The Bulgarians have survived for 5 centuries as slaves to the Turks precisely because of indestructible spirit, faith and centuries of tradition! Everyone who stepped on Bulgarian land falls in love for a lifetime because Bulgaria is Paradise! I'm proud to be BULGARIAN!

Very well said guys. I was about to write a long comment but you covered almost everything. It is wonderful to see two young people from Western Europe embracing our culture and trying to absorb as much as you can. Indeed you should travel to those places where you can feel our culture and what we are made of. And of course, something Chad touched upon was about our difficult past and the pride of being Bulgarians. Our culture and our traditions is what has kept us united. Keep up the good work. Haha i live there and actually that festival is at the first sunday of june , i think when you were at the kapana fest , at the same time here was being held the rose festival and the people in the video are from the local ensembles and some of the queen of roses , because we have a beauty pageant every year and choose a queen.
This is why I am so proud to be Bulgarian. Love you so much guys and your excitement about watching this Bulgarian traditions.

They collect the roses, then boil them in pots in a rose brewery, rose oil is obtained. Bulgaria is the largest exporter of rose oil in the world and it is the highest quality in the world. 1 gram of Bulgarian rose oil costs 56 dollars. From 3 tons of oil roses make 1 liter of rose oil. It is used in cosmetics.
