Bought a bottle of this a little while ago as I couldn't find Beefeater at the time. I had a martini at a bar made with this the other day. Now I know what bathtub gin must have tasted like. If there were some easy way to sell this unopened bottle back to the store, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
Unusually agreeable list for UA-cam standards, but listing Beefeater and Beefeater 24 separately and the "regular" Tanqueray instead of the No. Ten is a bit weird, and I would make one change in replacing the controversial Bombay Sapphire entry that a lot of people strongly dislike with the practically universally lauded Mermaid gin from the Isle of Wight. Not only has every variety released been met with much acclaim, but they are among a very small number of distilleries who will release a lemon gin or strawberry gin not just by adding lemon or strawberry flavors to their normal dry gin, but by re-engineering the entire taste profile from the ground up. Each of their gins tastes distinct from the others and fantastic in its own right.
Hey Alan, my father also loves Monkey 47 and I’ve been trying to find him another gin he likes, with no luck so far. Since you also like Monkey 47, would you mind telling me which gins you think are also really good? I’m more of a whisky person so…I’m completely lost here :D
Stopped drinking beefeater they did a very seriously stupid idea change the abv 47% to 44% I personally think it changed the gin for the worse it's sad hopefully one day they go back to 47% cause it was my favorite
Tanqueray 10 is my favorite
Bombay Sapphire is like drinking cologne.
sounds fucking disgusting I cant stand cologne perfume
Sapphire is swill. Bombay Original is sublime and costs less.

Bombay is generally a brand to avoid. English Estate and Bramble were OK
I must be a bit common, but as a Gin drinker for 50 plus years and tried most many times Gordon's does it for me.

Monkey 47 all the way, one of the top 5 Gins, followed by Nordes

Tanqueray Ten and Citadelle are at top of my favorite brands.
Gunpowder and Vikre are two excellent gins left off this list
Botanist, Sipsmith, Hendricks, Gray Whale, Innveroche, Monkey 47, Duke, Harahorn,Bluecoat, Sourlands, not in that order.

This should be «the best known gin brands». And none of the ones on this list is good Gin in my book. 😅
Do you like monkey 47 ?
Love the BS video of bartenders spilling gin, pure artistry.
LOL so an American is going to tell us which is better? How many AUSTRALIAN gins have you tasted?
No one drinks Australian gins. Australia contributes shockingly almost no good products to the world
Really? You really need to try more gins, because some of your choices aren’t even in the top 50. Seriously.
