- Todd takes us step by step through installing the 7" MaxTrac Suspension LIft for the 2011 Ram. This install will work for the 09-13 Ram 1500 2WD. It uses a 4.5" Spindle Lift combined with a 2.5" spring lift to reach the full 7"
Berry nice thanks for your help
excellent display of proper install.... thank you
If i have a 2inch strut lift kit and install a 4" lift spindle will it raise the truck more?
Wheel setup please!?
I just installed a 1.5 inch pro comp coil spacer on my 06 megacab 2wd/rwd that already has 2.5 level coils from maxtrac. But one side is a inch higher. Is that normal ?
Did you have to use a carrier bearing spacer kit for the driveshaft
Yes, it is needed to avoid drive shaft vibrations and corrects the angle
great vid. actually feel like I could do it myself. Very informative
This is better than the Maxtrac Video. Great job.!
M Steen thanks. It is always good to hear we are doing a good job.
Hey did you change the pitman arm??
😂 09 and up 2wd 1500s do not have pitman arms
This was the best 2wd video I could find for my needs. I'm installing a 2inch level (strut and spring) front only on my 4th gen ram 1500. What steps do I need to change/omit from this video?
Well explain, thumbs up, subscribed!
Does this require aftermarket upper control arms? Or could I reuse my oem ones without having any issues?
You can reuse them boss
do they make one for the 2000 ram sport 1500. i am about to start restoring my old high school graduation truck from 2000 yeah it was bought brand new and has been 1 owner its life it recently was repainted last year and now im gonna start on replacing the dash and headliner replacing seats in leather and a lift and wheels. gonna see just how long i can keep the ole truck alive and looking good
Great work and great video!!
Hi, nice video, very Informative, i have a 2009 dodge ram 1500 quad cab v6 2wd, i want to get the 7" lift, do you know the part number for it? Which one will be right for me?

nice video
Thanks for the compliment! We appreciate it.
Luckiest man alive took 20 minutes to hit lower ball joint loose from spindle
What all tools would you recommend for this install? I'm going from a 100% stock truck and I'm going to be doing it with some buddies. Also, how would you reccomend getting the truck off the ground in a driveway, i assume jackstands but im looking for the most safe.
Thank you for your help
- Austin
austin mushovic can't really help much with the tools because every vehicle is different. If doing this in the driveway please for safety use a wide base style of jackstand rated for at least 1000lbs more than your truck weighs. Make sure it is on a flat level surface. Have fun and take your time to be safe.
I had this lift installed yesterday, and for some reason the front suspension makes a terrible metal to metal sound when i go over bumps. Can anyone explain why? I had the same lift on my 07 ram (Now 13') and didnt have this problem..
SailorDude unfortunately I do not have enough info from your comment to determine cause. With just what you have told me here there's at least a dozen possibilities. The best advice I can give you on this is to give us a call and talk to one of our knowledgeable Tech Specialists at 888-855-4621
What did you ever find out ?
I have the same problem i installed the same lift kit but for a 2016 ram 2wd and everytime i pass threw a speed pump you hear clunk in the front side i took back to the shop and they said they could find anything wrong but they did say they can hear the clunk noise it only happens when i go threw a speed pump
Street and freeway rides good n some bumbs
i know i’m extremely late… but i think it’s your upper control arm bottoming out on the shock tower. This happens if your control arms aren’t long enough. i have a similar kit installed on my 2013 ram 1500 and it makes a clunk noise on the down travel. my upper control arms are hitting the shock tower because i already had a 2 inch coil leveling kit installed before i got the lift. this is making my truck sit 2 inches higher in the front and not giving the upper control arms enough down travel. i’m looking at buying stock coil springs to even it out and give me more down travel.
Are you aware of any companies that make a lift for a 2015 Ram 2500 6.7L Megacab 2WD?
Thank you

CST Suspension Does
I'm In the market for a lift kit for my 2015 GMC Sierra 2wd. What lift kit do you think works best with my truck? I'm looking to lift it about 4 inches. I've heard about maxtrac lift spindles and zone?what do you think about those?
How much was all that work. Parts and labor?
With this spindle ? Will the wheels kick out away from the body like the rough country do o no?
Most lift spindles do kick them out just a hair
Hey I'm looking for info on putting a 1.5 spacer under my rear coils.could I just put a spring compressor and set the in?
For suspension, questions give us a call at 888-257-3323 and they would be able to assist you.
What shocks are those ?
What size springs are on the rear?
Do I need a spring compressor for this ?
No, but it will make it easier
What bilstein strut is that?
5100
Awesome video. I am buying this lift because of your video! You did a better job then maxtrac. Thank you for your time making this!
mm? Isn't this a RAM? What happened to sae?
Will 35s fit the truck without the lift?
Zachary Trevino I believe it comes stock with 35s, maybe it's 33s but I'm pretty sure they're 35s
Zachary Trevino yes they will. I am running 35x12.5x20 without any rubbing.
Do you know if 37s would fit?
austin mushovic that I don't know. I think it would, like I said I have 35s on my chrome clads that came with the truck from factory. Zero offset and have plenty of room.
Leveling kits help but not required to run 35’s. Rams have round wheel wells so it makes tire fitment much easier
Cringe, don’t follow these instructions
