To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Limbo. The playstyle is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics and quantum mechanics most of the synergies will go over a typical player's head. There's also Limbo's Dapper look, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his concept draws heavily from Stephen Hawkings String theory, for instance. The mains understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of these synergies, to realize that they're not just Useful- they say something deep about THE GAME. As a consequence people who dislike Limbo truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the Science behind his iconic ability "cataclysm," which itself is a great representation of what a worm hole used to create a small pocket through the 4th dimension would look like I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as DE's genius unfolds itself on their screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a limbo tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.

Delight in that I can play Limbo in groups without gimping myself and my team, fear because there is a madman out in the world who thought it up.

Take a drink every time I say "simply put" or a variation of it. Don't make the same script mistakes as me boyos.
After days of work, this is going to go one of two ways:
1. I'm going to help out alot of folk and people won't mind playing with Limbo
or
2. I'm gonna be laughed outta the room if it turns out to be bad

How to make a combat viable limbo: Don't use stasis, instead break him so hard that rift surge becomes a psuedo stasis.
Another tip for the health siphoning stage both dagger stances inflict slash procs on charge attacks. The Rakta dark dagger gives you shields for damage done to targets inflicted with radiation procs. If you use RDD you can turn enemies into health AND shield dispensers.

White Tiger9000 Limbo is hilarious. I run a Max Duration Limbo with an Exalted Blade Excalibur so we can take noobs Frost Farming and stuff.
As a guy who's got well over 1.5k hours on limbo all i got to say is BRAVO! Fantastic guide covers all the bases with very few gripes hell even covers more advanced play-styles and builds like the low durration.(i have been taking some notes of this one my self so at this point you got me thorougly impressed) I do think your rift etiquette rule set could use a few tweaks here and there but that's mostly nitpicking and in others down to personal opinion.

Yep, been a limbo main since well before the rework and other than rift torrent I knew there had to be more to rift surge for this limbo. This is it. yeah obviously I've tweaked it for myself. It makes me wonder how this can be applied to the new stasis even though stasis isn't the point of it.
July 2021 update here, a held cast of Banish now casts a weakened, but infinite range instance of Dispel. This is weaker, as it only affects the Rift, but it means that a low duration build is now less viable than a high one, as you don't have to rely on Banish expiring, nor do you need to manually send them out, you can just hold cast to send everyone out at once. The key idea is that if you're overwhelmed, you can instantly kick all enemies out of the Rift, however you spend far less energy, due to not needing to constantly cast Rift Surge. It also makes the stun idea work, as you can just spam dispel and Rift Surge to act as though it's a low duration, as Dispel costs no energy. You can straight up switch between high and low duration banishes at will, with exact control over the duration, meaning your cataclysms and defensive abilities are no longer tanked. Do with this what you will

While you are right that low duration is no longer essential, it's still important to consider that long duration is at odds with fleeting expertise and transient fortitude. So, although the build you describe is more flexible, it's also less efficient in battle.
Came here on a link from Tactical Potato's newest Limbo video. He's easily in my top 5 frames and I'm so tired of people blaming the frame for players' trolling. I definitely learned a great deal and, when I saw that Min Duration build in action, my jaw dropped. I hadn't been this surprised by a build since I saw the Min Range Savage Silence Banshee build from Shy. Thank you SO much for sticking up for this incredible frame!
This was a perfection itself. It doesn't take you hours to get to the point, yet you manage to explain things to the extent so even a dork like me can understand whats up and actually see the new possibilities. The Guide was oozing with information and tips while at the same time it had that easy going atmosphere thanks to your joking around. Those 27 minutes felt like nothing. I enjoyed every bit of your video. The graphics was nice, BGM was on point, the ''Whosh'' Limbo animation was golden(when introducing new segment such as the rift etiquette). Alaikit. For me in every possible way, 10 outta 10.

This is the best limbo guide possibly the best Warframe guide I have ever seen.
Thanks for the comprehensive guide. I got limbo on a whim as my 1st paid frame and was finding it hard to get a hold on the mechanics of his abilites and this totally cleared that up, as well as gave me ideas for how to get really good later down the road. Subscribed and liked.
Don't think of Limbo as a support frame, though he does have support aspects. Think of him as a solo frame with great cc and infinite scaling. Like Harrow.
Can't have friends complain about Limbo if you got no friends, after all.
Limbo was the first Warframe I built, and is still my go to pick, and most used frame.
I dont think he fits support role it seem more accurate to say he's a debuffer that can hypothetically deal permanent status ailments. He just happens to have skills that are useful for a quick escape.

Immobilizing enemies helps a bunch for teammates to deal damage without being damaged.

Kudos to you! I don't mean to set other UA-camrs down. But, this the first video I've seen that was more than just "hur dur, max range and duration!" Those are the builds people hate playing with. Min duration or min range like you showcased are not only more team friendly, but also just so much more fun! Thank you!
two months later and i've been using limbo for almost two months straight, and this guide has been the best thing in the entire universe. the low range build is no fucking joke, even in the Plains; being able to selectively take an enemy or two out of the battle without banishing/rifting your entire squad puts you in a very good role to take out priority targets and almost a support frame in a way. i've yet to toy with a build of my own yet because i haven't forma'd him the way i want yet but this is an absolutely phenomenal guide and i'd like to see other guides for frames in the future as well.

brainiac642 You should take 2 Equinox players. Near the end of your Maim, have the other cast hers and then recast yours to spend all the save damage.
Since the other Equinox started Maim before you cashed out, all or most of the damage you saved goes straight to her, and will go right back to you when hers is almost up.

@triburos stasis + status effects is no longer pausing the duration of the status as of the Saint of Altra update and according to [DE]Tweep, this is intentional.

As Limbo is one of my personal favorites (such a glorious hat), this video is a welcome relief for my plane-jumping playstyle. I've experimented with max range/duration builds before, but never fully understood where each would be best used. So, in short, thank you. Thank you for taking the time to educate the few players who enjoy using him.

I'm mr 15 in the game and FINALLY decided to go back and finish the limbo quest, I currently have the full frame building. While he was building I thought "I should look up some builds and play styles for him so I'll know what to do with him". That was a mistake. He seems to be one of, if not the only frame, that you need to FULLY experiment with yourself before looking at how others play him, otherwise you'll just leave extremely confused as I was. So my advice, play the frame yourself for at least a few hours, get used to the abilities and how they affect everyone and everything, and then look at how others build and play him. Even if only to see that the way YOU do it is the way YOU want to do it. Because in the end, that's why this frame is one of the most complicated in the game, it's not mashing one or two buttons when you see a mob of enemies or an objective, it's playing your cards right and using YOUR abilities the right way when YOU see what needs to be done.

Holy shit that was an amazing video to watch. A 30 minutes video with clear explanations complete with the when, the why, the who and the how.
And oh yea, that min duration build, I really dig it. It will totally help me with the problem of getting too overwhelmed when trying to juggle enemies between the rift and material plane. Especially in 'killing' type missions. I've been using min range for that kind of situation but I find that I keep on losing track of banished enemies and most probably annoy my teammates a lot.
PSA: The duration of Status Effects are no longer paused under the effects of Stasis.

Just got limbo yesterday and a low duration build was one of the first builds I thought of when reading how his moves work. Didn't think someone actually did it already since I rarely see Limbo. Good stuff.

This is great. Im a new player and when I got limbo i didnt know how to use it, every one said it was a bad frame so i never used it. At the time I ignored the value of mods thinking that what ever is good is good for all warframes, but this is making me practice mod loadouts so far half my warframes hace improved. THANK YOUUUU!

been using a 45 duration build since i saw this video and i gotta say....wow limbo is actaully really effective in combat now, instead of having to concentrate on sending enemies out of the rift i can just let them do it themselves. this vid was fantastic.
Glad to see many people (comment section included) who actually try and enjoy limbo rather than the people who hate him just because he is limbo. Loved the riftbound guide so I subbed and love the min duration build, I had a build that did the same but still was good for defensive at the same time -pretty much a jack of all trades build- but it is nice to see a build that does the same as I do without the cataclysm reliance. Keep up great work and make limbo great again! -or at least show people he was always great-
