Btw with those Excal clips: I'm aware that if enemy A.I is set to off, they take stealth melee damage from melee / melee powers. But reminder that I was using Radial Blind for the demonstrations anyways, so that doesn't matter.

I like Wisp for her 1 and 3. I don't use her 4 often. It is cool, but your right, tick speed increase would be great. I think her abilities need some work, but I've got to say, running over 200% strength and having 70 hp/second and 1500 hp is pretty nice. Also her 3 and 1 synergy where she will teleport to it, doubling the range of her 3 (works when her 2 is active) has an infinite range. You can teleport across Fortuna in 1 press of a button (2 if you count placing a mote). Thnx for a video. Hope you see this!

That's pretty neat actually; if it doesn't take you out of stealth when you use the projectile that means 400% boost to any contagion projectile you send out

I noticed that in the middle of getting recordings; handy for getting 3 waves out at a distance quicker. Bit awkward to keep holding the button if you don't wanna teleport though

I think they said it was because abilities in general can't pop nully bubbles, and that it was done to just make the ability consistent with other abilities not affecting nullies
Though I still do agree with you. An ability could have the unique advantage of being able to attack bubbles. But I guess they didn't want her 4 having that kind of exclusive perk

You forgot to mention her 2 makes her invisible for the entire duration it is active regardless of shooting weapons. It also makes her invincible for a short duration after teleporting to the wisp.
I think I did mention that though; she's able to use weaponry while it's active did I not? It's why her passive is kinda redundant when you could just drop a small energy cost for a proper invis

I can understand Corpus nullies blocking warframe abilities related to the void, but Wisp is literally spewing the SUN at them.

You used to destroy Nullifier Bubbles with it, but they changed that like 4 or 5 days after she was out.

YES. Her buffs are what make her for me. I just think DE was intending for her laser to be the backbone of her kit. But I think that kinda fell flat imo, so I just use her for giving team and myself hp+ /hp regen and attack+fire speed boosts

She does have feet according to DE. They are just in that other dimension and you cannot see them.

@@CatGirlSuzu i know she is strong, but i talked about energy management. I mean there is Equinox. The 4th drains like nothing while nuking a whole room. Valkyr and Ember should roll back to previous stats. Maybe Valkyr invunerable and gives a lot of damage, but she cant nuke rooms, so it would be fair if the drain doesnt speed up. And Ember should keep her range, its only CC the enemy. Nyx should use her ult only by duration, not per hit conversion. Or the dmg should raise fron 0.001% to 10% to give proper kills.
i do believe the buffs are a little bit stronger than you let on, since they do affect the entire party...

One round of disruption with wisp and I fell in love and deemed her one of my favorite frames hands down but everything said here is facts especially in comparison to excalibur. There's so much potential with each frame just off of thier theme so they should reflect more thought and common sense that's addressed comically, but factually, in this video.
Wisp is best survival support frame. Keeps her allies up, stuns enemies, and have a Kamehameha wave.
Also the shock flower stuns enemies, it keeps them from shooting you while you shoot them.
Yea her abilities arent visually appealing to me, and her dmg is butt, but i do like her survivalbility.
Fits the "cant kill a ghost" vibe
DE were definitely smoking something while designing Wisp, but it was something good.
Giving the Shock Amp a Condition Overload affect to the beam would be a great way to add a nice bonus to it.

Wisp can stay cloaked permanently, even with no energy, can get around almost as fast as portal nova or speed volt, has the largest and longest lasting mass blind in the game, and gets a beam that rapidly procs corrosive for anti armor and radiation for crowd control. Also with a basic umbral adaptation build with some power strength and hunter adrenaline she can camp on her super charged health buff/ healing plant thing and just become an invincible corrosive solar turret. Shes arguably the best defense/spy missions frame in the game right now. Also that ass fat.

I totally agree, its almost the same problem they did to Ember after rework, the potential is there but it's like they're scared to use common sense to give these fair power.
Wisp was really great for me to transition from lower levels to higher level content. She buffs teammates with health, speed and crowd control. She makes stealth look like a joke. And her 3rd ability can actually stomp out enemies if your other weapons do high dps by transferring that same damage to other enemies. She's the utility warframe if you take the time to learn how to use her set.
Always wondered why you can't constantly refresh the electric proc stun when you can do so for impact.

The shock mote is bad because it is on 4 players at once, it would be a bit ridiculous if everyone would become a Vauban. The health mote can give Wisp over 3000 health and health regen as fast as Oberons. Imagine Inaros. The 2 is very meh, i can agree with that. The passive is useless, but not as much as every other passive in the game. The 3rd ability isn't there for the ping pong effect, it synergies well with her 4, since casting it on enemies affected by her 3 have a 100 percent chance to spawn those missile things from enemies hit by it, which will not kill the target you are aiming at, but it will kill everything around it since the damage gets multiplied by a fuck ton.

I've found that the shock comes quite handy when it keeps enemies still. Even if it is for a small duration, if you deal enough damage in that time period, then it would be very effective. But that also depends on how you mod wisp I guess, like a rage and adrenaline build. But it is useful without energy too, so you don't have to use 3 every time you want to stun
Shock mote isnt great but it helps with condition overload melee build and wisp is pretty great for melee because of haste
She has probably the best parts of other frames on her with a few upgrades, all in one kit
Oberons healing (+bonus max hp)
Volt's Speed (but trading reload for fire rate)
Loki's Invis (while jumping) and Switch Teleport (which is opt in and doesnt use 2 abilities)
Excals Radial Blind which you can use with her passive and Exodia Contagion (although a bit niche)
Vaubans Tesla except it aint garbage too lol
You make some valid points about the sun lazer but the other points I would have to argue.
The shock buff is good when you have a team because like you mentioned than makes 2-4 sources that have different timing.
The orbs that come off of enemies shouldn't spawn orbs innately. Its seems like a mod upgrade for wisp.
But yes sun lazer needs a buff, like haste increasing tick speed or making it MUCH less energy draining.
Team mates are not likely to always be in your area or fighting your specific targets. And if they were, then shock motes wouldn't be needed because... Theres 4 Tenno shooting everything or otherwise obliterating all forms of life in such a small area.
Orbs should spawn orbs innately because it would make up for the lackluster coverage of her 4. If they're going to keep 4 without any sort of scaling or tick increase, this would be a fair compromise. If yah think it shouldn't, it would help to provide a reason. Because a frame like Revenant shouldn't have something like this, as his orbs keep passively spawning. Wisp has to actually make them individually though
@@TriburosOnline The is probably a lot of truth to that. And I haven't played high levels with her so you are probably right but the shock definitely feels like its helping when in game. I play with people that talk about the shock buff being overpowered. I don't think its as bad as you think but I sure its not the an amazing ability.
I definitely think the orbs spawning orb would be amazing but I definitely think that if the orbs can spawn orbs it should be a change on kill (for the orbs at least) and that any player or companion should be able to trigger the orb spawns.
Idk to be honest though. Yes some of the changes would be amazing but also, it doesn't necessarily need to outshine others to be amazing for me. Sometimes its just having diffent ability together make it amazing. Overall your probably right.
Another counter argument for comparing Excalibur with Wisp.
Excal's sword is good on its own, but his kit (not counting outside modding) supports the blade, mainly the blind to do ABSURD damage and the dash for resets and gap closer.
Wisp Kamehameha is ok on its own but her kit doesnt really do ,much for it.
What im saying is if your gonna give a Kamehameha to a warframe Wisp should be the ranged equivalent to Excal.

Her shock thingy is useful as a failsafe for those sneaky butchers that hit you from behind whitout notice.
as someona that likes playing support, i really appreciate having a support fram that can do MORE THEN JUST SUPPORT.
@Triburos Not mad or anything, just going to point out some details you seemed unaware of which improve her kit a fair amount. You may already know some of this, but some of it you definitely missed.
-The health buff from her Health mote is more than potent enough to drop Vitality altogether, leaving you with a whole extra mod slot and 12 more mod points. Use that slot for Adaptation and she becomes really, really hard to kill.
-Her 4 has infinite punch-through, only limited by its Range (affected by mods). This makes it better for groups, and less focused on single-target damage.
-Farther emphasizing the group-killer nature, Tthe damage multiplier given by Wisp's 3 applies to the sparks produced, not the damage dealt to the enemy itself. The way this combos with her 4 specifically is a guaranteed spark chance and the infinite punch through, meaning you use 3 then point your 4 into a group and the sparks do most of the damage. More Strength=higher multiplier on those sparks.
Focusing a single target, her 3 does nothing for you and you lose out on 4/5ths of the damage-per-target you would otherwise be doing (assuming you have 200% Strength, which you should shoot for as a minimum). That's ignoring that you're only hitting one when you could be hitting more, and the fact that the sparks try to hit headshots and get headshot multipliers.
-I recommend dropping Energy Conversion for Transient Fortitude; you don't need much Duration, and consistent Strength is actually a lot more valuable than you might think. 3/4ths of her abilities scale *hard* with Strength, and some of those scalings act as literal multipliers on each other.
-She has enough base Energy (and doesn't use much of it aside from her 4) that Flow/Primed Flow is unnecessary. Natural Talent fits better, and helps support the fast-paced playstyle that she excels with. (This one is an opinion, but may help.)
Whether any of this is helpful, I leave it to you.

You cannot place the flowers on the distance, but you can hold her 2 for decoy to fly much faster and teleport on release. Then on the way back, since flowers stay infinitely unless cast in number greater than 6, you can teleport to them pointing at them and using 3. Decoy teleporting allow to bypass cameras and laser doors like you would on Nova or switch telly Loki.
Also, Gas procs and Slash bleed will produce TONS of sparks when enemy is under her 3. And when we are at that, for whatever reason, her 3 has line of sight, but shock mote is not xD
For the weird usage of particles to define Wisp being invisible...that’s because she has a unique variant of Invisibility FX; Wisp is partially visible, and emits particles, instead of becoming a hologram like the rest of the cast.
The evidence is from using Shade, as that particular Sentinel reveals the magic behind Wisp’s passive.
One great use for all three motes is the game mode defection.
It keeps the infested stunned with shock moted, prevents the defectors from losing health while increasing their max, and boost their movement speed. A Wisp on her own can carry on side while the other teammates covers the other nodes.

Here's a bit of a fun fact.
Wisp can do all aerial melee actions without breaking her passive invisibility.
This includes throwing glaves and launching special projectiles (like exodia contagion zaws)

I run a Power Strength Wisp, and have 84% haste with 33 second duration on my motes, she kills it. The shock motes count as a CC for Condition overload, and *rarely* do they last long enough for another static shot to have effected it at all.I rarely even need to use my 3 for CC because because the Shock mote and the rest of my team having shock mote most things are CC'd and the extra damage isn't needed for 95% of the content when you're power zooming around slashing or shooting. Power Strength is so incredibly good on her, and with a rage mod or hunter adrenaline mod you won't have any sort of mana issue. I rarely use her 4, its good but not really better then a good weapon good, her 1-3 is were her kit really shines.

I talked about that near the end. But it doesn't do much. Orb damage is based on damage used to spawn it; you can get more damage from your orbs with your weapon than your laser because armor will drastically be walling out the laser until the corrosive stacks get goin'

@@TriburosOnline Must have missed that part then, and I know someone told me about trying to combine her 3 and 4. When I tested it out it very quickly annihilated the Corpus troops in Orb Vallis, but I have not really used it against enemies higher than level 60 like you have. Still fun to use though!

Personally I think Wisp is quite a good frame considering how many aspects of the game she covers. Health mote allows me to completely bypass any health buffer mods and only use adaptation, and her passive actually a lot of survivability as well because u can jump up, avoiding burst damage, reset enemy targeting via the cloak, then abuse the fact that majority of mobs in this game are unable to hit anything above their heads. Haste mote is just good. Shock is decent enough as a passive cc around the frame, problem lies in the proc itself as you said. Don't worry, damage 3.0 will fix. Her 2 is great as a panic button, double tap for an on demand rolling guard effect. 3 recently got the change that gives guarenteed proc on kill, still wish it was a proper blind like inaros or excal. Also, the 3/1 teleport synergy doesn't appear to have a limit on range but I could be wrong. Double tick rate of her 4 at base, then double again whilst channeling and then it's a worthwhile damage ability

My main concern is just your fashion now. I have played this woman for so little time yet I haven’t regretted playing her. I have a friend who actually keeps us up to date on what roles frames excel at. But that aside, this is mainly just a comment regarding your fashion
I like that once you got the video to that sweet 10min for adrev (even tho wisp in it of herself is a demonetization waiting to happen) that you kept going with very valid points that don't make her as good as 'some' of her fanbase claims she is, one of the first and only trolls around that state something that pisses everyone off but actually has valid points
also 7 forma later I found she's a very nice/similar role to oberon, 1 amazing healing ability that applies to the team too, and some fun I guess rest of the kit that exists.

I think the point behind the Breech Surge orbs is that it rewards dealing with the enemies yourself, and while you have a point regarding letting an orb that kills a Surged enemy spawn a new orb, I think it's not going to be considered because of how easy it is to just blanket an area with the ability. That said, if it does get implemented I think it'd be more balanced to have the orbs not get the damage multiplier rather than have a lesser chance of spawning, since that would still base the reaction on your performance rather than massive exponential scaling.
I love wisp hehe. Also she does have pretty good CC with her breach surge if you pair it with the will o wisp. Being invisible almost forever is pretty good imo.
I use somewhat full power wisp (92 hp/sec) with 1 umbra mod bc I wasted the forma on a frame.
In my exp, her 1 and 3 are the main abilitys to use. Tank up your team and make sure that every kill they make takes an other enemie down.
Works great for a lot of gametypes including survival
And basicly fits in every team comp. Syran for dps / wisp support / nova for cc / inaros tank, or octavia buffs
Or combine it with a Oberon for even more heal.
Wisps 1 is a Oberon heal and a valkyr att buff AND a volt speed buff.
So yeah, she is a welcome addition to my arsenal.
The tick rate should be upped and the damage lowered a bit to compensate, it’d be more natural than any other buff they could give her ultimate other than just increasing the base damage, again.

She's definitely not an endgame frame, more midgame than anything considering you unlock Jupiter super early and you can get to the Sacrifice Quest pretty quickly. The ropalolyst fight isn't even that hard if you have the beginner's trifecta: a rhino, a hek and a heavy blade zaw. The hexenon cost does suck though, definitely.

Her 2 is invisibility and when it ends it makes you invulnerable for 3 seconds. You can literally make her the tankiest frame in the game with 175% efficiency and just spamming 2 twice for invincibility on command.
Hey videos great and all but why does your equinox (2:02) look like she got shunted into the Splatoon Dimension and now spends 2 hours crying in the bathtub as she scrubs her skin raw because she can't get the colours out.

Hands down, Wisps theme doesn't live up to what it implies. When I think about an etheral being I want to see something passing through walls and enemies, spawn hordes of ghosts and manipulate your surroundings. I really like wisp and enjoy playing her but her theme reminds me more of a gardener to be honest. Plants and sunlight my friends...
If the motes looked differently, like Will-o-Wisps just floating there instead of plants, I think we're 75% of the way there. The 2 is ethereal, goes through walls and enemies, and can be teleported to. The 3 manipulates your surroundings with massive coverage. The passive makes you blink in and out of view for enemies. The sun laser is still weird, you'd maybe want to summon a swarm of little lights that attack similar to Titania razorflies or whatever instead. My point is, I feel like we're not as far off as you're saying, though obviously I do agree to some extent. I just think Gardener Wisp is at least as much a playstyle choice as it is kit design.
My proposed Wisp rework
Passive: After a double jump, Wisp can remain floating in the air for 3 seconds (separate from aim glide) by holding [JUMP]. She gains complete invisibility while floating. Enemies killed with her 4 resets the cooldown.
1: Haste - Fine as is. Health - Fine as is. Shock - Staggers the enemies with an electric blast while making them take 15% increased damage from all sources. Four's buff: Each mote give 45% increased damage along with their effects. Health - leeches health from enemies damaged by four to nearby allies. Haste - Four costs 20% less energy to maintain. Shock - Basically condition overload - more damage based on status effects on enemies.
2: Fine as is
3: Enemies killed by orbs spawn more orbs at reduced damage, 5% reduced damage every enemy killed. Wave goes through walls.
4: 10% reduced energy cost, 10% increased damage, naturally deals radiation and corrosive procs.
I like the idea that each mote provides a different effect to the sun beam.
Y’know, now that I think about it, wisp very close to being the female noob saibot. Well I mean as far as her theme is concerned. Would’ve been nice to see her throw a ball of energy at the feet of enemies that would transport to another dimension and back with some type of debuff or proc or something cool like that.

I have a basic design, a ballet dancer.
I find her kit to be a bit too good for a support frame to be honest. Some of it overshadows other frames' abilities. Not counting the 4's damage output, her first ability gives massive health boosts, shock stuns, and movement/attack speed buffing. That's quite a lot for one ability.
I like wisp, but thing is she is somehow similar to revenant... She doesn't feel like having a specific theme. I know revenant is supposed to be a sentient frame, but his abilities don't picture him as a sentient maybe except his 4. Wisp seems to have a similar problem
i love playing wisp, but i cant argue with you on any of those points.

You can't perform other actions while holding wisp's 2 on controller. That makes me sad and my button-holding/operating fingers frustrated.
