’d also love some of the windows to actually work, that’s one of my biggest let downs, not being able to see any of the castle from inside
Whenever you're not in a room it unloads it, to be able to see through windows it'd either have to always have the interiors loaded or load them as you approach
They struck the perfect balance between originality and homage to the Harry Potter films. Portkey Games absolutely nailed this game, it's everything I wanted and more.
Haha yeah I heard it the first time and I was like, "Nice, a Requiem in D Minor Remix!" A lot of the pieces seem to share similarities with classical pieces, and I really like that since I'm a big classical music fan. Plus they just straight up have that Boccherini minuet being played by the string quartet in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower.
I don't know who needs to hear this but whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath, stay positive, and know that things will get better

Ravenclaw!!! I love this ... wow... I've been dying to play this game since the word dropped last year about it ... and yet, I have not begun my journey yet. My sister, a Slytherin, and her Gryffindor husband have been playing since day 1, and told me that they've lost countless hours to Hogwarts already, lol. I know for a fact that I'll be spending many, many, many hours in this world once I do sign on for it - so - for that reason alone I have to wait a little longer. Until then, I absolutely love watching these videos (and on another channel, Ambient Worlds, there are amazing House videos where you see a tour of the common rooms and dorms) - and I put them on for me to concentrate at work, but always end up actually watching in awe at the astounding and brilliant graphics... Your artists/devs/musicians/coders need every award possible for Gaming ... AAALLLLL the awards! 🏆🦁🐍🦡🐦🏆

I wish I could play this game for the first time again.
Personally, I think it's a missed opportunity not being able to sit in the game, be that the chairs and couches in the common rooms or the great hall and order something to eat while listening to the conversations of the other students. The chairs look very comfy but no sitting. Also, what's the point of having chairs in the room of requirement if it's just for simple decoration without any utility?.
I wish in future updates there could be a chance to sit whenever or wherever we want and just enjoy the talks in Hogwards or the villages or Hogsmeade to immerse into the environment.

Yes, I agree completely! It would add a lot to the immersion. I so want to chill in the little round studying area at the bottom of the astronomy tower at night. Or sit in the library, eat in the Great Hall, cozy up by the fireplace in the common room ...
@@Ghues It would've been great! I also wanted to sit in the library, or by the fountain of the mermaids and hear the conversations. I think many players after fighting and flying around might enjoy some quiet time to sit down, listen to the soundtrack and the NPC's talking, it's one thing that would make sense for us who wanted to go to Hogwarts and feel like we can be around there and just enjoy the place.

Neben Harrys Gemeinschaftsraum ist zwar noch der Gemeinschaftsraum der Slytherin beschrieben, und ein wenig von Ravenclaw, aber über Hufflepuff weiß man so gar nichts. Es jetzt so umgesetzt zu sehen und auch die anderen Gemeinschaftsräume zu sehen; echt klasse!

I’d love a buddy system where you can come to their common rooms for a bit, they spit out some random dialogue. Just anything to let you go in other people’s common rooms. I love the top of the ravenclaw tower but it’s not the same hovering slightly over it with a broom or trapped on a hippogriff
I’d also love some of the windows to actually work, that’s one of my biggest let downs, not being able to see any of the castle from inside
Whenever you're not in a room it unloads it, to be able to see through windows it'd either have to always have the interiors loaded or load them as you approach

Haha yeah I heard it the first time and I was like, "Nice, a Requiem in D Minor Remix!" A lot of the pieces seem to share similarities with classical pieces, and I really like that since I'm a big classical music fan. Plus they just straight up have that Boccherini minuet being played by the string quartet in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Tower.
I don't know who needs to hear this but whatever is worrying you right now, forget about it. Take a deep breath, stay positive, and know that things will get better
