Just a confirmation on the number of games - There were 675 games released in North America (and other non-Japanese NTSC regions) You can technically play Japanese Famicom games on a North American NES as well (672 games released exclusively in Japan, bringing the total to just under 1350), but you would need to find a 60-pin to 72-pin adapter if you wanted to do that. You likely also want a different style of game holder for those, since they're shorter than NES cartridges (and colour-wise, you'd probably want it to be red and white to match the Famicom. Maybe with gold accents to incorporate the gold from the controllers) EDIT: Of course, I'm just talking about the Nintendo licensed games, and not any compilation, championship, or unlicensed games
Wow! Is that the total even with duplicate titles? That is insane! Also, the color choice would be cool for Famicom if it matched. Thanks for sharing this!
Woot! I wish I could post a photo of my NES cart collection to share with you :-p There are actually only 678 licensed NES games that were released, and about 100 or so unlicensed ones. I have about 550 of the original licensed set. Each of the games I'd need to complete the rest of my collection are now in the hundreds of dollars range :( but it doesn't stop me from having fun with them whenever I'd like to. This is a really cool print nonetheless! If you had like 20 or 30 games you played very frequently, something like this would be perfect to have just to pop them out and put them away when you're done for the next time you play :)
I ordered quite a few rolls of PETG HF a few days ago and it is arriving today. I can't wait to print with this material. How often are you drying the filament and do you dry filament straight out of the box and sealed bag? Great video.
@@LoyalMoses I mostly meant to attach them with eachother (carpet tape is too strong for walls and will tear paint when you try to remove, so it's good for PLA parts). To keep them at the wall I'd use a weaker double-sided tape, two straight ines from top to bottom of stacked tower (after you've attached them ofc). Edit: I sure hope your floors and walls are straight, because that won't work otherwise.
Exactly! This has such a smooth look / feel to it, you can't tell it apart from the PLA and it printed just as nice, no stringing or oozing. Just amazing stuff. Super impressed.
i wish i still had mine, but i'd never actually hook it up or use it. it's all online now a days through the Switch. i know, i know, it's not the same. the thing is, i work in games. so i've got way way too much stuff already that i don't use/isn't hooked up. i do still have my 2600, Genesis, OG Xbox, PS2, PS3, Wii, and a ton of retro PC games. some day when the kids have moved out and i have an extra room maybe i'll get it all hooked up and will pick up the consoles and games i'm missing.
Oh, I totally understand where you are coming from! I wish I had all those consoles. We didn’t have some of those, and the rest were all lost as I was grown and away. Thank you for sharing!
@@LoyalMoses we just donated our 360 with about 70 games to a childhood friend of my wife. She's not very well off and has never had a console for her or her kids. We plan on doing the same sort of thing with the others that aren't super old.
@@LoyalMoses very much so. I use the command strips to hold a lot of stuff. Signed and framed art that weighs about 3-4 lbs, I use 4 of the 5lb mounting pads and it doesn’t move. I had my modem and router wall mounted that way back when I rented, too.
We just got the Bambú A1. My boys love it. We are having so much fun. Just posted an unboxing on our channel. I really want to print this for our NES games. How do you do it without an AMS?
Should make the controller ports able to accept a controller and turn the connector into a key chain so it can plug in and hold your keys. Obviously that wouldn't be necessary for all of them but one or two if whoever had multiple games or not so many games
This is awesome I’d like to make a lots for my brother who have SSSSOOOO MUCH games.. more than 300. But would need Sooooo much filament! An awesome project but to expensive :( 😅
From my understanding there are over 1300 games plus dozens of home brew games... Probably 5 to 10 times cheaper to build something with wood & paint it...
I have a problem with the new filament. It is only recognized for 1 second in the AMS and then it is thrown out again and is unknown. You cannot manually enter the PETG-HF in the slicer because it does not appear on the list (latest version is installed). Only found in the list in the Bambu mobile app
White labeling filament is the exact same as white labeling food. There are only a couple of potato chip manufacturers in the country, but there are hundreds of brands. It's the same for clothing, auto parts, etc. Filament is very similar. BUT, of all of the rumors that you read, almost ALL of them are incorrect, nobody knows for sure. There is far too much money on the line for people to be disclosing contracts. Filament is not just "filament" either - filaments include additives, and companies that white label filament are also manufacturing certain formulas for specific companies that are not reproduced by others at all, again because of contracts. It's easy for people to see a similar spool, or what they believe to be the identical color and assume. But it is just assumptions.
We have a HUGE community of designers! Our discord is loaded and we they design all the toys for our Christmas Community Print Drive every year! They are truly amazing!
If you’re doing a wall of them an stacking. All those fine details on the sides and the Nintendo logo seem unnecessary. You could get rid of the side grills and bottom and just lineage it on the sides that are visible and the bottom row. It’d save a bunch of filament and print time and would look much cleaner as a wall.
Very true. We considered that, but I haven't quite decided how I want them mounted, or if all of them will be mounted, so we have the printers going and cranking them out!
I’m gonna need A LOT more filament! I got an email from Bambu after they saw the video… they smiled and said, “are you really gonna print all these?” - I said ABSOLUTELY! 😆
@@LoyalMoses Thats actually what a Bambu rep said in a live chat i was in back in March when someone asked where their filament was made. They said its outsourced thru Sunlu. Which actually makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint as well

That is awesome! So cool to have those original games and WAY lucky that you each still have your Ataris!!! AWESOME!
I have to look at my NES cartrigaes to see which generation they are, I would 2-3 games a year so my collection is small. LUL The NES was my families first game system back in Chrsitmas of '89 and me and my Dad would play together as a tiny kid.
That’s cool! Go check!
Yes, that is insane (nodding no)
Haha
Maybe studio B becomes the Retro Studio. :-)
yet again i am wishing i bought the multi-color addon for my bambu.
Originally i didnt bother since i primarily use it to print wargaming terrain, which i paint anyway. Yeah i can just paint the black/red but that requires extra effort and can rub off.
I hope you can get one soon! You will LOVE IT!
My boys played all of them. They just thought it was so cool being mom name.
So cool!!!
Just a confirmation on the number of games - There were 675 games released in North America (and other non-Japanese NTSC regions)
You can technically play Japanese Famicom games on a North American NES as well (672 games released exclusively in Japan, bringing the total to just under 1350), but you would need to find a 60-pin to 72-pin adapter if you wanted to do that. You likely also want a different style of game holder for those, since they're shorter than NES cartridges (and colour-wise, you'd probably want it to be red and white to match the Famicom. Maybe with gold accents to incorporate the gold from the controllers)
EDIT: Of course, I'm just talking about the Nintendo licensed games, and not any compilation, championship, or unlicensed games
Wow! Is that the total even with duplicate titles? That is insane! Also, the color choice would be cool for Famicom if it matched. Thanks for sharing this!
@@LoyalMosesThat's not including duplicates. That would add about about 500 more Famicom games to the list
Wow!
EPIC! Keep collecting and having fun, that's what this is about!
Nice
Thank you!
Still remember, still have. The original TMNT game you have there was way too hard.
Some of these games were impossible!
"Smells Delicious" that's awesome. And now I know why you were teasing us with the cartridge holder. Does it work with the sleeves too l?
Why does new filament always smell so good!? Maybe there is something wrong with me. They slide in perfect without sleeves, I’ll try and report back!
I ordered quite a few rolls of PETG HF a few days ago and it is arriving today. I can't wait to print with this material. How often are you drying the filament and do you dry filament straight out of the box and sealed bag? Great video.
Thank you! And awesome! Can’t wait to hear what you think of it. I don’t really dry mine, we are very dry here.
you could probably also use carpet tape (strong double sided tape) to assemble them in a simple non destructive way.
OH! That is a great idea?! Do you mean to connect them together only or to attach to the wall as well? Great idea! Thank you!
Edit: I sure hope your floors and walls are straight, because that won't work otherwise.
i have got over 360+ nes games and im also working on a thing for the nes that is 3d printed to help with some issues its got
360!!! Wow! That would be just awesome, I’d love to have that many, and I’m working on it! I’d love to see what you make.
Usually PETG looks a bit more glossy compared to PLA. Is it the same with this PETG HF? Looking forward getting my hands on some spools!
Exactly! This has such a smooth look / feel to it, you can't tell it apart from the PLA and it printed just as nice, no stringing or oozing. Just amazing stuff. Super impressed.
Remember to blow into the cartridge to make them work 🤣
I was live on Twitch, cartridge wouldn’t work… as a joke, I blew into it like we did as kids… and it worked! 🔥🔥🔥
Studio N for everything Nintendo, when? 😆
Haha!
i wish i still had mine, but i'd never actually hook it up or use it. it's all online now a days through the Switch. i know, i know, it's not the same. the thing is, i work in games. so i've got way way too much stuff already that i don't use/isn't hooked up. i do still have my 2600, Genesis, OG Xbox, PS2, PS3, Wii, and a ton of retro PC games. some day when the kids have moved out and i have an extra room maybe i'll get it all hooked up and will pick up the consoles and games i'm missing.
3m mounting pads would work great for wall mounting
You think they could support the weight?
@@LoyalMoses very much so. I use the command strips to hold a lot of stuff. Signed and framed art that weighs about 3-4 lbs, I use 4 of the 5lb mounting pads and it doesn’t move. I had my modem and router wall mounted that way back when I rented, too.
Fantastic! Thank you for this!
They both look great.how do they feel?
They are both awesome! Can’t tell them apart really!
Was this the box posted on twitter or do we have more exiciting things to come? 😮
I got A LOT of boxes that day!
How is the finish? Looks more Matte than normal PETG.
Definitely doesn’t look like traditional PETG, has a more PLA or even matte PLA finish, which is just awesome. I’m super impressed.
We just got the Bambú A1. My boys love it. We are having so much fun. Just posted an unboxing on our channel. I really want to print this for our NES games. How do you do it without an AMS?
Filament swaps on different layers would be the only way, otherwise not all models can be done properly without an AMS.
Filament swaps on different layers would be the only way, otherwise not all models can be done properly without an AMS.
@@LoyalMoses Thank you...we are newbies, going to save up for the AMS...that looks cool.
Just like with that A1, you will LOVE the AMS! Also, welcome! ! !
Pffft, you were hiding that in plain sight the other night.
It was sitting right there for everyone to see! There are other things in the studio too that people didn't even catch! :-)
28K subs you should be at 5Mil
I’m working on it! 😅
Sniff sniff - smells delicious 😂😂
Hehe
@@LoyalMoseslove your energy and vibe. Happy to be a new sub to this fantastic content
Thank you so much! That means a lot. Glad you are here.
500g kills me! I want to print these so bad. I’d need at least 20 of them. If my maths right. That’s at least 33 rolls…
Also… nice number! 😅
wish more platformers were 2 player like Rescue Rangers
Me too!
Should make the controller ports able to accept a controller and turn the connector into a key chain so it can plug in and hold your keys. Obviously that wouldn't be necessary for all of them but one or two if whoever had multiple games or not so many games
That would be fun!
This is awesome I’d like to make a lots for my brother who have SSSSOOOO MUCH games.. more than 300. But would need Sooooo much filament! An awesome project but to expensive :( 😅
300?! Oh my gosh! That is awesome!
I wonder how we can reduce the amount of filament needed. Hmmm.
From my understanding there are over 1300 games plus dozens of home brew games...
Probably 5 to 10 times cheaper to build something with wood & paint it...
I want them all! 😃
could you do a video about the open source ercf maybe putting it on the sv08
That would be great! I’d love to see that on an SV08!
When can get get ahold of this new PETG-HF stuff?
Right now. It’s on their website now!
I have a problem with the new filament. It is only recognized for 1 second in the AMS and then it is thrown out again and is unknown. You cannot manually enter the PETG-HF in the slicer because it does not appear on the list (latest version is installed). Only found in the list in the Bambu mobile app
Update the printer and Bambu Studio!
Which one do you like? YES 🤩
Exactly! They are both perfect!
I prefer the PLA look
Awesome!
@@LoyalMoses Don't get me wrong, PETG looks great! the PLA had that old school fading look to it due to PLA used.
Look forward to the wall project ;)
I was from Asia, and we had the Famicon, not the NES. Smaller cartridges.😅
I need them too!
Oh, the original bambu Lab labeled Sunlu petg, yes.
Huh?
@@LoyalMoses mostly "original bambu filaments" are Just Sunlu filaments relabeled and repriced
Not correct. Lots of speculation and rumors, but that is incorrect. Bambu is one of my official sponsors, we have a full wall of Bambu filament. 😅
@@LoyalMoses ooook...
Have you ever asked your subscribers if any of them are designers and what they have designed? Just wondering...
We have a HUGE community of designers! Our discord is loaded and we they design all the toys for our Christmas Community Print Drive every year! They are truly amazing!
@@LoyalMoses, I have a very dumb question then... How do I get a discord invitation? UPDATE: NVM I found it on twitch. Thanks!
Awesome! Come on over!!!
I need a case made for the original clear game keepers
Cool!
How do you like the HF PETG now that you’ve been using it for a while?
I just did regular petg for the first time recently, was pleasantly surprised
Formulas are getting better and better! It's just awesome. I like the new high speed stuff, it is so easy that anyone will be successful with it.
Anywhere where we can buy the holder for people that don't own 3d printers
Iam new to 3d printing.. what 3d printing you are using to print that cartridge nes game holder..thank
Using the Bambu Lab P1S!
Thanks
When is the PETG releasing
Should be available right now!
@@LoyalMoses ive checked and it still isnt
us.store.bambulab.com/products/petg-hf
@@LoyalMoses thank you i must not of been looking properly
@@LoyalMoses do you recon it would stick to normal petg if my roll of petg basic runs out mid print
Cool design! Have you seen mine? 😊
No, I’d love to see it!
@@LoyalMoses Cool! I've just sent a DM on Insta! 😀
Awesome. Let me go check!
For sure i like the PETG more, but the PLA is not that bad.
Absolutely. Not bad at all. It’s crazy that you can’t tell them apart. Everything is getting just so good!
Was this what was in the box you posted on Twitter? We just need a "yes" or "no" here.
I will say that I received a lot of boxes that day! :-)
@@LoyalMoses 🤩Cough once if it has two toolheads
Haha
Does this filament work on other printers?
Absolutely! Works on any printer.
@@LoyalMoses thanks I’ll be sure to try it next time I need filament. Have you tried the new Hyper PETG from Creality?
I believe I have some here! New filament formulas are happening so fast, this is awesome!
No Duck Hunter or Paper Boy?
Have Duck Hunt, and I don’t remember if I have Paper Boy… I used to play that alot on the Amatrad as a kid!
Now do one for SNES!
I was told there was one for SNES! So we can do that next!!!
@@LoyalMoses And then do the N64 after! In fact just do the whole Nintendo series!
I’m gonna need A LOT more filament! I got an email from Bambu after they saw the video… they smiled and said, “are you really gonna print all these?” - I said ABSOLUTELY! 😆
@@LoyalMoses Then they better supply the filament! 😂
They are such an amazing company, always so supportive and willing to sponsor all the silly stuff we do!
Yeah , you can actually thank Sunlu.....Thats all Bambu Labs filament is Rebranded Sunlu at double the price.
This is NOT correct, and I wish I could give you the details.
@@LoyalMoses Thats actually what a Bambu rep said in a live chat i was in back in March when someone asked where their filament was made. They said its outsourced thru Sunlu. Which actually makes sense from a manufacturing standpoint as well
How long did you have to dry the PETG HF and at what temperature to get those results? There's no way you just took it out of the bag and got that result.
I didn’t dry mine, and it came out great!
