Thanks for the video boss using your video this weekend to do my lift on my mega cab 06 5.9 I’ve got 3” springs and 3.5” lift metal puck’s to go on top em. 🙏
Its easy to install. Some trucks need a spring compressor to do the passenger side but its no big deal to do. I should have done a fake compress on mine just to include that step in the video if needed.
Lotta work there boss! Great job and really appreciate the work and effort that you endured and really enjoyed this video. Very informative!! Thank you and please keep up the great work man. Stay safe! 😎👍
Nice. I can say when I did the front springs on my 3500 they were a pain in the a$$. But with a little persuasion they went in. Got to see the control arm video next.
Some trucks you might need it for the passenger side. I guess I should have mentioned that. I've done some that needed it and some that don't. I could lift one right now thats the same year model as mine and have to use a spring compressor. I would make sure you can get one somewhere before you start the project.
Nice video man. I have a question, I have a 96 2500 4x4 12v and I’m getting 2.5 inch thuren xs springs. Do I need to get aftermarket extended control arms or adjustable track bar to do it? Or can I just put the springs in? Thanks
A lot of guys do just the springs but it pulls the axle back toward the cab and shifts it to the driver's side a little. If you can live with that then yes. If you want your axle centerd perfect then you will need ajustable track bar and control arms.
You can get away with just the adjustable track bar if you run 35" or smaller tires, the adj control arms center the wheel in the wheel well,. If you don't do the adj track bar you'll be one of those guy whose truck looks crooked going down the road to other drivers.
I'm considering getting this kit for my dodge. Did you have to replace anything else to install this kit? Or did it just bolt right on replacing the old parts?
Bolts right in place of factory parts. Nothing extra needed to install this kit. I've heard of some needing a spring compressor to install the passenger side. Keep that in mind.
On my '12 2500, I changed the stock coils out with the Rancho coils, was such a mushy and scary/unsafe driving experience, I promtply changed it out with the RC leveling coil kit. Decent improvement over the stock and Rancho, but thinking about changing it out for either the Thuren 3" coils or even air bag kit. How do you like the RC coils now that they've been in for a while?
@@isolateddieselperformance3261 I had always been skeptical of RC, Superlift was absolute garbage (shock wise), but for the money I think the RC kit is great for low budget investment.
