God this happens too often. The creator has a guest, He says his link will be in the description. And all to often IT'S NOT !! Please post your friends link for us.
I'm from England and we call a vanity, a dressing table, not many in use anymore sadly, mainly because the rooms are smaller now. I have a standing mirror on my chest if drawers. I used to work at an auction room and loved all the old furniture. Love the way you treat the places you go to, I wish more people had as much respect for other people's belongings like you do Lesley.
I don't know how to thank you dear Lesley, I can simply float into another world by seeing that fascinating bedroom, the old book in it, the rusty telephone, overgrown yards, huge spider web, and that incredible car graveyard...! Truly magical! This is absolutely what we call 'beautiful decay'! A great discovery and a great great video that deserves an Oscar Award! Take care, young man, you are a gem! Love, love, love from Sri Lanka!
Thank you for being so respectful with each abandoned homes, and not taking any thing out, love when you talk about the history of each places you explore. Also I get really sad thinking about the families that used to live in those homes, how alive it was & now it just sits there abandoned. Thank you for sharing this video with us ❤
You seem to be a very nice guy. I love to see you get excited about some of these old places. It is obvious how much you love your work, and it is visible in your eyes. You do a great job and I love watching the show. Thank you. 💕
Yes, I have my "dresser" that I purchased in 1998. This pad has to be the best example of everything abandoned. The spider webs, the frayed and tattered curtains, the mirrors crackling, the leather on the chair cracking, the termites eating back the wooden furniture etc.. Proof nothing can last forever, and proof not even your greatest passion or love can be taken with you when that last page of your story ends. ie trophies and deceased pets. Thanks for such a awesome tour. Best one yet as far as decay.
Another amazing explore Lesley! How strange to find an abandoned decaying dollhouse inside of an abandoned home. I am pretty sure the owners were well known by the locals in town. Too bad the place can’t be restored by the town as a museum dedicated to the owners or the home put to a good use such as an animal rescue shelter for dogs.
I have a cherry wood vanity in the Queen Anne style with curved legs... I've had it 30 years, my mom bought it for me. I use it every day. It is my favorite piece other than my desk from childhood 💞💞
This home makes me so sad…. Evidently there children or other close relatives could handle their personal items. So sad.. my heart breaks. Thanks for being respectful.. as we are created from dust everything returns to dust….
Sad to see all those beautiful pieces of furniture going to ruin. Those things, like the people who owned them, is being lost, but thanks to you I am getting to see how people in other countries lived. Thanks for this amazing video.
So Lesley, you asked if anyone had and used a vanity. I'm in my 60's and bought a inexpensive vanity in the early 90's. I still use it every day. I couldn't put on my makeup standing at the bathroom mirror, so that's why there's a vanity. Thank you for showing this beautiful time capsule.
I have a gorgeous antique vanity with an enormous mirror and my daughter has a vanity that was her grandmothers. We use ours every day. I love antique furniture. I have collected pieces since I was 17. Thank you for this explore and all the history. I adore your channel.
I could just cry because of all the beautiful furniture just left there. I love the dresser with the mirrors. I’m sure it’s worth a lot. Why do families abandon homes like this ??
Those ski boots were so nice! And I loved the white cabinet with the floral glass on the front doors of it. Sooooo pretty! It kills me that its left like this and will never be enjoyed by anyone again. :(
The taxidermy dogs are likely her first breeding pair, or her champion breeders. She is probably IN all of those dog magazines. I still have and use my vanity. My home is furnished with antiques but I have always had a vanity. Great job as always.🖤🇨🇦
Yes Lesley, i have a vanity ( dressing table ) here in the 🇬🇧 I've had mine for 31 yrs and each time we decorate, we make the dressing table and wardrobes, match the room again, by using my imagination! Wouldn't be without it! I also have a mirror in 3 parts too and the 2 on the sides rotate!
What an interesting French manor.Love all the older furnishings, and the history behind these abandoned homes. I hope the antiques and the memories can be passed down to generations.🧐💖
A lot of the countries he explores the furniture, house, belongings usually are Not passed down to the next generation because of unreasonable tax laws that causes a burden to the family so everything just rots away.
This was so interesting and such a shame that it is just going to ruin, but I thank you all for showing it it us. I wonder if the part of the house with the wooden beans was the original house and then people added on to it. I also have to say that I have a vanity and a rotary dial telephone. Also I would like to tell you how beautiful the music you add to these videos. I think we tend to hear only you telling us about the houses, but the music really provides such a good ambience. Please keep up all this good work. It is truly wonderful to see the houses and to hear the stories of the people who lived there.
I also love vanities. My parents left me a small inheritance and I searched for two years until I found a beautiful vanity in a large antique market, which I bought immediately! Love it, still use it daily!
In South Africa we call a "Vanity" a Dressing Table. They have fallen in disuse in the last say two generations. Mainly because in new houses bedrooms have become desperately small. One can hardly fit a double bed, let alone any other furniture. How fast and cheap life has become.
Same here in America. We use both terms. No one knows how to build furniture like that anymore. They are classic design and so much better looking than the modern stuff. IMO.
In the US they are also called Vanities. But, well at least from what I have seen, the rooms in the US (as well as houses in general) seem to be getting larger. May I emphasize this is simply what I have seen
Correct. A dressing table is slightly different than a vanity. Vanities are more of a desk with a seat and a dressing table has drawers for clothing. We deal with the exact same issue here in America…rooms have gotten so small, it’s difficult to fit a complete bedroom set. Sad that we’ve become sardines when the world has plenty of land for all. What makes it even more tragic are these abandoned mansions, castles and homes all over the world.
@MustBe maybe for the rich here in the US, but for the poor the houses and apartments are getting much smaller. That and also so many are having to live as multigenerations in the home, because of the difficulty getting well-paying jobs and the cost of living being so high. I so wish that we could go back to the way life was for our parents and grandparents. I don't like anything about this new world or it's way of life. There is no fun, community or care for things anymore. It's so lonely and just all about technology and getting by and through each monotonous day.
I have a vanity. But I also love old furniture. Before I lost everything in the fire in Paradise November 8 2018, I had a similar bed and armoire to what is in the bedroom of this house. It made me cry. In a good way.....
@@sofiabravo1994 The fire taught me so much. I'm not attached to things anymore. I know the value of familial relationships so much more. I appreciate my friends. And I know what I'm made of. More importantly, I know God has carried me through it all. Thank you so much for your kind words.
I bought an old 1930's Dressing Table with side mirrors and I restored it- I love the way it adds such a romantic feel to my bedroom - Thanks Bros for another interesting explore.💕
thank you for sharing your wonderful experiences. in my younger days i did a lot of urban and military exploring, it was such fun. in that time our country had gained freedom from NATO and NATO left many empty buildings and materials and it was all to be explored. you bring back such memories, now me and my wife watch your channel and have a good hour of fun, keep them comming , keep up the good work. love your work, btw im from malta
I also appreciate your respect for the houses that you go through especially giving your age. My theory about the vanities is that my grandmother and who was born in 1910 always had one and I wondered if they were more used a because there weren't bathrooms to go to with mirrors so they would sit in their house or if because the makeup of the day took longer and therefore they would use the vanities.. I love that you tell some of the history about the houses but I'm always curious as to why the descendants of these people haven't claimed the house or cleaned out the things that belong to their parents or family member. My reference is in America so I don't know if some of the things would be different in Europe
I love your latest videos even more Lesley!! The short intros with journey to the abandoned places builds the story and magic of the adventure and also shows how hard your work (driving early in the morning such long distances in the cold and dark!). Lovely grand dame of a house. Some of these antiques looked really priceless and must have been fantastic in their heyday. Thanks Lesley and will be sure to check out William’s channel too! 🤗👍
You all are so awesome. Thank you so much for doing this. You have a true oassion for this and it is such important work to film these forgotten places before they are gone. And let them be appreciated one last time, but forever because you are filming them. Bless you all!
YAY!!! Good to see you. I enjoy your adventures so much! I appreciate how you share the information, and treat things so respectfully! "If at first you don't succeed... Try try again!!" Stay safe out there, and God bless you! 🙏🏻💖
Heyy my dear friend Lesley, what a wonderful explore video! Your video is always my personal highlight on Sunday evening. Here I remember a quotation from you, when you said once "If someone has a passion in life, he lives - he really lives!" - I also love your passion for exploring, because you are all the time doing it with a deep and sincere interest for the life of the former owners, when you very respectfully are approaching their life backgrounds and the visible remains in the locations, you are exploring. - I do even have the impression, when you are commenting and focussing with your camera the belongings of the people, having once lived there, they seem to come to a second kind of a n e w life!! - That makes your videos so unique, and I can always feel your wonderfully kind heart in every word you are saying, my friend! It was this time amazing to see all the historically interesting furniture and the everyday items in that mansion, somehow telling a story of their own! - Simply fascinating to follow you through these abandoned and decaying rooms with still so many beautiful and nicely preserved items to see. - Thank you, bro, for sharing this once more outstanding explore adventure with us viewers. - it was for me also so very pleasant to see your friend William again. - About your question concerning the vanity, or better the "dressing table": maybe you might remember, that in the bedroom, where your friends Jeroen and William were sleeping, when you visited me, there is such a piece of furniture, but also my mother didn't anymore use it in this way. - Stay safe, my friend, peace and much love! - Wishing you all the best and kindest regards from Switzerland.
Yes I use a vanity it’s from the 1940s my husband got it for me a few years ago at a vintage store! I didn’t realize how much I actually find it handy to use, it’s much more comfortable and convenient than using the bathroom and standing… 😅 I also collect a lot of vintage clothing and home decor from the 30s-50s era!
This is fascinating. I wish you were able to research more into the history of the his house. Those exposed beams hint at a much older building added to much later, maybe a century or more.
Hi Simon BA, I fully agree to you. When watching I thought absolutely the same! - Wishing you all the best, peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.
Iam absolutely in love with your passion to make these amazing videos for people like myself. I get so lost in time enjoying all of them that I have to set a time limit and still be productive! Thank you both so much.Your efforts are appreciated
Wow this place was so interesting and there is so much left behind. I can’t get used to seeing taxidermy, it’s scary to me 😬 The little doll house was such a awesome find, thanks for sharing this great video 🤗🙏
My daughter as a vanity it’s not as elegant as the one on here but they don’t make them like they used to with so much detailing which in my opinion is such a shame but we all have to move with the times. Great explore thank you for taking us along ❤️ Also at 30:55 they are binoculars I always got my fingers trapped trying to close it up when I was little, I still have them from my Nan when she passed ❤️
i do so look forwards to sundays when i get a notification on U TUBE that your doing a tour of a property..( and thank you to the lads that go round with you ) can you mention there names now and then so we can all appreciate them as well for the time all of you put in to bring this show to use. thank you to all
Thank you for sharing this home. I agree with you that vanities are wonderful and very useful pieces of furniture. Gave mine to my granddaughter when I downsized and had no room for it. I understand that different cultures have a different way of doing things, but can't help but wonder about those dog cages outside. Seems kind of cruel. She must have bred the dogs. Wondering what happened to all the puppies that did not make the cut? Its sad. I have 2 dogs sweet dog that follow me everywhere, I'd never leave them outside in cages. :(
❤absolutely love your respect for abandoned homes❤❣ absolutely love you and all the amazing videos ,and thank you for sharing and all your hard work ❤ 💜 again absolutely love you and be safe ❤ 💙
It’s so crazy the way these homes are left to rot away 😭 I do have a cherry wood bedroom set including a dresser with that style mirror that folds in on the sides . I got it on my 13th birthday and I’m 50 now…my husband and I still use it in our master bedroom ❤️
This is another one of yours going in my favorites! Is the wallpaper- material(fabric) or paper wallpaper? I did have those phones growing up ! It took forever when you were in a hurry or trying to be a 10th caller to a radio station. You'd have to dial all but the last number to even get in the top 10, lol.
The lady must have been an excellent dog breeder and shower. The old furniture. Is wonderful. I have a 100 year old vanity and the side mirrors fold in to the main one and has the stool to match. I love it. Thank you so much.
I do have a vanity. I also have one for my daughter. I use mine, she doesn't use hers unless she is putting make up on. She leaves a tray of unique and very pretty perfume bottles on it. She is starting to collect them, but not any vintage ones, so far. I will sit and write a letter at mine too, aside from apllying make up. I like having them if front of a window. I am just getting ready to choose a new upholstery for the little bench. I'd like to get a more antique one and put the washing bowl and pitcher on the vanity. Someday, hopefully after I move I will hunt one down. What a special place! The furniture is soooo beautiful !
I have my mother's vanity with 2 side folding mirrors. It's irreplaceable. It was her wedding gift from my father. They had the complete bedroom set with 2 side tables with a drawer and a door undernearh. Beautiful wood and handles. .
Wow this was a different one they all are so lnteresting such a story never have seen a stuffed dog on a wall though Thankyou again sir for sharing hug
So many antiques, a very unique house. With all the beds, what happened to the children, They did not claim anything , so sad, I enjoyed this video very much.😊 Yes I have my grandmother’s phone exactly like that one and have used a rotary dial phone like that growing up.
Hi Lesley, thank you for sharing this unique abandoned house with a animal lover, like myself who has 4 cats inside & feeds a wild feral cat outside & I feed birds & squirrels outside. I`m in USA.
What you thought was a camera was actually binoculars for plays & operas. I have my great grandmother's. They are in perfect shape. They close to protect lens. Wish I could post pictures.
What a awesome French manor house 🏠👌. Love 💘 all of the antiques left behind. To bad that this house 🏠 can't be restored 😑. Take care and thanks again for the explore 😀😊👍
Wow this was an awesome explore.... so many memories and wealth buried deep inside......those trophies 🏆left me spell bound...Take care.. waiting for more videos...those Dog houses were amazing
Another great video! To answer your question, yes I still do have a vanity. It is inherited and I use it as my personal space in my bedroom to prepare for the day. Keep doing awesome videos!
I'm just at ahhhhhh with the old homes you find wish they could be saved and remodeled again too bad it couldn't be done I'm just amazed what is left behind in those home.
Hello Lesley, the hotel Weisses Rössl is not in Germany, but in Austria, located at Lake Wolfgang (Wolfgangsee). Love your channel and how respectful you are. Greetings from Vienna, Michelle
In the U,S. we say the third time is Charm for you to explore the house the fourth time was Charm.🙂Love the wallpaper and furniture.I still have an old rotary phone ,it was in the house when we bought it.😀I like old vehicles as well. The lady loved her dogs .I also know a lot of women that uses vanity's to put their makeup on and fix their hair. You can fold the mirrors in to see side and back of your hair.Lovely home.Be safe love from Oklahoma👍❤️🥰🇺🇸
Yes Leslie we do and can still buy any style of vanity for the bedroom. The best of course are antique or handed down from generation to generation but furniture stores in Canada sell plenty of them. My kids are your age and they like the “old style” too! 😀🇨🇦
Yes, I am 75 years old and I have a vanity and I use still use. It belonged to my mother! They were necessary in the days before large bathrooms that now have good mirrors. Nowadays, women do their hair in their bathrooms and spread their makeup items, etc., out on their sinks. In the days before indoor bathrooms, vanities were used mainly by women, but also men had them in their rooms, too. If you were wealthy, man and wife did not confine themselves to sharing a room. Vanities were very important because a woman could see what her hair, as well as her dress neckline, looked like from all directions. Her maid held up a hand mirror for her to see the back of her head. When the woman stood about four feet away from her vanity, she could get a full-length view of herself.

Queeeee lindo que sos.
Anyone who loves history would also love your show! Thank you for all your attention and respect!
The sad thing is when somebody passes on that family members just leave their things to rot. It would make more sense to give it to those in need .

Can't imagine sleeping with all the barking dogs and squawking birds in and outside.

So interesting to see it amongst the houses that have people living in them. This one is so much larger than it's neighbors. Hope it gets restored!
Loving it, what a beautiful place , thanks Lesley, watching from Ireland 🇮🇪

Hi Ann, all the best from Buenos Aires 👋
Heyy my dear friend Lesley, what a wonderful explore video! Your video is always my personal highlight on Sunday evening.
That was once more a very interesting and touching background story you were telling about that couple with their life passions.
Here I remember a quotation from you, when you said once "If someone has a passion in life, he lives - he really lives!" - I also
love your passion for exploring, because you are all the time doing it with a deep and sincere interest for the life of the former

of the people, having once lived there, they seem to come to a second kind of a n e w life!! - That makes your videos so unique,
and I can always feel your wonderfully kind heart in every word you are saying, my friend!
It was this time amazing to see all the historically interesting furniture and the everyday items in that mansion, somehow
telling a story of their own! - Simply fascinating to follow you through these abandoned and decaying rooms with still so
many beautiful and nicely preserved items to see. - Thank you, bro, for sharing this once more outstanding explore adventure

in this way. - Stay safe, my friend, peace and much love! - Wishing you all the best and kindest regards from Switzerland.
Love the story’s that go with your adventures 💕👍
I bought an antique vanity in 1995 because it reminded me of the vanity in my grandmother's house from the 1930's. Use it all the time!
Yes I use a vanity it’s from the 1940s my husband got it for me a few years ago at a vintage store! I didn’t realize how much I actually find it handy to use, it’s much more comfortable and convenient than using the bathroom and standing… 😅
I also collect a lot of vintage clothing and home decor from the 30s-50s era!
This is fascinating. I wish you were able to research more into the history of the his house. Those exposed beams hint at a much older building added to much later, maybe a century or more.
Yes those beams do suggest a much older stricter was the original dwelling.A contrast with the modern clothes washing machine and drier.
You truly r my favourite explorers! I also love Adam Mark too here in the 🇬🇧
Your narration and a bit of your research on the owners of your exploration is awesome. Keep it up
My sister has an old vanity that she uses to make jewelry. The mirrors work well to reflect light and make the workspace very well lit.
Fantastic explore, great job guys. 👍🏻👍🏻
Hi Simon BA, I fully agree to you. When watching I thought absolutely the same! - Wishing you all the best,
peace and kindest regards from Switzerland.
@@willyegger4488 Hey Willy, and all the best from Buenos, albeit a little rainy and overcast today. 👋
Iam absolutely in love with your passion to make these amazing videos for people like myself. I get so lost in time enjoying all of them that I have to set a time limit and still be productive! Thank you both so much.Your efforts are appreciated
Wow this place was so interesting and there is so much left behind.
I can’t get used to seeing taxidermy, it’s scary to me 😬
The little doll house was such a awesome find, thanks for sharing this great video 🤗🙏
Love the singer machine was best machin ever made.
My daughter as a vanity it’s not as elegant as the one on here but they don’t make them like they used to with so much detailing which in my opinion is such a shame but we all have to move with the times. Great explore thank you for taking us along ❤️ Also at 30:55 they are binoculars I always got my fingers trapped trying to close it up when I was little, I still have them from my Nan when she passed ❤️
i do so look forwards to sundays when i get a notification on U TUBE that your doing a tour of a property..( and thank you to the lads that go round with you ) can you mention there names now and then so we can all appreciate them as well for the time all of you put in to bring this show to use.
thank you to all
Everyone peoples left this house,,sad. But beautiful house,,and everything this feelings,,super good again you video. Thank you guys..BYEE 😚👋😄👌🌏🍃🍂🍃🍂
How beautiful and that little doll house was gorgeous
Hi Lesley iv been looking all evening trying to find you ,hope your well much lv Ann xx
Hi Ann Smith, many greetings and all the best to you from Switzerland. - Take care and kindest regards.
The bed upstairs was beautiful to see. I also liked that vintage dial phone. We has a dial phone growing up.

❤absolutely love your respect for abandoned homes❤❣ absolutely love you and all the amazing videos ,and thank you for sharing and all your hard work ❤ 💜 again absolutely love you and be safe ❤ 💙
yes I want a vanity so bad, that I had to make do with I have and again I been wanting a vanity for 15 years
It’s so crazy the way these homes are left to rot away 😭
I do have a cherry wood bedroom set including a dresser with that style mirror that folds in on the sides . I got it on my 13th birthday and I’m 50 now…my husband and I still use it in our master bedroom ❤️
I have an old vanity and use it frequently. I fell in love and had to have. I've had it over 20 years, and the mirror swivels.
Amo este canal!!! 💝💝💝💝 Estos chicos son muy profesionales, nos hacen transportarnos al pasado y vivir la historia del lugar. Son unos historiadores.
The lady must have been an excellent dog breeder and shower. The old furniture. Is wonderful. I have a 100 year old vanity and the side mirrors fold in to the main one and has the stool to match. I love it. Thank you so much.
Wow, how beautiful this house is, thank you for lugging us.
Priceless antiques. Love this old home
Hi Lesley. Wow beautiful house . Love all the antiques another great find. Stay safe.👍🏻❤️👏🏻🥰
Oh your voice, so fascinating !! Well, another great find.
I have my mother's vanity with 2 side folding mirrors. It's irreplaceable. It was her wedding gift from my father. They had the complete bedroom set with 2 side tables with a drawer and a door undernearh. Beautiful wood and handles. .
Beautiful, especially when it stays in the family, and coming from her father so sentimental for generations.to come.
Wow this was a different one they all are so lnteresting such a story never have seen a stuffed dog on a wall though
Thankyou again sir for sharing hug

I have never seen a mounted dog head!! WOW!!
I`m in USA.
Yes! I do have a vanity and use it everyday! The one I use now was originally my grandmother's, however I had one from the store before that!
Fancinating, thanks for taking us along
You are wonderful! Thank you for this video.
What you thought was a camera was actually binoculars for plays & operas. I have my great grandmother's. They are in perfect shape. They close to protect lens. Wish I could post pictures.
I bought my daughter a vanity when she was a child and she absolutely loves it

Hello Lesley, the hotel Weisses Rössl is not in Germany, but in Austria, located at Lake Wolfgang (Wolfgangsee). Love your channel and how respectful you are. Greetings from Vienna, Michelle
Welll done William. 🤗. Hello Lesley, this was, as usual, a brilliant house to explore. Take care til next video.
I like when you find pictures of the residents that like there.
In the U,S. we say the third time is Charm for you to explore the house the fourth time was Charm.🙂Love the wallpaper and furniture.I still have an old rotary phone ,it was in the house when we bought it.😀I like old vehicles as well.
Wauw wat een mooi staaltje urbex 🙌🏻 Groet uit la France Jorg en Babs 😀
